That was really clear and complete. I still use the old FT4 watch but has been giving me problems for a long time now. I wasn't sure if a new watch with the wrist sensors for heart rate was very accurate. Thank you for the advice and I will get a new watch and pair it to my chest strap when I work out.
I have used polar, fitbit and garmin. Took me a long time to cross over from polar to another brand but Garmin seems to have left polar in the dust. I still use several polar chest straps though and all work fine.
I have also loved and used polar for years. How often do you replace the H10 chest strap? Mine has become very inconsistent even with a brand new high quality battery. Heart rate will drop out 30 to 40 min into a workout. SO frustrating! My Unite and strap are about a year old
Hi Annie, I've been using Joel's systems since 2010 and I have a question, for years I've been using a Polar RS100 watch with chest strap. One of the best features about this watch was the ability to set lower and upper limits of a desired workout range - (ex. +5 and -5 bpm of your Anaerobic threshold) and if my hr got out of those parameters, the watch would beep, a quick reminder to pick it up, or slow down (classic example i would set it for 130-150 and easily got too intense on the bagwork and would hear the beep and remind me to slow down.) Does the Unite have this audible warning/feature?
Great video. Just got my Polar H10, QQ: What is the "Recovery score"? QQ: Would sleeping with the Polar H10 give accurate HRv? QQ: Will the device "learn" to adjust the Zones based on your performance?
I have a polar B1 watch with an A1 chest strap. Can I use another type of polar watch with the A1 chest strap? My B1 watch strap broke.. I keep it in my pocket when I run and pull it out when I want to monitor my HR. I know, not a great idea but I'm new to this HR monitor thing. I'm learning...lol.
Seems like the Unite is a poor watch if it cannot get good heart rate scores on its own. Why not get a watch that performs better like Apple or Pixel watch 2? They are very close to the chest strap.
Thanks so much! This video was exactly what I was looking for!
Glad it helped!!

Great plan! Hope it works out for you!
Excellent, thanks for this.
My pleasure!

I’ve never personally had to!
This is also happening with my new H10 chest strap.

Um that audible warning would be amazing and to my knowledge, no, it does not have that ability. But I could be wrong.
Great video.

Always!
Do you use a heart rate monitor? Polar, Garmin, Fitbit, or something else?

My B1 watch strap broke..

I'm learning...lol.
Bought the watch and strap together in one factory sealed package. Incase you wanted to know..
It's a simple one, only shows HR.
Nothing fancy at all
I have both the devices but I didn't understand if the watch receives the hearth rate of polar h10
Sure does!

I am not familiar with any wrist warn device that is nearly as accurate as a chest strap.
A suggestioncan the "pops," they are so distracting I never finished your presentation.
I thank you for your engagement and helping the algorithm 🤌🏼
