- I made this trailer for a game (that does not exist) just to see if anyone else wishes they could get a survival horror warhammer40k game.
In the video, a solitary Space Marine, Ultramarine lands on a planet thats been decimated by world eaters and the daemons of khorne. Why is he alone? Why has the planet been destroyed? Is there enemies still there? Im not sure. Thats kind of the fun of leaving things to a mystery.
Doom 3, Alien Isolation, Dead Space etc. Those Sci Fi Horror games are always so legendary and warhammer 40k has such a good environment for it.
I do not work for games workshop nor do I represent them in anyway.

I love those! The style works for me bloody well, touches something deep inside hahah. Those were good times, no matter how clumsy the games were they still gave so much joy.. now it all looks so damn good and at the same time nearly all of those new games are so utterly boring and weak. Unreal engine and they think they're done, it's sad. Digression, I love both those animations and painting vids though I'm kinda eager to understand your painting style better so only if we can get both, without killing your personal life 😂
I really like the 8 style of it, it makes it look harsh and that sticks very well to the universe

Genuinely one of the coolest 40k animations ive seen Its really cool to see someone actually get the scale of 40k right for once with the insanely tall skyscrapers and titanic fields of bodies hopefully this gets a million views

I’d play this if you were a guardsman! Space marines are a bit too stronk altho they could definitely fill the protag role, I think a lone guardsman would be much more existentially terrifying

Mav makes quality content but seldom ever really delivers on his promises. Life gets in the way, I get it, but every time he says "part 2 coming soon" (on a world eaters painting tutorial short from 8 months ago) and other such things I can't help but lose my faith a little more.

I'm sold. Well, survival horror game could be a good take on Warhammer, with the dangerousity of the universe and the hopelessness of the general situation.
I'd be down for it if we got a hyper obscure marine chapter. Maybe even one more like the mordifactors or a tribal marine.. scout even! A not fully marine having to survive in their own.
I got some ideas.
it reminded me a lot of the gameboy metroid games, and i would play the absolute shit out of a warhammer metroidvania game

@@MaverickNicolson oh yeah I play chaos and sometimes i feel for my xenos brethren who had to wait 20 years for some new sculpts. Also man I thought I was already subscribed I've seen all your vids let me fix that real quick.
My only criticism is the yellow flecks of burning ash should feel more pixely imo, because that effect works *really* beautifully when pixelized. Idk, overall a big fan of this short :)

A. Survival game where you must survive horrors from the warp
Or
B. Battlefront type of game based on Horus Heresy.

This was so awesome that it made me sad it's not a real game
Oh hell yeah, could go so many directions with this, arguably space marines might not be the best main character for a survival horror game. Their insane physique and modifications make it hard not to feel godly, which is out of place in a survival horror, but there are situations that can make a space marine look like a puppy, and I live for that stuff. It would be an interesting juxtaposition to the warhammer pixel game Boltgun, which makes you feel like doomslayer.
Give a [insert favorite loyalist chapter here] a strong reason to protect his own life in order to complete a mission/oath, take away his power and wound him, throw him into a BAD situation involving xenos, mutants, or chaos. I think that sounds like an epic survival horror setup.
