GUILDS OF RAVNICA LORE:
As the schemes and plots begin on Ravnica with our return in Guilds of Ravnica, there is one guild at the center of them all. House Dimir. The Dimir pride themselves on their secrets; being a band of assassins, bandits, and schemers themselves. They are lead by their mysterious guildleader, Lazav, the Multifarious. In this video youll learn about the guilds history along with the potential role Lazav could play on Ravnica.

I really like this take on Lazav. I love that the Dimir is one of the 5 guilds not aligned with Bolas because Lazav would rather control Ravnica himself than be loyal to an outsider. He makes for a really cool antihero, and I can't wait for the 3rd Ravnica set.
It looks like Dimir, Rakdos and possibly Izzet are going to fight against Nicol Bolas which I think is pretty cool as they, all together, make up the colors of Grixis.

The new lore posted on the mothership about Lazav lends credence to the idea that s/he is indeed a hero of Ravnica...especially since, given that s/he's not a planeswalker, s/he's definitely not on Bolas's side (WotC has claimed that the Bolas-aligned guilds will feature planeswalkers, and the others won't)
I don't side with Bolas, because he is not very cash money. Meanwhile I and the rest of the guild that definitely doesn't exist so you shouldn't look for us, are very cash money folks.

Speaking of the Dimir, I would like to see the return of Ashiok, it would be a trip if Lazav was actually Ashiok in disguise, seeing as how Lazav is a shapeshifter.
Well if Nicol Bolas had succeeded, he would have crushed Ravnica under his iron fist, leaving the Dimir with nothing. It was of course in Lazav's(our) best interest to safeguard the city that they call home. So long as Lazav pulls the strings from the shadows, Ravnica will be a safer place.

You forgot to mention the secret lair of dimir durnova building which I know exist because on the dimir horror creature card it has a quote which welcomes you into the building

well are you really surprised that lazav would be against someone stirring up trouble in ravnica? because if something bad happens their entire line of work could be thrown out of balance.
