A friend of mine had an old Glasstron-Carlson CVX 20 jet boat with a big block Ford 460 in it. It wasn't the beast this thing is, but man, that thing could move! Interesting story, he traded it for a early 90s Toyota mini truck on bags with custom 4 link rear and modified frame. The suspension could be run on air or compressed nitrogen. It was supposedly built by Finnegan himself.

Can't believe my 462 Olds with 9.9:1 comp and a single carb went 80.5 (gps) with an AA impeller in a Berkeley jet. The hull was a 1973 wrighdt stinger 17.5ft. Sold it to a friend who took 5 years to restore it, drove it twice then lost it in a huge garage fire. RIP old jet boat. Also sold my polished tunnel ram for Olds 455 to same friend who installed it...and poor intake even melted in the fire

Sometimes I just can't wonder how ... well simple UA-camrs are. Why would one start to drill stuff at the boat ramp? Why them do not turn the trailer upside down? Why them do not drill the holes in concrete or asphalt or anywhere else than a sandy boat ramp where ppls are guaranteed to go bare foot. I really do hope that they cleaned those metal shavings, but I really doubt as there's dozens of them little shavings. Really not one of the Finnegans brightest moment out there, especially as hes somewhat experienced boat guy - not some YT fame kiddo in their early 20s.

75 mph is a respectable speed on the water. I had a sanger v drive flat bottom that wood just touch 100 on real good water. Never got to try a jet boat as of yet. But hope to at some point. Good luck with the renegade
Use a 2x4 a few feet long and a block to make a lever to push up on the drill. While laying down, use your leg to push down on the end of the 2x4 while your hands hold the drill. Makes that job 100x easier. BTW, add bell mouth intakes to Game Over's turbos! Nothing on the intakes is costing you flow.
Tunnel ram is badass but to increase the badassness a roots blower on top of the tunnel ram like frieburger did on engine masters would be epic on the rodagade would be epic...!

Thats why your drag boat is proposing and that's why it's pulling air and that's why it's caveating..... The nozzle, you need to get her bow down a little, either pull it out of the water an inch or point it down a micron once she hits 40 or 50, may be able to get away with shifting some weight forward, either way, with those speeds, the adjustments to get her bow down are minutia
@MesaB Australia mainly uses meth for burnout cars because of the cooling. They still drop the compression ratio when installing a power adder in order to have a larger combustion chamber after the compression stroke because it allows you to force more air and fuel in and make more power without detonating.
I have a stock merc 350 / 300 hp inboard outboard in a 17 ft four winns boat it does 60 stock you should be doing faster than 74 with all that horse power. I have had a v drive as well they are fun and loud enjoy bud

mike and dave are professional enough that im sure they swept up as good as they could there. they might be goobers on screen, but they do things correctly when it comes to safety most of the time

I kicked some rods out of an early Kachina hull with a 455 Olds. It sank in about 25' of water.
Bummer, it only takes 2 feet of water to sink a boat like that. Now if you fix it you can name it kachinga like the sound of money.

Have you guys ever tried a steel river boat race nozzle? You'll gain a few mph but no reverse . It's not hard to also rig up a trim/deflecter.

Fire out the exhaust is called "Afterfire." It is not harmful like "Backfire" it is just too rich and maybe late timing.
Yep but almost no one uses the correct term after fire and they don't know what an actual back fire is.
When drilling metal upside down, Put a paper cup around the drill bit to catch the hot shavings! Ask me how I know. LoL
