Genre = it classifies the copies into different styles and labels to make it look like it is not a copy. BTW, the other song, the 1 left, is not a hit song, but it is original. The problem with this 1 song is that it didn't get discovered.
I don't want to sound too tin foil hat but I don't believe an average joe can break into the music business anymore. All the big acts are created and managed by the money men at the top -- the little guys trying to 'break into' the big time are there as cover for the big money men to place their chosen people into the public consciousness and make it look fair and 'on merit' when it isn't. A little guy may make a living, but the 'big signings' are all planned out long, long in advance.
