Since so many people will be voting by mail this year, step one is to make mail in ballots seem like it's fraught with voter fraud and encourage their base to vote in person. This is because it's likely that it will be closer to the end of November before all the votes have been counted and the winner in the election can be named. Based on previous elections, the bigger the voter turnout, the higher the chance of a Democrat winning. There is the assumption that as the votes are counted throughout the month there will be a "blue shift" since it's likely that Trump supporters will be out on election day voting in person. We are so accustomed to knowing who the President will be by the next day that step two is to push the results of election night as clearly the only ones that matter in an attempt to invalidate the potential that Biden will be named winner once the votes are all counted. There are states even requiring that ballots can't be counted until election day even if they're mailed in early. Irony is, of course, that it is significantly harder to commit voter fraud through mail in, and more likely that legitimate votes will be thrown out simply because the signature doesn't match the one they have on file, despite the fact that people's signatures tend to evolve and change through the years. Whereas it's been shown that many of our current voter machines we use can easily be hacked. Obviously, they will all be singing a different tune if it works out in Trump's favor instead of Biden's.

Unless people are unaware of the protocol for these debates, I think to call it a Trump success or claiming your president dominated the discussion, is a total misrepresentation of the events that unfolded.
Those 2 minutes each, of answering the questions uninterrupted is "holy"! Anyone talking over the other person during those 2 minutes clearly has no respect for the format, the Moderator, their opponent, or indeed for the debate itself.
To dominate this debate you need to respond to and bring good arguments against the views presented by your opponent after both sides had the opportunity to speak. Clearly, none of that happened. Worse still, this was a prepared debate. So to have a few facts and sources to substantiate claims made were very much within the realms of possibilities.
I fear, my friends in the US, for both your and our future.

You need measures that will fully shut the candidates up when the other is talking and I don't really know the right answer to that that isn't draconian tbh. I do know that it is nesecary in a debate for both parties to be listening and that doesn't seem possible at this point.
