The "prizes" my job gives me are yearly raises, 401k contribution, generous paid time off, full benefits, but idk I have to work 40 hrs a week and I've never gotten a keychain so now I'm jealous :(
Good point. And no mention whatsoever about actual customers. Any real business owner, their business revolves around their customers. That literally IS the business usually.

MLM babes when they want people to join: you get to make your own hours and work from home! It’s so easy to make money doing what I do. No other job lets you work when you want
Alex Hamame it’s really frustration how their messaging is never consistent and contradictory, which is to say that they’re actually just manipulative. They lure you in with “it’s so easy” and then once you’re in “you have to work REALLY hard and put in hours”
And they like to sit by the pool of the top seller and write posts on social media about how you can do that too. All of these women have husbands who make a pretty decent amount of money.
Long story short: I started an online business a few months ago, selling whole stock clothes and accessories that are handmade. an MLM girl had the audacity to message me on Facebook (of course) and tell me that my business was easy compared to hers (monat) she told me that she is also a business owner and works closely with the CEO. THIS MADE ME SOOOO MAD. anyone who has started their own actual business knows how difficult and confusing the process is. you have to register to the state, apply for licenses, constantly work on being creative, developing you website etc. I love you video and PLEASE keep informing the world of how terrible these MLM's are.
Dana Buglak Working on my online business that sells digital products is complicated enough! I can’t even imagine all the shit that comes along with selling physical products!
As a personal trainer that ACTUALLY works at a gym, and has spent blood sweat tears and $$ on being knowledgeable and certified, this mlm gets under my skin soooooo much more than the others.
What about my old PT who is qualified and has joined a MLM.....promoting shakes - skipping meals....I love her but this is so far removed from what she used to preach to her clients. Now she is trying to get us in. I love her but it’s a No
I love the videos of actual PTs reacting to beechbody vids it’s hilarious how bad these exercises are....not only technique but also how bad the “exercises “ are for your body
I can understand. When I got certified as a CPT, an acquaintance of mine asked if it was through Beachbody. Ummm, no. I studied and studied to get that cert. I didn’t even know BB had an MLM at the time.
Don't let it bother you. I was a trainer in college so I get it, but keep in mind, these girls are broke, depressed and miserable. The lifestyle they portray is either fake, sponsored by their husband, or they're at their parent's house. More than 99% of em didn't make a penny and are no longer working for the company. Plus, it's the company and the scheme, I almost consider these girls victims TBH. They're probably good people who had good intentions, and they got brainwashed and caught up in a pyramid scheme.
I'm wanting to become a nurse. Just curious is the nursing application that you are trying to finish, is it for going into college, or are you coming out of college? Just trying to learn about the process 😊
What breaks my heart is she "has to" do another call on a school night... Literally help your child with their homework or read them a story..watch a movie with them... She's literally glued to her phone or laptop all day and its sad
I’ve seen so many people get hyped when an up line or corporate sends them the most basic, ridiculous gifts. Like... no ones jealous you got a keychain with itworks embroidered on it, Barbara.
Yeah but check out that travel mug with ItWorks in big bold letters on the side. You gotta get to TripleDiamondPlatinum to earn that one! Seriously, this reminds me of those "prizes" I used to try to "win" by selling Burpee seeds door to door back in the 70s.
I'm pausing the video to quickly comment that the only time in my life I was ever excited to receive a pencil for working so hard was when I was in elementary school and I got an A on all of my tests that month.
She said they were top earners in the company. Which means she had to do all the hard work in the first few years. So when she started ya they were probably reliant on his income, but top earners in MLMs make 6figures monthly.
Steve Botham I’m sorry I’m really not trying to judge her just based on her house but there’s no way she makes 6 figures a month living in that house lol. Mayyyybbee 6 figures a year but she likely has a partner who makes the majority of the money.
Yep. The one BeachBody coach I know left her corporate job and brags about it constantly. What she doesn't tell people is that she was able to leave her job because of her husband's income at his job. She never "needed" to work because of his job, but has a TON of student loan debt which, to my knowledge, isn't paid off from her awesome income as a "coach."
You are so absolutely right. I live in Southern California and I’m an actual business owner. I’ve attended many business networking groups filled to the brim with MLM reps. There’s 2 types: (1) Broke and trying to make money with ANY MLM and they often jump from company to company and (2) Rich housewives.
Steve Botham even if they were allowed to make income claims like that, which they’re not, I’d love to see paystubs and bank statements to back that up
The statistic that sticks with me is that 80% of the MLM people who are making $100K or more are women. Boiled down that means that women are exploiting and preying on other women. That is disappointing and sad to find out.
@@t.k.3895 "boss babe" "boss lady" "girl boss" its so overdone lol. God forbid anyone has a 9-5 "corporate" job to these people. "YOUR TIME IS NOW. when will you start living purposefully?" and it makes all these women feel awful about their probably already fulfilling lives as it is.
If you think about, they’re smart about it, because they play on the “flexibility and ability to work from home” to women who probably have children. If it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably MLM.
One reason that a lot of women I know don't like me is because I refused to join their shitty MLM - Mary Kay, Tupperware, BeachBody, Pampered Chef, to name a few.
That is wrong! We Are Giving a huuuuuuge benefit to our friends by offering them the BEST products for their wellbeing and buy offering the Chance to escape from the Traditional trap and to live the best possible Life
It's strange to me that hunbots are quick to rag on traditional corporate jobs because they perceive that the people at the top are paid an excessive amount for minimal labor while those at the bottom are not compensated fairly for their labor, and yet this inequality is even greater within an MLM.
Say what you will about Marx, but I have to admit that he was spot on in terms of his analysis of capitalism. If he saw this, he would probably say that this is a prime example of what he was addressing.
A Cameron must really have no idea what they are talking about, they just repeat what another idiot keeps pounding in their head. I notice I don't see ppl or very many quitting actual jobs to do this crap its mostly bored sahm and ppl who have never really had a job ,so I'm sure to some this sounds amazing. Esp when they're higher ups lie to them about the potential income. Yet still idk how this makes any sense to anyone. You know since we have things like Google lol
@@rissadawn2047 Sorry, may I please ask for some clarification? Are you implying that I don't know what I am talking about or that the hunbots don't? The structure of your statement is a little confusing. TIA
My reward for working for thirty five years at a nine to five job is retirement ;traveling, shopping, sight seeing, writing ,watching UA-cam all day if I want but I feel cheated...I want a one dollar key chain. Also, I wonder what happens to these people do when they have to go out and get a real job. All the time they've wasted doesn't look good on a resume.
My company always give free stuff......normal related to safety rewards. Some are ok, others I give away or the bin. I go to work for a decent salary..........not rubbish. ;-]
That's very true. When mother was going back to work, explaining all the time she spent as a homemaker was always the first question in an interview. "So I see here you didn't work for...twenty five years?" But imo that's more valid than pyramid schemes
Yo I dunno if it's been commented yet, but not only is she sending out pencils, but she's one or two months BEHIND on sending out pencils. Like...wtf else are you doing?
As someone that's been a personal trainer for 20 years, it's infuriating to see the uneducated "coaches " trying to help people reach their goals. There is so much that needs to be considered when helping someone start their exercise and nutrition program. My day consisted of training clients one on one, not filming myself doing busy work. I never had to read a personal development book to care about my clients and give them a good service. I think personal development books can be great, but I didn't need one to learn how to care about my clients. I have spent years and thousands of dollars on my education and it make my blood boil to see the ignorant people that think they're qualified to help anyone.
@Linda Vernon I'm so sorry about your experience. It's crazy you say this because I just finished filming a video about the state of the fitness industry and how frustrated I am with it. I'm uploading it this weekend. Unfortunately there are many people in the fitness industry that have no business being there and should instead be working at the DMV or something. Hearing your experience infuriates me. To hear that you paid hard earned money for a lazy trainer that doesn't give a shit is so frustrating. Don't let it discourage you and don't give up working towards your goals. I have my contact information in the description of all my videos so please don't hesitate to contact me if there's anything I can do to help you reach your goals.
Charlene Ortiz Training I was just thinking that. They aren’t qualified to really help anyone, cause not one single program would work for every single person. That’s why you spend so much time & money on an education.
With that body you could be a coach. Do you have 200 in your piggy bank. Is your grandma still alive? Then what's your excuse. Be her coach !! Give her the body she deserves with 5 shakes a day and 4 other organic powders and vitamins.
My son, age 16... just got hit with his first mlm scam attempt. He's describing to me what his friend was suggesting to him for a job... I drew that shit right on our kitchen chalkboard like that Office episode. Can you say pyramid kids? Ugh.. starting early.
@@davidgaskey2768 I do believe it was some type of supplement situation.. thankfully he never got past the "I've got something really exciting to share with you" stage. Gross.
Cringe alert The "cute boy" aka her doofus husband who is home at 3:30 in the afternoon dressed in shorts and flip flops learning a new cord on his guitar he bought from Esteban on TV
I mean, get what youre saying.. but that doofus is probably coming home from a overnight or super early starting JOB that is literally supporting this family- cause you know she’s not. Let the man play his damn guitar
Let’s be honest here. I’m an “ex-hun” the team calls were HOURS. In my coaching days I honestly never watched the whole thing. It’s ridiculous. I used to coach for Beachbody. I’m pretty sure my screen time hours on my iPhone were upwards of 6-8 hours a day trying to recruit. It was such a damper on my mental health. I was obsessed and thought something was wrong with me because no one would reply or want to join.
Not the add the nights of crying to my fiancé about how no one signs. What’s wrong with me? I need to order this and buy this because this is going to help me make money and be Elite. All while trying to be a mom to my 3 year old and 21 month old. I was wrecked. This is NOT how it is and I’m so glad you’re highlighting how skewed this all is. Targeting new moms who are already at an all time low. Saying you need to lose weight so join my team.
This reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend today about the "Positive Thinking" trend. It's equivalent to religion and prayer. If only you are good enough, think right and believe right you can have it all. If you fail it's your fault because those that "get it" have it all. I'm over all of it.
When I did Beachbody, they made you feel like the calls were business-altering and if you didn't make time for them, you didn't want to make money bad enough.
pjano476 I don't understand how being religious is unfortunate?? But it is unfortunate that he has even the smallest soft spot for MLM's. I understand it is very difficult to announce to the world that MLM's are evil when you know you might hurt your friendships and cause a huge backlash but if he's supposed to be leading people to financial success he has a responsibility to preach the truth about MLM'S.
Mandy Kelly I think the association with religion is how in some smaller church’s people have said their church gets sucked into MLMs and that they’re big with the Mormon church. While it’s not directly associated it can be unfortunately. I heard Dave talk about MLMs once and nearly every comment was a hate comment because he advised the person to look at the income disclosure statements and told them about the low chance of succeeding. They were saying that MLMs are legit and how could he give such horrible advice. He didn’t directly say they’re bad, he said something along the lines of “look into it and do what you think is best for you and your family” and that he knows people who have succeeded.
Love these so much. I just wanna say, you’ve truly changed me lol. I received a random phone call from a guy I like *sorta* knew four years ago in the military at legitimately 8 at night while I’m trying to get my daughter in bed. He said “long time no talk!” And I said “well there’s probably a reason.” Then he asked if I had enough money to not have to stay in the Marine Corps forever and started his pitch and I plainly told him I got out almost 3 years ago and that I wasn’t interested in his pyramid scheme and never to call me again. My husband was so proud and I thought you guys would be too. 😆
and laundry, dishes, maintain a livable space, etc!! crazy that the average hard-working citizen actually works just to hear these weirdos get online and say their two hours of emails and chicken nuggets was ‘so exhausting’ LMAOO
So I think they actually chose NOT busy days on purpose to make it look like you can be a stay at home mom and make an income without adding in a lot of extra effort.
Honestly, my heart weeps for the false enthusiasm some of these women feel pressured to force. It’s the MLM culture it seems to be either pushy, aggressive, bullying and saying “frickin’!” every two seconds - how old are we? Or their personalities are super docile and unreasonably “amped/jazzed/pumped” for every insignificant thing. Hard to watch.
Was Kiki (Kylie) anyone else’s favorite UA-camr before she started doing anti-MLM videos and now that she does them too she’s like your ultimate favorite UA-camr and no one could ever compete? Bc that’s me af.
i work a 8-5 job, monday-thursday and i love it, we get paid to go to the meetings during lunch, and our lunch is paid for!! i can’t imagine sitting there for free lmaoo
"speaking to a customr who is about to start her adventure". There, she has said it: her "customers" are prospetive associates/sellers/member of the MLM. She doesn't do any real selling.
I saw a Beachbody coach who is also my ex-girlfriend and she was at Panda and it was so funny as she said she was busy on her story a half hour before and now she at Panda
You my dear.... are an outstanding role model for young girls. I’m 28 now and wish I had you as a mentor during adolescence. You’re so classy and articulate but also non judgemental and fair. I love your work
Your channel and these MLM videos are awesome. I used to see all these “huns” on Facebook talking about how they spent all this time with their kids and how they couldn’t imagine leaving their kids with someone while they worked... and it really made me feel guilty for being a working mom! But now I realize... I’m the lucky one! I have a stable job with benefits and paid time off and extended maternity leave. And- bonus! My kids aren’t going to have memories of me ignoring them and harassing and recruiting people I went to high school with.
many kudos to you! I cannot fathom getting done all that you have to do, but I see several in my circle do it well. They do admit that on social media they are frequently giving the pretty part. Every once in a while they draw the curtain back on some of their "fails". : ) I am single with no kids and work a "normal" job but i struggle to get anything done outside of work. There is no way I would be able to take care of anyone else.
Your channel has really taught me to THINK. My heart just breaks for so many people who are apart of mlms. If we as people would really start to think, then their wouldn't be so many people getting caught into the mlm trap
When I was young and naive enough to join a couple MLMs I always lost money, pissed off friends and family and just plain felt bad about myself in the end! I live in the south and these MLMs are every where here and are so annoying!!! I wish we had more anti MLM culture here in rural America seriously!
That could have been my story, I got contacted last week and rushed there, luckily I had some time to investigate over the weekend and I m gonna expose them right in front of the group of other "newcommers" that were hired around the same time as me Anyway if anyone reads this some months from now, said MLM complany is called Geninc and is part of appco group or Cobra group
@@ArtLenLa epic fail, they didnt let me expose them in front of the other candidates, they had me resignate in an isolated office the second they understood -.-
I feel like they were trying to come off like “oh I get to work whenever I want, it’s so easy, just a couple hours a day, you should join because you don’t have to work!” But really it came off lazy and unproductive
The second lady made me feel sad. She swears she’s doing the most with her life 😭 they need to stop targeting these stay at home moms... well anyone really SMH
MLM Scammer: Your 9-5 job is the real scam. Me: At least with my 9-5, I get guaranteed pay, paid time off, and good benefits. I bet you don't get that with your MLM. MLM Scammer: *surprised Pikachu face*
I grew up in Yugoslavia where the work day was about 12-8 hrs. I work for a landscape company and someone tired to get me into Cutco and I was like yea no thanks at least I get two paychecks in two weeks and health benefits so yea
I find it funny that the second girl is reading a Dave Ramsey book and Dave is very much against debt. I wonder if she passes on the debt knowledge to her downlines
Amber Bayer spot the hun 🤪 Shakes in general are delicious and filling but I’m happy buying protein powder from my local grocery store rather than support the Hun Life.

I agree maryinsanfrancisco: I hate asking people for anything so I can't imagine pressuring friends and acquaintances to "join my team" and all those meetings and emails would drive me insane
"Getting ready for my workout" Cut "Just finished my workout"...ok lol Am I the only one who thinks it's all BS bc you know theyd show everything (or at least a clip) of what they do, instead of cutting it out. "Fake it til you make it" at its finest
I have a client (who I can’t stand) who sells R&F who told me that she “only had to work 1 day last month because of all of the residual income.” Such bs.
Well said girl. I was suckered into an MLM years ago and I’m glad I stopped doing that. I just get annoyed when they call it their “business” whenever they don’t pay their own taxes. That’s not your own business....
@Lesdoigtsgentils I mean I doubt she's adding it for the nutrition. I'm pretty sure it's just product placement or because someone in her up line said she needed to add it. Maybe both.
I’ve been in the business for 3 months , did one team call and it was a wrap for me I REFUSE to sit on these calls and group chats with these culty fake women
This is how I felt with Avon. I got suckered into joining, bought the booklets and samples, bags, and from the advice of my rep bought some items so I could have them on hand when orders were placed etc. I had tried for a month going hard promoting it locally and not one single email, phone call, etc. I felt like the biggest failure. When I explained it to my rep she said I didnt want it enough and that she has hundreds of sales so.... I dont know if avon can be considered a mlm. Years later now I'm starting my own business and now I find my fear to start it stems from that. Sale companies like mlm's or other sale companies that set you up to fail really do effect other more than monetarily. Thank you for making these videos!
emilia girl I am with Avon now!.. I wish she would do a mlm Avon video.. I really want to know the deetz with it like she finds with everything else In her anti videos!
Avon With Brandy I don’t have any info about Avon being an mlm but I remember as a child my mom having her monthly or so appointment with the Avon Lady. I think she got most of her makeup from her for years. I actually have fond memories of the appointments where I got some of those little samples or got to try things with my mom. I think the meetings were half neighborhood gossip and I had the impression she was the rep for our neighborhood.
Speaking of “what huns do for “work” ...One of the ppl on my FB friends list sells essential oils and just shared a cringey post written by an mlm hun encouraging friends to buy from friends...to support them bc if they had a salon you would go there, if they owned a restaurant blah blah blah....except they were talking about friends who did network marketing and included a long list of network marketing companies to “support.” Ugh! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ so awful to guilt people into getting involved in these companies and disguising it as being a good friend!! I screenshoted the post if you want to see...
Those 'gifts.' Looked like items from Wish 😂 If you're making money off of these people, at least get them a damn candle when you're out at IKEA and Target.
I was talked into one of these companies which I loved the products but when the training was about reaching out to people I don’t know or aren’t that close to i realized that’s exactly what happened to me. I felt awful bugging people; I just wanted to sell the products but that wasn’t good enough. MLMs suck and I LOVE your videos!!
Ex BB Coach here too. I can relate to this post so much! Every time the "coach" reaches out to their other " coaches" it not to ask if they need anything, its to see if you were able to recruit and to see if you were posting everyday on every social media site and to see if you were commenting on EVERY post they or a fellow coach made. NOT WORTH IT!! never again. My anxiety was sky high when doing bb.
I was suckered into buying Herbalife from my cousin’s wife after she had lost a ton of weight, crediting Herbalife for it all. I never lost a single pound. After cousin and said wife split, he came to me saying how she lost the weight was she basically starved herself because of the pressure her up line was putting on her. The shakes weren’t working, and they all knew it, so she would eat a max of 400-500 calories a day.
I also love how they both conveniently left out the HOURS typically spent sending cold messages and follow ups. They’re grossly over simplifying the business. Beachbody coaches go out of their way to make their days look soooo much easier than it really is.
THIS IS WHY I NEVER FELT SUPPORTED WHEN I AGREED TO JOIN THIS BS. I never became a coach but I felt pressured to join a challenge group and “change my lifestyle.” I felt pressure to be perfect and hit every workout and meal. Every time I would reach out for guidance I got some BS “you’re doing a great job.” Like okay thanks for listening and actually helping guide me on my journey [sarcasm]. They don’t do shit. They ding around all day and don’t practice what they preach (chipotle burrito and a shake is all she ate?). SCAMMERS! Must be nice to make money while doing nothing all day. Kiki, you’re the best girl! I love your videos. Expose these huns! 🙌🏼
I mean it honestly just looks like faking busy .. I would be so mad if I was just huffing & puffing around my house all day pretending to be working so hard validating my work “mlm” just to not make any money lol
I actually DID have a supervisor once who would do ish like that (not in an MLM) and she got away with it for a while (also putting personal purchases on her company purchasing card)... but eventually HER boss got wise and ... well... she doesn't work there anymore.
Well said. As a former BB coach who worked my butt off for years and never advanced... while tip coaches reaped the benefits of my work, you’re right, it wasn’t fair. Thanks!

I'm pausing the video to quickly comment that the only time in my life I was ever excited to receive a pencil for working so hard was when I was in elementary school and I got an A on all of my tests that month.
Im jealous! Lol
Or when they'd give us the peppermint scented newspaper pencils during standardized testing. Those were the BEST.
For real! As an adult, cash rewards or all expense paid activities are all I ever need. Keep all that other crap!

Their lifestyle are so unrealistic. They are only can live this life they have either husband or partners who make enough income for the family.
Steve Botham even if they were allowed to make income claims like that, which they’re not, I’d love to see paystubs and bank statements to back that up
I would be offended if my manager gave me some of that crap as recogniton. Looks like small gifts you give away in gift bags for kids parties...

The statistic that sticks with me is that 80% of the MLM people who are making $100K or more are women. Boiled down that means that women are exploiting and preying on other women. That is disappointing and sad to find out.

They look down on corporate jobs but are also like "look at me! I've got a conference call with corporate!"

My reward for working for thirty five years at a nine to five job is retirement ;traveling, shopping, sight seeing, writing ,watching UA-cam all day if I want but I feel cheated...I want a one dollar key chain.

Charlene Ortiz Training ain't that the DAMN truth!!!!!!!
Charlene Ortiz Training I was just thinking that. They aren’t qualified to really help anyone, cause not one single program would work for every single person. That’s why you spend so much time & money on an education.

I was obsessed and thought something was wrong with me because no one would reply or want to join.
omg!
The beachbody people are flooded in Instagram. I would have 30 friend requests a month from beachbody people
Glad you got out of that crap girl!
OMG SHE’S READING DAVE RAMSEY AND STILL THINKS AN MLM IS A GOOD IDEA!!?? I wish he could be tagged.
He’s not terribly anti-MLM. His friends are at the top of a few of them and he’s also very religious.
pjano476 I don't understand how being religious is unfortunate?? But it is unfortunate that he has even the smallest soft spot for MLM's. I understand it is very difficult to announce to the world that MLM's are evil when you know you might hurt your friendships and cause a huge backlash but if he's supposed to be leading people to financial success he has a responsibility to preach the truth about MLM'S.
I don't understand why religion has anything to do with it besides the fact that these people like to prey on Christian SAHM'S a lot.
MLMs are very common in churches. Especially the Mormon church.

I was suckered into buying Herbalife from my cousin’s wife after she had lost a ton of weight, crediting Herbalife for it all. I never lost a single pound. Well said. As a former BB coach who worked my butt off for years and never advanced... while tip coaches reaped the benefits of my work, you’re right, it wasn’t fair. Thanks!
