- As the temperatures soar and the wild rivers call, the best thing is to leave it all behind, and what better way to get some headspace than hitting the road, destination; the middle of nowhere. We are so excited to show off our vintage camper (1989 Citroen Pilote) that has been completely reupholstered top to toe in leather from Chanel (well that's the story anyway!), she's and oldie but a goodie, and now that we are intimately familiar with all her quirks, she is our home away from home, comfortably driving and sleeping our family of 5, after adding a custom double bunk bed (NEW!) There's just one problem, we can't drive her out! We call for back up to help, and then we're on the road, come along for the sunflowers as far as the eye can see.

My grandson is non-verbal Asperger’s Syndrome (Level 1 Autism) Now at 4 yrs old he’s starting to use some words which usually includes quite a few curse words. The other night he was walking through the den with his momma (my daughter) and he pointed at the toys all over the floor and said to his momma….

He said, No, big ass mess!

Y’all keep on being YOU. I tell my adult kids often…Life is about the journey not the destination. We all end up at the same destination one day, so enjoy the journey, find the fun and the funny in whatever situation you face.

Hi Kathy 👋 Sorry to hear about your MS, but yes do show hubby the video and absolutely get a van! It's such fun, and the rivers are amaaazing. We have an app that shows us all the good wild swimming spots in France, then we find the closest place to park up for the night ❤️ It's like magic. It was wonderful having Bastien and Marion round to help, we had so many laughs together and the hedge was free so much quicker than we expected. Would definitely recommend the RainPoint - it was a breeze to set up and has worked perfectly 🍓🍓 See you next time! 🥰
@@growinginfrance Oh I’d love an App like that. Get me close enough to Any water and I’m in it! I feel so free in it and can swim, sort of😅, for hours! I live near the Atlantic Ocean but I can’t swim in it anymore but any river or stream, Yes!

Coco is a gentle giant, love her! Your veggie garden is looking lush but I noticed a couple of yellow tips on your tomato plant’s leaves. I would remove those leaves as it could be blight. I am in the Vienne and already have had signs of tomato blight such as yellow and black spots. My plants are holding up well but I check every day and remove dodgy leaves to make sure the plants stay well for as long as possible. I got a nice tomato haul today. 😊
Well done! Not much better than a good haul of tomatoes 🍅 cheers for the tip, we’ll be all over them 👍 we had some rough luck a couple of summers back and all but one plant got wiped out, won’t let that happen again!

Only just found out about your videos just as we are about to leave the Charente after 10 years and returning to NZ. We will however be buying a camper when we get there and have a different adventure, its great that you are having both and your latest podcast has inspired us to rent a camper when we next visit France! Did you know that in Charme a village not far from us (north of Angouleme) the yearly village fete is a Hangi and the next one is on Saturday the 10th, you should come if you can, its always great fun and the French love it. Looking forward to your next video ☺

Yes the whole place is ours 😅 the big house is our long term renovation project once we’ve done some practice on the long house - there’s a full tour of it on the channel if you want to look inside 😉
