This is exactly why I blocked every beach body coach on my Instagram. I had one notice that some of my posts were about infertility (struggle bus for 3 years now) and try to connect with me because she had a miscarriage. I didn't realize she was coach so I opened up to her. She spent weeks building a friendship with me, then sprung her coaching on me. When I said no she never spoke to me again. It's heart breaking when you are struggling with something so isolating. It's disgusting.
I’m so sorry that’s so incredibly sociopathic of someone to formulate and follow through. I hope that experience hasn’t shut you off of connecting with people who truly want to connect.
I was furious when she said it pisses her off when moms use pregnancy as an excuse to quit. Ummmm maybe they see spending time with their family as a bigger priority than posting pictures of their shakes???
Yeah, for real. It's not an excuse, it's a personal and private choice that some people decide is best for their health, happiness and wellbeing and the health, happiness, wellbeing and safety of their child. Frick.
I know that’s like saying you don’t have a right as a new mother/ mother with newborn to maternity leave. Any other company I’ve worked for expects moms to take maternity leave...
Kristi Kinasz the society we live in now is anti family! Having abortions like there’s no tomorrow, feminists discouraging women from getting married and having a family and sometimes shaming women for doing so.. etc. it’s disgusting.
Kathryn Morgan Not very related but thought it was interesting to add. Here in Oregon there’s no law that requires companies to give you maternity leave. I’m sure if you work for a good company than they’ll let you, but I think it’s so crazy they don’t give woman that right to be with their newborn child especially after going through the pain of childbirth.
I would literally do anything to get pregnant. Struggling with unexplained infertility for 3 years. On my second cycle of meds and got my period today. To hear these women talk ab getting pregnant like taking a drink of water is sickening. I’d do just ab anything to be a mom and they view pregnancy as a scam booster. I can’t, I have no words
🙁 I wish I could offer you encouragement. The only thing I can tell you is try to surround yourself with positive people. Nothing is more annoying than when you’re trying to get pregnant and people comment really? “ I didn’t even try, my kids were all accidents. 🙄Surround yourself with people with some insight.
Gemini Girl thank you for kind words! Isn’t that the worst! Hearing ab everyone’s “accidents” now with what’s going on, all the meme’s ab “I bet a lot of babies will be born 9 months from now” ugh lol thanks for reaching out!
Sending you positive vibes and I will pray for you. People who actually plan pregnancy are great parents cause they are ready for the parenthood and they want children for the right reasons. Hope youll be blessed with the baby soon! 💓
Julia Paszek thank you for taking the time to type that out! Just a couple seconds to make a stranger smile. That’s what we need more of in this world. Thank you!
I understand bonding with people on social media through shared experiences but omg using these things as sales strategies is so twisted. A lot of people in these situations are already stressed and probably strapped for cash, and you’re trying to get them to invest money, time, and energy they might not have... to join your damn MLM that likely won’t make them any money back. Sickening!
Kiki you should upload a video and talk about the Watts Family Murders and the link to Shan'ann Watt's involvement with a MLM company. I'd love to hear your opinion on that case.
Alyssa Blackford I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing this. It’s everywhere, youtubers all over are reaching plateau with their original content(as to how they started) and next thing you know, they’re announcing pregnancy... and boom!
Yeah, like the only good example I can think of for a family vlogging channel is Funnel Vision (haven’t checked them in a while though) they let the daughter quit filming as she grew older and kept it up with the rest of their kids with the ‘if they wanna quit, so be it’ attitude
Alyssa Blackford yep. It’s so exploitative. In Hollywood their are labour laws protecting child actors and it’s all closely monitored, UA-cam kids have no such rights and it’s a total free for all.
Story time: I am a military wife and when we first moved overseas, I was checking out the local fb group form the base. I saw a post that said something along the lines of “if you like fitness, if you like helping people, if you want to earn an income but want to work for home. Send me a message” being so lonely and stucked in TLF with my baby, away from home in a new country, I was so excited, it sounded so perfect for me. She comes over and pitches the whole beach body BS. I was pretty young at the time but had a vague idea of what pyramid schemes were. I remember telling her that it sounded like one and she was all like “no, we have teams, these are the legs of the teams blah blah” and dude, she literally drew a damn pyramid when she was explaining the model lol. I told her I had no friends or knew a single soul to recruit, I had just moved there the previous week (sh*t I was barely recovered from jet lag) and was still living in a hotel! She kept messaging for weeks and since she was a Zumba instructor and very popular she has so many victims on her team. When I remember that I feel embarrassed for almost falling for it, but at the same time I’m proud of myself for rejecting her cult even though I was very vulnerable at the time
As a milspouse who was stationed overseas, I totally get this. And my spouse was deployed most of the year leaving me as prey for MLMers. Everyone had one. EVERYONE. No one had a real job and just did each other's MLMs. Praise the good Lord that I found a real job (almost unheard of where I was so it really is a miracle). I used it as an excuse not to go to MLM parties. ;)
@@Frankienebula007 oh yes and those parties are the worse! You think you're going to an actual party to socialize and meet knew people but oh surprise! I had the misfortune of going to 3 (lemongrass, Scentsy and pure romance). Then I found a real job as well and it was also my excuse 😂
“Being pregnant is not an excuse to take a step back”???? That is an appalling thing to tell anyone. Not every mother has a smooth pregnancy in fact some women get sick enough to be hospitalised.
Especially when this is a “fitness” MLM. Some pregnant women can’t workout while pregnant. Or maybe they don’t want to drink these “shakes” while pregnant.
Yep. I’m currently suffering from severe morning sickness. Let me tell you taking a step back isn’t even a choice, it’s a part of survival. So disgraceful to even say that. Ugh.
Not the 1-2%'s problem. This is a whole new level of low... WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF PREGNANCIES WERE FAKED, DITTO FOR MISCARRIAGES, AND VERY HIGHER UPS MAYBE EVEN BABY/CHILD ACTORS. Whatever works, right? Shudder!
KrackShotz lol I know right. Could you imagine having children for content, and then failing like the majority of people do with mlm’s? Not only are you out whatever you spent getting in, but now you have an expensive 18 year commitment...🤦♀️
Using a miscarriage as a business opportunity, then to say “crying over nothing” made me sick to my stomach. As a woman who’s lost a child, this is the kind of person/people I cannot surround myself with and I’ll also say that when you lose a child you will never, ever use that grief for business purposes. I don’t believe this woman ever had a miscarriage, I believe she’s manipulating her audience and it’s quite evil.
Maria I agree! The way she spoke about it so freely & carelessly without a tinge of emotion, just her fake personality, made me absolutely sick. That woman is a monster preying on the vulnerable.
As a women who has lost 4 pregnancies between 6-13 weeks I believe she was lying about miscarrying too. It doesn’t just roll off the tongue like that. It’s also not something most of us want to bond over because it’s super painful to talk about when it’s fresh and raw.
@@seadragon1456 agree I had one miscarriage... and I have literally never talked about it out loud til this moment but to sit there and say it’s a boost for your business 🤢 makes me sick
I miscarried at 6 weeks and I was devastated for years before I got pregnant, almost miscarried her and had nightmares every night my daughter would miscarry. Child loss isn't some chill thing to talk about. Mothers of angel babies are very vulnerable and people who prey on them are monsters.
Holy.... this is why I don’t trust people. As someone with recurrent miscarriages, I hate that broad. Don’t use my pain and struggle to make you a sale.
The worst part about it is that women trust these people! Like so many women just believe they are being honest and kind, when they are just using them. @happyhealthyhumble on Instagram has two babies in the nicu right now and posts about it all day and is literally recruiting people who relate to having babies in a critical care unit. And anybody who makes a comments on her posts pointing out how she has to work while her babies are in critical care, gets bullied off her page🙄
@@MakeupfoeverBarbie oh my goodness that's just awful. How can you use the fact that your children are in that situation to make yourself money? Like I don't think I could even pull myself together enough to even think about recruiting at a time like that.
Dude I’ve had two miscarriages and it’s heartbreaking and isolating and yeah, you do connect with total strangers over it because no one you personally know might have also gone through it
I’d LOVE to see a video of you going undercover in the dms of these “coaches “ just trolling ,asking shit questions, and playing dumb, it could be a good laugh 🤷🏼♀️😂
Huns: You work in corporate? Don't you wanna be there for your family? Also huns: As soon as you get pregnant, thats when you wanna focus on your job and nothing but the job!
@@easternflower6476 They're called Huns because they're notorious for using "Hey Hun!" when they message people they want to recruit for these triangle-shaped recruitment schemes that also sell products/services/lifestyles
When I was using Herbalife my coach said nows the time for you to become a coach after I announced I was finally able to get pregnant. She also then said “Herbalife helped your life so much that you were able to get healthy enough for a pregnancy! So many people will be moved by your story and want to join you!” Mind you I was doing Ivf and refused to use Herbalife as the cause of my pregnancy. I soon after stopped using Herbalife all together. It just made me feel dirty that she wanted me to lie or she asked if she could use me as a model in her stories! Like NO lady no!
I’m unfortunately surrounded by MLM (stay at home mom and military spouse) and I was excited that I got asked to go for a play date with someone that lives near where I do and knew my husbands family. Literally every invite or gathering after the initial one has been about her trying to get me to try her products or come support her “friends” in other MLMs. Bbygrl I am half way through a masters program in M A R K E T I N G I know your game and I’m deeply offended that you had me drive FORTY FIVE MINUTES with my child (that’s a total ass in the car btw) just to try and sell me shit. I even tried to be nice and participate ONE TIME out of the 5 invites and I broke out from freaking Mary Kay And don’t get me started on these damn Huns in the cloth diapering community telling me to use essential oils on my 4 month old. Kicks rocks Kathy and stop trying to hurt my child with your unfounded EO advice.
Omg yes!! Gets to a point where you have to throw kindness out the window and give it to them straight! Play date? Sure. Coffee? I'm down. MLM? Get bent Karen! My child is more important than your Hocus Pocus snake oil garbage!
I stupidly allowed my Mary Kay selling bridesmaid do my makeup on my wedding date and I broke out so badly from the makeup. Not just one or two, but my whole entire face, and it was those painful big pimples. I spent my honeymoon in pain, my face felt like it was on fire. I have zero pictures of myself because I refused to be photographed. Never again would I let someone put that crap on my face.
Sew joyful he’s either sleeping or screaming 😂 there is no in between. The thing is he always has a screaming session... he does not always have a sleeping session each ride.
I 100% agree!!! The family channels make money off of the kids existence. I couldn't imagine depending on my infant and toddler kids to pay my bills. These kids can't consent and their parents completely exploit them. It's like the parents want to get paid for "existing" and "being normal." It's interesting to note that many celebrities let their kids live normal, private lives because they know all the negative effects of being famous. I definitely recommend watching Tiffany Ferg. She has a couple videos discussing the issues with family vlogging.
The women who reach high levels aren’t hard workers, they are smooth talkers. They are articulate, speak with confidence, and can spew the BS seamless with that fake hype. They aren’t hard workers (as your day in the lives videos have shown), they just sell the con with such an air of confidence and so articulately they can rope people in. They know the products are bs and the people the they signing up will most likely fail. They just are smooth talkers point blank period. People jump into these thinking they can sell this product they have been told is great In “pockets of time” and if they just work hard, they will succeed. The only people that succeed in these are people with that used car salesmen (no offense to used car salesmen) mentality/ personality/ way ab them, knowing they just need to put on a show and sell these puppets a dream. Edit: spelling & summery: unless you are incredibly articulate, can spew bs effortlessly and sound confident and in charge while doing so, all the while knowingly ruining people’s lives, and that’s all this “business” is about, then you will fail at an mlm they all have AN IDENTICAL personality. If you can pull that personality off and have no moral compass mlm’s are for you!
Legit my partner has a background in sales and he's always calling them on their crap tactics because he's seen it, he's done it and he came out the other side recognizing how toxic and manipulative it can be.
I had a miscarriage a long long time ago and is something I still find hard to remember, it's just so triggering that these people are monetizing something so personal 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I mean it was difficult for me to even write this post, but this is beyond inappropriate 😤
Oh you're a mom? Super awesome. Wanna join my team? 😎 Just sign up all your mom friends too and send me money. You'll do AMAZING. I can tell you're super special and your son is soooo cute! Ooops I meant daughter. Or what is it? I totally forgot. Super bizzy runnin my bizz and dont have time to care. What's your name again? Did you sign up 20 more ppl yet?
This is literally what youtubers do to keep their audience growing when they are not mature enough or ready to have children. STOP HAVING KIDS TO JUST USE THEM AS ACCESSORIES.
As someone who experienced a miscarriage with our first child, anyone can exploit something so heartbreaking is psychotic. MLMs are a breeding ground from some very horrible people!
Imagine being a child of one of these women and finding out your mom thinks this way about you. ☹️ That would seriously mess a child up. I can’t imagine wanting to use my daughter as a pawn. Parenting should not be selfish. Thank you so much for calling this out!!! 💕
Can you do a video on the tatics of male dominated mlm's. I'd love to see the difference between on how men suck in people vs how women do. It seems women pull on emotions and kindness. I love these videos. I also want to tell you that you do a fantastic job on the quality of videos. They are well researched.
A friend of mine is in a male version of a mlm. Forex stock trading and is selling his own "training course" he is 18/19 and has no business training. He owns three "buisnesses" and posts lots of motivational self made posts about being rich and successful.
I briefly dated a man who called himself an entrepreneur who posted inspirational videos and talked about growth mindsets. Said he was going to soon be making 6 figures. He said I was wasting my time by being in college for respiratory therapy because I wasn't going into business for myself. Called me a failure. Come to find out he worked for Amway.
Katie Mitoraj lol this is literally what I thought at first. I’ve been watching videos on cults and unfortunately that’s actually how some religious cults get their numbers :/
@@DiMagnolia That's so backwards to me. I hope you are doing well. MLMs are often said to be associated with the Mormon Church. How true is that in your experience?
It’s so manipulating to say “pregnancy isn’t an excuse to step back”. I’m sure some women are stressed and overwhelmed and could benefit from a step back during their pregnancy for their and their baby’s health. But these coaches don’t care about anyone’s wellbeing
Chilling when she said "it drives me *crazy* when (women step back because pregnant).. I can't imagine that kind of pressure. This is seriously like slavery. What a model, suddenly you have no rights but then again these relationships are basically *SOCIAL* in nature, so not regulated. This is very bad. SO the hub is in Utah where they happen to encourage lots of children if I'm not mistaken. Psychotic running train in effect! Pray and speak up!
Considering extreme stress was one of factors that led to my sons premature birth, pregnancy is ABSOLUTELY an excuse to step back or GTFO of any situation
Using children and the loss of children as props/“boosts” for your business is dehumanizing and disgusting. It sickens me to think of how someone could think that’s okay.
The first thing I thought of when I heard this was the Facebook live videos of Shannann Watts announcing to her POS husband that she was pregnant with a boy. She definitely didn’t deserve to die but it sounded like she got pregnant to keep the marriage alive and the MLM proceeds going.
Unless your business is about how to grieve and some sort of support/therapy group... it’s so disgusting to turn the death of something precious to someone in a business setting like that’s so horrific
Aly Heumann haha it's only when we go somewhere and they ask if we're celebrating anything. When we answer "an engagement," they usually give us a free dessert, but this has only happened twice
No, do not underestimate them. The "leaders/upline/liars and crooks" would just encourage them (downlines/victims) to use infertility as a way to connect and make a sale to others experiencing infertility as well.
Also, they can then push that their weight loss is due to beach body! " SEE LOOK AT MY AMAZING RESULTS, AND YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!" What a load of CRAP!!!
So, I embarrassingly admit that I used to be a Beachbody "coach". Being a coach is a load of crap, but I honestly can say I finally had a four pack 6 months after my daughter was born and it was soley because I did the workouts and did the recommended eating plan. I felt great after it! I never exploited my child during this time since I'm pretty private person and I don't agree with the pyramid scheme or business model, but for me, the product and workout videos did wonders. I no longer do it and go to a pilates studio instead but I definitely was in the best shape ever. I don't recommend the product anymore even though I was in the best shape of my life because of the business model. I definitely was not as educated on the MLMs beforehand.
I’m actually doing the Beachbody workouts rn. I didn’t sign up under a coach, (apparently I do have one but we’ve never communicated) & I’m not buying their overpriced shakes/supplements because it’s crap. But just from the workouts and me changing my lifestyle I’ve lost 7 pounds
I'm so glad you're talking about this! I got roped into an MLM about 2 years ago (made it out alive, thankfully) and I suspected that getting pregnant/doing homebirths were used for recruiting. Love your content! Thank you for this.
I wish you did family vlogs or “influencers” on IG who think they’re Yoda and have all the answers in parenting, relationships, money, etc. Some (not all) use their kids as props and have more kids for views. It’s crazy!
Some people have no shame. Look at how many people have built a yt channel on their "pregnancy journey" and sponsor baby and kid products, sell out their family life for their channel.
I cannot imagine the toll that this is going to take on children’s mental health. It’s disgusting. How do these people have no shred of moral integrity? I don’t understand people who film their kids or plaster their photos all over the internet. No amount of money could make me do that to my kids.
I try to not watch stuff with kids in it (or even cute animal videos) because there is always that potential, even likelihood, of unhealthiness, exploitation.
I am experiencing this with a vlogger I actually really enjoy. She is trying to conceive, and every single video has been about it. I’m really happy for her. I just can’t help but feel she is exploiting it at this point. It makes me sad.
also the fact that people could dislike this video when all ur saying is a baby should have nothing to do with the success of a business whatsoever is beyond me. pls keep doing what ur doing.
I'm already dying at the intro 😂😂😂😂 your editing has just gotten better and better since I found your channel. You're so amazing, I'd love some longer deep dives into specific companies but thanks for doing the good work!
Yes! I agree! Your editing keeps getting better with every video! Please do more! Its been way too long since you've done an anti MLM video! Yours are my favorite!
I’ve nearly watched all your anti mlms videos and I’m obsessed! These people are just beyond help, keep exposing them and helping people recognise these freaks for what they are.
I stopped listening to my podcast as SOON as I got the notification for this! I HATE when women use their kids as pawns!!!! ETA: It's one thing to talk about your struggles with fertility and miscarriages because that's a very important topic that, I believe, deserves to be talked about more. To go and turn that around and use it for PROFIT is what's sickening. The only time that has any place being in business related stuff (IMO) is if that's what the business is about or if it's a business owner (MLM rep or legit entrepreneur) saying "I'm going through some very hard times right now due to ____ and will not be as active for :insert time frame:".
That part made my stomach actually turn. I can't even imagine opening up about something like that, only for that person to turn around and try to recruit you. I know it happens when someone's loved one has died, too. The essential oil huns come out from under the rocks to try to sell their "grieving potions". It's utterly disgusting that they specifically target people in vulnerable spots. It's literally no different than what cults do. 🤬
@@lunacouer omg i know. I'm honestly shocked that I didn't have a bunch of EO huns down my throat when my mom passed 7 years ago. Then again, there weren't as many false claims (that I was seeing) as there are now. I do love using certain oils but I don't use any that aren't safe around my pets and kids and I refuse to pay overpriced amounts for MLM stuff. I'll go with Plant Therapy and only get a few that I have had experience helping like peppermint on my temples and tea tree (that I don't diffuse because I know it's bad for pets) in coconut oil for bug bite relief and sprayed at the base of my kids' hair as a lice deterant
@@DancingSomnium this makes me thankful MLMs were not incredibly big when my mother was fighting cancer. Fortunately I did not talk about it on FB (my mother would have been horrified) or I'm sure a hun would've come out of somewhere. I did see a friend from college who lost her mother to cancer mention she wished they would have had Plexus back when her mother was taking chemo. OMG, that made me so sad for her.
@@joyfuljaj i can't even imagine. I have seen so many stories of huns preying on people who are recovering from addiction or just lost a loved one or other tragic experiences.
It’s not only in the multi level marketing world, as an influencer I’m sure you’ve heard from other influencers, and maybe not but I know I’ve heard the same thing when it comes to UA-cam content creators and people who do Instagram for a living, they say they’re having a baby boost their entire career. It’s sick
This is eight months old, but seriously every other day the trending page has at least two pregnancy videos and tons of views.i will never understand a) posting about your pregnancy to strangers and b) being nosey enough to want to know about a stranger's pregnancy
Disturbing!!! I am 4mths pregnant after coming to terms thinking I'd never have children and gave up trying. I would never use this beautiful gift from God to exploit others...sickening!
I know a lot of loving parents who cherish their children and they would be absolutely horrified to hear how these people view having babies as a "business builder". I also know people who are heartbroken over losing their babies and would find this tactic of targeting people in this way disgusting. Thank you, Kiki, for exposing MLMs and being the voice of reason--I feel that you truly care about people and don't want them exploited. 💜💜💜
Eighteen months later and I love this so much. I am so weirded out by the fact that people think that using pregnancy to make money by recruiting the baby is okay.
Girl from high school just had her 4th kid and she’s a beach body coach. All makes sense now. I wonder if she’ll finally realize after her 7th kid it won’t help her business.
the fact that they’re first of all, encouraging pregnant women to “work harder than ever” during a potentially precarious time in their life, and second, shaming moms and pregnant women for NOT working (working harder) during pregnancy and for “using pregnancy as an excuse” is soooo disgusting
Was coincidentally messaged by two BB coaches this week. I’ve never been messaged by BB before so I was actually taken aback when I got two messages in a row from two different coaches. I’m currently 6 months pregnant after losing my last baby girl at 5 months pregnant. They both basically said that she has plenty of pregnant mommas join her team. I didn’t respond but I wanted so badly to tell her that after losing a baby the last thing I care about is weight loss. I’m literally just hoping I make it through the pregnancy. It felt so slimy the way both of them approached pregnancy.
This is sick!! "Having that open dialogue" yeah so they can take advantage of people. 🤬 I'd like to tell you how much I appreciate how you look right into the camera. It makes me feel like you're talking to me. Even tho I know you're talking to everyone out in the web
Also, the MLM "coaches" who target women struggling with fertility by saying that doing Beachbody (or another MLM) was the one thing that finally helped them get pregnant. It's disgusting.
Having a miscarriage is one of the loneliest grief journeys anyone will ever go through. This made me sick to pit of my stomach thinking about someone taking advantage of me whilst I was in the most vulnerable and longest places of my lifetime. Keep doing what you’re doing KiKi 💥
A girl I went high school with has been a beach body coach since I think like 2015/2016 and I have actually wondered if her "job" motivated her to get pregnant quickly. This was after seeing almost constant (I'm talking AT LEAST once a day) posts mentioning pregnancy/postpartum/breastfeeding since the minute she announced her pregnancy. Her husband is also a coach and has been milking their daughter for the same kind of posts 🙄
O K there’s a local higher up coach couple here in my area too and she always posts about their huge brand new house, motherhood, living right by their school, working out all day, traveling with beachbody, etc. so frustrating that her life it benefitting solely on the backs of others misfortune.
This actually makes me so sick because I’ve been in 2 MLMs and you’re so right, it’s so sick. Every MLM is like this and if you don’t do it (id refuse to) they basically disown you and put you down, it is SO SICK and can literally ruin your life! I’m so happy I’m out of it
Not only is this horrifyingly disgusting but my god it’s no life to live when your parents don’t love you and never actually wanted you. When you’re just a tool for attention. I’m a grown adult and I am still so messed up because of that selfish bs.
How is the mascara bad? I love it...should I not be using it? I have tried and tried and tried to use false lashes and I fail every time...but the mascara works well for me...btw, I don’t sell it.
@@lcsharp5297 it's well known and documented that for the vast majority of ppl, it was a nightmare. It's way overpriced, dries out quickly. Presenters were told to say that if customers were having problems to tell them its "user error" then if it was dried up after 2 days that they need to add younique rose water to it (another wasted $30+) Tons of ppl complained about it, its known to make eyelashes look like "goopy spider legs" (not my wording lol). I could go on and on but look it up for yourself. Even just Covergirl mascara is a million times better.
I think this happens so much with social media focussed jobs. I have seen this with Family UA-camrs A LOT. Its really sad. And its really really sad that kids and traumatic events are being used as currency for attention and money.
Mel exactly my thoughts. those kids are going to be messes. i’m already grieving for the chronic loneliness that they’ll inevitably experience growing up and trying to find themselves.. i know it all too well. 😓🤮🙏🏻
It’s true. One of my Facebook friends started beach body coaching and I didn’t know until she posted her postpartum pics and I commented congratulations on losing the weight so quickly and instantly had dms about beach body after that I had to block her because every other day she was adding me to groups and dming me about the shakes and workouts.
Wow, I always knew they used their pregnancies/children to push these scams, but I didn't think they were ignorant enough to admit it.....on video! Smh Shameless, absolutely shameless. Edit: I love this look, Kylie! You look amazing, girl 💙
I’m NOT surprised that this happens. I’m a mother and it REALLY ticks me off that my exhusband’s girlfriend uses my kids for content (with captions claiming I abandoned them and she’s such “an amazing mom” to them) to lure people into her ItWorks scam.
Naaaaaaaa! That is disgusting! And to say u abandoned then?! U are a better woman than me cause I would knock her clean out of her shoes!! What a bitch!
I feel so incredibly sorry for you and your children that they have to witness such a bad role model. Wish your ex would at least talk some sense into her
I work in CS for a mlm company , I have for 5 years. One of the funniest things to me is when these people call in asking for proof of employment because they are trying to buy a house or buy a car or something. But... they are not an employee. We can’t give em shit.
I had a miscarriage with my husband and OMG I couldn’t think of anything worse then selling it to people or trying to get connections because of it. When it hurts you don’t want to talk about it and ffs you do not want to be like please come to my inbox and tell me how you can connect with me 😤
Just wanted to say, I've been watching you for a while now and it's be really cool to see how you've grown as a UA-camr. You've always been smart and well-spoken, but going back over the last couple years, you've grown even more articulate, organized, and confident. I feel like you express your points with more ease, and the videos have become more well-structured in zeroing in on what you want to say efficiently.
Girl that intro 😂😂😂😂 but for real I had a miscarriage in September and hearing her use it as a tool just pisses me off. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through and I could never imagine exploiting that for money.
I’m a stay-at-home mom and I have had so many people try recruiting me to do an MLM with them and they have almost all brought up my children and how I could start making money from home (which is I think every stay-at-home moms dream) but I have always gotten a bad vibe from it because I feel like you shouldn’t have to pay a bunch of money to start a job. But I also hate that they try to use my kids to bribe me
The best work from home jobs I’ve found involve freelance work (virtual assistant, etc.) And it’s actual, real, legit. You just don’t work in an office and you get to set your own hours, but you have real work to show for it.
Check out a UA-camr called Kat Theo. Legit think out of the box ways to make money from home even with children running around and Making noises, so no calls. I speak English and French and can translate from the comfort of my home. I can also transcribe things. I have a good voice and can make audiobooks in French and English. I can teach french ( my native language) online. I'm excellent in math and can tutor etc... Those are just off the top of my head. No scams, no sales, no pulling people in. You sign up for a company, they worry about searching clients and you get paid by the amount of work done. You can take as much or as little as you need depending on how available you are and can work around your babies schedule.
This is so true, I’ve been in MLM’s and they’re always posting “relatable” pics of their kids talking about being able to stay home with them and shit.
I couldn't imagine these tactics being used in a normal workplace setting. Imagine being proud of getting a promotion by making your boss feel sad that you got a miscarriage. This is not normal behavior.
ok the academy award for best intro I've ever seen goes directly to you
😂
Love your vids leighann OMG ur amazing
Seconded
Seriously, love it
I TOTALLY AGREE!!! LMAOOO these videos have always been great but this intro?!? LMAOO 😂 I didn’t know I needed that!
What kind of heartless person does something like this? I’m so sorry
I’m so sorry you went through this... Heart breaking. Sending you good vibes. ❤️
💔💔💔 that's horrifying. I'm so sorry and I will keep my fingers crossed 💕
What the fuck. Disgusting. My miscarriages were so traumatizing. I hate capitalism.
It's not even an excuse. It's a very valid reason!
Sassy Sunshine thank you for kind words to a stranger on the internet! So thoughtful of you. I really appreciate it!
Julia Paszek thank you for taking the time to type that out! Just a couple seconds to make a stranger smile. That’s what we need more of in this world. Thank you!
The Law And Order intro 🤣 this is straight terrible though.
Clarysage that intro had me 😆 😆 😆
I was rolling. Straight up "hello police" 😂
I Lost it 🤣🤣
Clarysage I was so not ready 😂
Ahhhhhahaha chefs kiss!!!
This is also why I’m against family vloggers like the Ace Family. Literally all their success is profiting off their kids. Disgusting.
Alyssa Blackford I’ve always felt like they’re so disingenuous
Yes! I block those channels so UA-cam won't suggest this shtuff to me
Story time: I am a military wife and when we first moved overseas, I was checking out the local fb group form the base.
@Alexa It’s like that scene from The Office, I swear these people are a parody of themselves
Using your miscarriage as a sales tactic is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever witnessed in my life.
It’s freighting people would monetize a miscarriage to recruit people. That’s how I see it...monetizing a horrible situation
So gross.🥺
Yes!
The lady doesn't even sound like she's sad about it, kind of disturbing.
“Being pregnant is not an excuse to take a step back”???? That is an appalling thing to tell anyone. Not every mother has a smooth pregnancy in fact some women get sick enough to be hospitalised.
So true! They just make expecting mothers feel worse about themselves when it should be a positive time in life.
Pfft my sister was so lazy almost dying because of her pregnancy! I mean.... Just get up!! And coach!!
Especially when this is a “fitness” MLM. Some pregnant women can’t workout while pregnant. Or maybe they don’t want to drink these “shakes” while pregnant.
@@Alexhamame Isn't it ill advised to do much exercise whilst pregnant, too?
Yep. I’m currently suffering from severe morning sickness. Let me tell you taking a step back isn’t even a choice, it’s a part of survival. So disgraceful to even say that. Ugh.
Jokes on them, kids cost a lot of money.
Shudder!
KrackShotz right?!?!? Lol
Thought-provoking videos some def are , and it's sad and sickening
Yes but you wont ever have to pay copays for them you can treat all your kids illnesses with shakes and essential oils right? 😂😂😂
I agree, she’s heartless.
Holy.... this is why I don’t trust people. As someone with recurrent miscarriages, I hate that broad. Don’t use my pain and struggle to make you a sale.
Sorry you have to go thru that pain. :::hugs:::
It sickens me as well!
Same 😕😥
She’s not using YOUR pain she’s using her own miscarriage to be a shit person.
Touch My Snek! He’s Happy To See You she’s doing both- these Huns target people who have experienced this
I’m so sorry for your losses
Shout out to all of the fellow moms who miscarried and suffered in silence and didn’t make a paycheck on it.
Also a shout-out to all the moms who miscarried and did talk about it to counter the stigma (just without doing to to promote an MLM)
“I have connected with so many women with my miscarriage” thats literally disgusting how did she say that and think yeah thats something i should say
The worst part about it is that women trust these people! Like so many women just believe they are being honest and kind, when they are just using them.
@happyhealthyhumble
on Instagram has two babies in the nicu right now and posts about it all day and is literally recruiting people who relate to having babies in a critical care unit.

Makes me sad to hear her say that.
Dude I’ve had two miscarriages and it’s heartbreaking and isolating and yeah, you do connect with total strangers over it because no one you personally know might have also gone through it

When I was using Herbalife my coach said nows the time for you to become a coach after I announced I was finally able to get pregnant. She also then said “Herbalife helped your life so much that you were able to get healthy enough for a pregnancy! So many people will be moved by your story and want to join you!”
Mind you I was doing Ivf and refused to use Herbalife as the cause of my pregnancy.
Bbygrl I am half way through a masters program in M A R K E T I N G
I know your game and I’m deeply offended that you had me drive FORTY FIVE MINUTES with my child (that’s a total ass in the car btw) just to try and sell me shit. I even tried to be nice and participate ONE TIME out of the 5 invites and I broke out from freaking Mary Kay
And don’t get me started on these damn Huns in the cloth diapering community telling me to use essential oils on my 4 month old.
Best comment ever. LOL @total ass in the car
Wow what a crazy thing to experience. That's frustrating. Good on you for staying true to you and your fam.

The Ace Family bugs the crap out of me because of this.
I always think of the books bound to come out from some of the kids on these super popular YT “family” channels
Olivia Bates 100% agree. And Instagram bloggers.
Alexis Johnston they are so cringe. It’s horrible. It looks so exploitive.
I don't know why I'm obsessed with these vids, it's like learning about a cult.
MLMs are absolutely a cult!
Edit: spelling & summery: unless you are incredibly articulate, can spew bs effortlessly and sound confident and in charge while doing so, all the while knowingly ruining people’s lives, and that’s all this “business” is about, then you will fail at an mlm
they all have AN IDENTICAL personality. If you can pull that personality off and have no moral compass mlm’s are for you!

Claire McIlmail right! Just imagine a male boss tells their female employee that.
Chilling when she said "it drives me *crazy* when (women step back because pregnant).. I can't imagine that kind of pressure. This is seriously like slavery. And even when she said "I hate when people use pregnancy as an excuse" BEING PREGNANT IS AN EXCUSE. Maternity leave is literally a thing. Smh
Ali V True ir must be so damaging to hear these women say these kind of things.
No, do not underestimate them. The "leaders/upline/liars and crooks" would just encourage them (downlines/victims) to use infertility as a way to connect and make a sale to others experiencing infertility as well.
AaronKelli Van Vuuren OMG YOU ARE SO RIGHT.

I've been down an anti-mlm rabbit hole and the way you present info logically is the best.
I've seen people in weight loss groups post their before pics as ones of them like 9 months pregnant. Like wtf 😂

To summarize, their best business plan is to “build trust” with people...and then exploit it. Sounds sustainable...!
It’s not only in the multi level marketing world, as an influencer I’m sure you’ve heard from other influencers, and maybe not but I know I’ve heard the same thing when it comes to UA-cam content creators and people who do Instagram for a living, they say they’re having a baby boost their entire career. It’s sick
Kimbyrleigha yup I thought of that too. Ace family comes to mind immediately. I can’t stand those parents.
This is eight months old, but seriously every other day the trending page has at least two pregnancy videos and tons of views.i will never understand a) posting about your pregnancy to strangers and b) being nosey enough to want to know about a stranger's pregnancy
Ah kimbyrleigha, This aged well 😂 going back to the other side, , wherever the money takes you huh?
@@lilywilson4839 LMAO
I’ve definitely seen this with YTs...... it’s disgusting
Kiki, you have it all. You're gorgeous, incredibly smart, and very well spoken. Keep doin you girl
Disturbing!!! I am 4mths pregnant after coming to terms thinking I'd never have children and gave up trying. I would never use this beautiful gift from God to exploit others...sickening!
MissBunni I’m so happy for you and your pregnancy, wishing you a smooth next five months
Congratulations, positive vibes for the rest of your pregnancy and birth of your beautiful gift.
Thanks babes 😘💕
Congratulations, what a blessing! ❤️
good luck! it’s been a while but i hope you and the baby are still okay!
💜💜💜
That lady that is using a miscarriage to promote and connect is also using postpartum depression and baby blues to do the same thing!
Alyssa Yokom My heart is with you, dude, I hope all is well 💕
hope it all went well!
I’m very sorry about your miscarriage. I hope you’re doing ok.
Valerie Lynn I have a beautiful 3 month old baby girl named Maren Grace 💕 thank you for your thoughts!
kelsey hartman happy ending 💕 I have a beautiful 3 month old baby girl now. Thank you 💕
This is sick!! "Having that open dialogue" yeah so they can take advantage of people. 🤬
I'd like to tell you how much I appreciate how you look right into the camera. It makes me feel like you're talking to me. Even tho I know you're talking to everyone out in the web
Also, the MLM "coaches" who target women struggling with fertility by saying that doing Beachbody (or another MLM) was the one thing that finally helped them get pregnant. It's disgusting.
YL oils and their progesterone oil.
Gross
This actually makes me so sick because I’ve been in 2 MLMs and you’re so right, it’s so sick. Every MLM is like this and if you don’t do it (id refuse to) they basically disown you and put you down, it is SO SICK and can literally ruin your life! I’m so happy I’m out of it
“Each day we stray farther from decency”
Omg so true 😂😂😂
Not only is this horrifyingly disgusting but my god it’s no life to live when your parents don’t love you and never actually wanted you. When you’re just a tool for attention. I’m a grown adult and I am still so messed up because of that selfish bs.
I clicked immediately! One of my childhood friends just got sucked into Younique ugh
Jewelzy Julz Oh no! I hope she finds her way out! I was so glad I did! Lost $2000 but lesson learned!
Their mascara is horrid (don’t ask how I know this 😎)!
How is the mascara bad? I love it...should I not be using it? I have tried and tried and tried to use false lashes and I fail every time...but the mascara works well for me...btw, I don’t sell it.
@@lcsharp5297 that's still helping the "business". Try IT Cosmetics lash blowout mascara.
Giiiirl I think you could single-handedly take down Scientology 😂😂
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯
I think this happens so much with social media focussed jobs. I have seen this with Family UA-camrs A LOT. Its really sad. And its really really sad that kids and traumatic events are being used as currency for attention and money.
The SVU intro parody had me dying. And ugh this whole concept is worse than family vloggers
Those poor children. These kids will grow up to resent their parents for using them as a business prop.
"I'm gonna use my miscarriage to guilt people into buying my cult memorabilia"
This is reprehensible and so predatory. I really feel for when/ if these kids ever get wind of this type of tactic.
Wow, I always knew they used their pregnancies/children to push these scams, but I didn't think they were ignorant enough to admit it.....on video! Smh
Shameless, absolutely shameless.
Edit: I love this look, Kylie! You look amazing, girl 💙
They have full time nannies?? Wasn't the whole point to "stay at home with your baaaayyybbeeees."
I’m NOT surprised that this happens.
I’m a mother and it REALLY ticks me off that my exhusband’s girlfriend uses my kids for content (with captions claiming I abandoned them and she’s such “an amazing mom” to them) to lure people into her ItWorks scam.
Why does she have your children???
@@earthangelbaby_ - She doesn’t have them. They’re around her on my ex’s visitation days.
This shows how little they actually investigate their new "job opportunity" and how much they actually read their contracts.
Lmao Kylie! The Law & Order intro...🤣🤣🤣 Hey Boo😽
I had a miscarriage with my husband and OMG I couldn’t think of anything worse then selling it to people or trying to get connections because of it. When it hurts you don’t want to talk about it and ffs you do not want to be like please come to my inbox and tell me how you can connect with me 😤
I recently had a baby. I can’t imagine using my baby to sell overpriced snake oil. My baby is for me to love & raise, not to exploit! Disgusting.
Just thinking about this topic, an old acquaintance looks like she’s using her newborn, exploitative I agree, to sell ItWorks products.
How sad
What's itworks
@@hairbeauty8083 Another MLM that shills "weight/health management" products.
But I also hate that they try to use my kids to bribe me
If you want a stay at home job there's lots of call centers that allow you to do that
Eva Evercrest I’ve heard that but I’ve never been able to find one in my area.
It’s sad that connecting with other people has become code for emotionally manipulating other people...
Hey. I think your partner is sleeping on the job 😸
Me, a single mom with 3 small businesses, and have never exploited my kids for content to sell my stuff -- I'm ready to get angry.
I would rather eat rocks for the rest of my life than have another kid to “boost” in an MLM.
