Oof, I got real bad news from the future...
I've worked several elections, both for candidates and for the government, campaigns and polling. I was once working for a candidate and was also a count observer for the polling place, and they made me stand out of arm's reach, I was not permitted to conceal my hands or lean towards the table, and each vote was reviewed and counted by various counters, who laid them all out in groups for each candidate, and all the counters and observers had to count without touching them and give the tally, proving multiple people independently came to the same end result before anyone even makes a single mark on the space for results, let alone records a number.
I've also done the registration booth where I had to take the few government issued legal photo ID cards, match the face, find them on the list, verify their address either on the card or on a piece of mail from an institution such as a bank or government agency with their name on it, before anyone was even allowed to enter the area where the actual votes were cast, and voters are monitored and cannot remain in that area after their ballot is cast, they walk out of the booth and are immediately shown the exit.
I've also gone door-to-door with voting registration database before an election to confirm the person(s) registered to vote live at that address, and if they do, to verify it by checking a government issued ID and taking their signature. When someone was still registered but died, I had to verify that with a death certificate, and remove them from the data base of registered voters.
I've also facilitated home voting, where someone who cannot leave their house is visited by officials and cast their secret ballot in their residence, in front of legal observers, all verified with photo ID, and that is after the initial home visit to confirm they live there and show ID to the government agents who go door-to-door verifying the government voter database is correct.
So no. There is no voting fraud. People who try to commit fraud get caught. The government goes above and beyond to avoid it. I know for an absolute fact how insanely difficult it would be cast more than one ballot or change the vote on a ballot to another candidate. Like I want to say it's impossible, but I am allowing for extremely anomalous instances, because nothing is really absolute. It might as well be impossible though. The very concept of widespread voter fraud is extremely laughable.
People who register for mail in voting (which includes absentee voting) have had someone come to their house at some point during the last however many elections they've participated in since they registered, and have had their identity and address confirmed repeatedly, every step of the way. The government requires your legal photo ID every time you interact with a person on their behalf.
Not to mention the other side, which is calling people who are registered members of a party, because the party contacts you as well. They gather less information, but they have your name, address, phone number, all that stuff too. So people even need to provide evidence they exist to their party as well. There is no way for a dead person to be registered, even in the party, which is nowhere near as stringent. The parties call their registered members on the phone every election, asking if they want lawn signs, asking if they need a ride to the polls, or if they can provide rides to others, if they want to attend party functions like dinners with candidates etc.
I have literally done all of these jobs. I know without a shadow of a doubt. Anyone who thinks there could be widespread voter fraud has absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Facts.

Wow, I worked on election polls, there is no way one can vote twice, in person or by mail. Even if they cannot remember sending mail-in ballots, we look at the registration, find the name, address, social security number to make sure he or she registered, if that person says, I did not send my ballot, we give them a different kind of form that is confirmed by the same party and opposite party judges, then placed in a different box. Yes, they can try to vote twice but it will not be counted until by the both judges confirmed. I worked for 10 years. I cannot believe this attorney talks like there is a fraud. If he thinks he is important, so does every American's vote must be counted. This country has many states, not only east coast states.

@@SWest00072 There is registration book, we look at the their registration numbers to see if they are registered, then mach the names, addresses, numbers. Same party judge, then it goes to opposite party judge,, marshal and inspector, okays it. There are no dublicates can happen, If you worked on polls you would understand what I mean. Once the ballots are collected, all ballots are taken with the judges riding in a same car to Sherifs station.Then they are tallied and counted. Try working as a volunteer, you can learn how great our system is.
I don't work election polls and I know that, not to mention you can only vote in your city, at your specified polling place, either in person or by mail.
Personally I was worried I might not have been able to vote this year because I moved just before Covid. I had to update my info in person but the offices were closed, then appointments were 3 months out, Then they reprinted my ID with the old address. In the end I voted, but I know they're comparing the signature to what is on Record....hope it was close enough

My wife and I loved his stint doing Weekend Update on SNL and were looking forward to his gig as a late night host. We were not disappointed. The guy is awesome. A smart, gifted comedey writer with the ability to deliver the goods while being charming as hell. Not taking anything away from his fellow hosts, who all have their strengths, but if I could only watch one, it would definitely be him, with Colbert a very close second.

News stations are now identifying Biden as President Elect. I am so relieved. I am old and not in the best of health. I am not the old lady running marathons, or getting sky diving lessons for my 80th birthday. All during this election process I've been stifling any comments on my fear of surviving 4 more years of Trump and his toadies; fears for myself, my country, my adult children. I have joked about moving to another country, while mentally wondering about cost. I would have to leave everything behind, except my books, DVDs, pictures, and my dog and cat. I have been so tense and depressed I could barely function, while buying xmas presents for a holiday I feared might be my last, here, or in life. But today, as every day for the last week, I woke up to coffee and results checking and saw President ELECT Joe Biden. At last!!! A leader of honesty, sanity, integrity, and HOPE. I might be alone in this, or maybe there's more of us, but I like these shows with no audience. they are funnier when they are spitting jokes nonstop, rather than waiting for audience approval.
It works for the ones that are actually funny but some of them are drowning in silence.
Definitely. It also works a lot better without audience for Trevor Noah and Stephen Colbert. The flow of the show is so much better when there are no interruptions from/for the audience. The ones it doesn't work for are the shows that are barely funny, which are quite many.

@Johnny Sack What does hate mean to you? It's certainly not hate to have crimes properly investigated, brought to trial, argued before a judge and jury and a determination carried out. There's ample evidence for tax fraud and money laundering with regard to Trump, not to mention bribery, extortion etc etc. The best case with the most evidence though, is for tax fraud in New York, where he consistently changed the value of his assets depending on who he was talking to, lenders, or the IRS. Do yourself a favour and read up.

Yes. That is exactly correct. Even if 99.999% of the votes are counted, a trillion votes ahead is not enough. Every single vote has to be counted. Exactly 100% of the votes has to be counted. No roundings. And once exactly 100% of the votes counted, ONLY then you can ask, "how many votes do we need to be ahead". And then the answer is: 1.

We can declare one candidate a winner if there's no mathematical / reasonable option for the other candidate. Like Florida: There are still around 100.000 votes to be counted in Florida at the time of writing, as far as I know. The reason noone talks about that is simple: Trump is leading Florida by ~400.000 votes. While we still should count the remaining votes, and wait for eventual late-arrivals if permitted by Florida law, it feels very unlikely that Biden would be able to get 400.000 votes, so we can call Florida as a Trump victory. We just shouldn't do that too early, or we'll embarrass ourselves when we have to admit we were wrong after every vote is counted. Like in AZ or PA, where at least one of the candidates / news networks already called that state as a win, while it feels at least very competitive at time of writing

Three days ago it was reported around 65% of eligible voters had already sent in/early voted. So even if we assume not a _single_ person went and voted in person and stick with that 65% voting turnout, that's still more than 2million uncounted votes.
I don't doubt Trump will win florida, or the presidency in general tbh, because I have no faith in people. But '20%' is a fucking _huge_ figure when you're dealing with entire populations. 400,000 is next to nothing in that scale.
