Everyone makes mistakes, the question is what will you learn from it. What I learned from this mistake is that I will NEVER pour concrete when it's this windy ever again! Enjoy
You’re a unique bossman in how genuinely morally solid and decent you are. If I was a concrete guy near you, I’d be applying in a heartbeat. Boy I’ve had some bad bosses and ones like you show me how I’m trying to be one day
I been addicted to watching your videos it’s so relaxing seen the tear downs and then the fresh concrete I’m a mixer driver my self from California hope you have a great season!
I must also add that I found out that my dad and brother also watch you.. you got 1/2 of a family that watches you and enjoys the work you do.. my brother loves when you make fun of Darryl the destroyer and so does my dad and my mom watched a couple of videos and she appreciates what you do for Darryl Jr.. and we all appreciate how positive you are all the time
My favorite to watch waiting for fuel at the yard in the mornings. And Ryan can we please setup a go fund me for mr Bobby as someone w lung issues just breathing can be a chore. Appreciate you Ryan
Turned out great! We deal with windy conditions too up here in West Virginia so we know how wind plays a factor in finishing concrete. The key is keeping top moist for making it easier to seal up and broom nice! Like you said its a long winter and funds get low and have to make payroll! Nice job
The thing I've noticed with most contractors, besides not admitting mistakes, is they will all inevitably rip on the guy that did work before them. It's SO common to hear "well this guy didn't know what they were doing." It's almost like a tactic to make the customer think that you know so much better. It gets old. Also, it's rare, but I do occasionally hear "these guys knew what they were doing," or "they were thinking of the next guy when they did this work..." It would be nice to hear more praise of the good, and less easy, cheap shots at obvious bad work.
I do my best to give excuses for something the previous guy might have done wrong but Sometimes the laziness and bad work is so obvious that nothing really needs to be said. Just come in & fix whatever it is that they did wrong. Bad talking another contractor will always come back to bite you. There’s not a single one that hasn’t made mistakes forgotten things or even been in a rush with different stuff on their mind.
I feel you on the wind Oklahoma has been getting slammed i feel like i’ve been eating dirt all week. Plus nothing is worse then trying to finish mud with a hard top and wet undeneath
I just think it’s awesome you made a awesome thing out of trash. We get up early every day taking out the trash and you turned it into a popular thing lol genius. Now I’m saying it every morning🤣
Marcel has definitely stepped up and has been a value part of the team. No one can ever replace Bugs but he definitely has the potential to be a solid finisher as long as he doesn't fall back into his bad habits of being a no call no show and proves he can be reliable team member. Best of luck to a 2022 season.
As a contractor, we’ve all made mistakes. And your right most won’t ever admit their mistakes. I was brought up to always be honest and admit your faults. We are all human and far from perfect. Keep on hustling and I can’t wait to see what 2022 brings you and the crew!
As you said at the end, it’s hard to understand the pressures of running your business and keeping a schedule. We’ve all been right there, at some point , and you pulled it off 👍
Great job once again , despite the wind . You probably know this already , but you need a small sand bag hanging from the center of your tripod, helps the tripod from falling over on windy days.
So windy it blew the screed board over. Dang , it is nice having g a smaller crew. I do t feel obligated to pour in those conditions to keep em busy. I don't know if that was the case. It is tricky and hard to get Mudd around here but I think wind is worse than sun tbh especially w high early in it
Has Darryl Jr. ever been do a specialist to check out his breathing? Something has to be seriously wrong for him to speak like that. I'm worried he could stop breathing one night while sleeping. Hope he is alright!
The satisfaction to once again see a concrete pour from you & your guys Ryan! Awesome intro by the way! It’s gonna change things up for the new season. I’m just a freelance photographer from California & have never poured concrete in my 23 years of living but I absolutely love your videos! Much love too all of you & blessings to your new season!
I'm located in northern Utah. We poured a basement and garage in the morning and 100 feet of sidewalk. The wind was blowing around 20mph all day and it was terrible!! So I feel your pain my man. The only thing worse than pouring in the wind, is when you're short handed and start losing a floor.
Thank you Ryan for being so transparent at the end.. just goes to show everyone that even 20 year vet contractors aren't perfect and sometimes you just have to dig down and work thru it.
You all did a great job considering the wind was against you and kept blowing your camera tripod over. See Darren is doing the supervisor’s job again, he is doing a good job.
Weights on the tripod legs will help keep it from falling. This is the same thing I used in the desert for communications equipment. Hope it helps. Great content! Keep up the awesome videos.
Ryan, have you ever had a job where you make a "poor" decision to pour in less than ideal conditions and the job comes out not to your liking? How did you or would you go about resolving it?
As long as he has done concrete, he has had to tear jobs out and redo them. Maybe he can talk about that in a video. No doubt that has happened before.
@ no you. Forman during the week, weekend hustler by weekend. Weekdays I run a crew of 6-8 guys doing work for the state. I have not and will not dump blame my men. If they fail l failed If I fail well I failed.
For the wind to be blowing hard the audio still sound good I’ve been watching when it was only 3.4k subscribers I love my job to oh btw that video you made about being Rich and then you showed your family I loved that bro FAMILY is everything but God is first keep on getting that easy money and all you guys be safe Godbless
Thank you for the videos! They are great to watch. I went threw a pretty bad break up, I was heartbroken. Not working at the time due to ill health, it was all to much and your videos helped me. I’m in construction myself in the uk. Watching how USA do things especially the different states it’s really cool. Keep up the great work. Again I would like to say thank you!
Payroll ……. Simple fix tell the guys to kick rocks , that’s what I do !! Besides … it’s not like there gonna spend the money on anything brilliant like electricity , food , car payments, an etc LOL
I'm bored and depressed so I figured to come and watch pretty much every single 1 of your videos on both pages to keep me distracted and to keep my mind off of the sadness and dark thoughts.. you're always entertaining and always find a way to make me laugh every time so I appreciate that more than you know Ryan.. and I'm sure I'm not the only one who uses your videos to help them when they're dealing with some hard times.. and on behalf of us all I'd like to say we appreciate it! Thank you!
WHERE IS BUGS?!! Haven’t seen him even once on any of the snow plowing videos or the tour videos. Was really looking forward to see him on the first pour. Almost hit the dislike for that reason alone! 😂😂😂
Marcel ripped that cig out of his mouth like he was busted by his dad lol
🤣🤣
I thought the same thing 🤣🤣
I watched it five times, he looked like a cop snuck up on him doing no good!
It was hilarious!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

As they say Ryan when the job gets tough the tough get going.... good job for sticking that out

When things started getting tough with the wind and the way the top was drying out your crew kept pushing on, Good save!
Good job considering the wind. Happy to see your videos again!
Your work is awesome
The struggle is real. You just gotta stay real also. We all make mistakes some figure out how to make the best of it. Amazing work in ruff conditions!
The mouse in the shed at 2:24 by the shovel’s zoomed 🐁💨
If I had a chance to work with you guys I would cause man I love the energy you guys give even on the the rough it's always positive
I have the same problem when I’ve been over Ryan it’s like trying to fold a football

Could you make a video on what tools/equipment is best to have to start a concrete business.
2:21 protection gear should have no price tag on it brooooo! let the man have em🤣 hes the big player in clips too the victory team 👌🏻💪🏻💪🏻🙇♂️
I feel you on the wind Oklahoma has been getting slammed i feel like i’ve been eating dirt all week. Plus nothing is worse then trying to finish mud with a hard top and wet undeneath
Good job
Jr the reason I subscribed 😂😂
I just think it’s awesome you made a awesome thing out of trash. We get up early every day taking out the trash and you turned it into a popular thing lol genius. Now I’m saying it every morning🤣
Hey ryan been watching since a long time keep up the good work ! kno nothing aboout concrete but can't you cut joins by hand when its that windy ?
18:28 how scared he puts the cigaret out of his mouth like hes dad caught him
"Take the cheaper gloves, you don't do a lot of work anyway" hahahha
Put in a gallon? If what? Water. Will it really make a lot of difference? Curious. You know your stuff. Enjoy the videos thanks. Ryan
It looks like a Norwegian summer 😅
Best concrete channel on UA-cam …. Why don’t you just keep reusing the plywood instead of buying new ?
We use it until it’s splintered into toothpicks but eventually I have to buy new.
They did. Did you see the condition of the plywood towards the end of the last season? Haha nothing left
The problem with wind is it surface dries and you got to work harder
Yep
I did concrete works for 25 years but I did walls and footings
Excellent!
Adding a gallon doesn’t do anything lol other then make it go faster when you keeping adding a gallon at a time
Hey Ryan do you ever do any prevailing wage jobs?
why marcel try to hide his cigarette at the end😂😂😂😂
dang, took long enough to get a new video :) What is the release schedule for your videos?
We call it marshmellow mud when it’s that windy
What happened to bugs?
The fact you still did an amazing job despite the adverse conditions just shows how skilled you and your team are!
You can tell Francisco is stepping up his game since bugs is gone, keep up the good work fellas!
what happend to bugs
Messed up his shoulder and had to have surgery. Should be back mid season.
Had surgery
It's that new truck of his. It's changing him 💪😂
I agree, he seems to be opening up more.
Marcel has definitely stepped up and has been a value part of the team. No one can ever replace Bugs but he definitely has the potential to be a solid finisher as long as he doesn't fall back into his bad habits of being a no call no show and proves he can be reliable team member. "Hopefully this isn't our old friend..."
😂 Ryan has history with bus drivers.
😂😂

Marcel hiding his tab like you done in school when a teacher comes 🤣 18:28
As you said at the end, it’s hard to understand the pressures of running your business and keeping a schedule. We’ve all been right there, at some point , and you pulled it off 👍
@@frandome I’m sure if it wasn’t up to standards Ryan would have re done it not that big of a deal
@@frandome you're on drugs if you think they'll have to tear this out. Get off your horse buddy
Let Junior wear whatever gloves he wants. He probably wants to wear what you’re wearing. Probably broke his heart. It’s just gloves bro. Lol
2:24 Under the shovel looks like a rat running across then along the top of the stamps
Seen it
Good eye!!
18:28 he’s like what cigarette 😂
😝
Maybe he told his wife he quit lol
@@Filayyyz I’ve been there done that

An ol school plum-line would do the trick eh
@@dsilverleaf4668…yup sure would .
I've been looking forward to this project since last year. Such a beautiful yard this guy has
Francisco has really come out of his shell since last year. I loved it when he said it's too early for that 🤣.
Hey Ryan you have a mouse or rat in your Conex! go to 2:25 and look by the blue shovel.
That was messed up... you should have let him grab those gloves. The diffrance is 2 bucks or his happiness.
Shout out Mr. Francisco for holding it down good job!
18:29
He grabbed that cigarette out of his mouth quick 😂
I'm guessing Ryan doesn't like smoking in the trucks from Marcel's reaction
lot of kids mabe u can be a giggalow lol joking, need that check lol long list short lkist nice lol

It was a bad choice but it done . Sometimes people don't understand you have to take the good and bad some days. Glad to see everything went well.
Can someone inform the poor ladies in Home Depot that Biden is not making the gas prices go up 😂. Some Americans are so mis informed.
Has Darryl Jr. ever been do a specialist to check out his breathing? Something has to be seriously wrong for him to speak like that. I'm worried he could stop breathing one night while sleeping. Hope he is alright!

It’s funny how Francisco is happy because he wants to pour concrete 😆😆😆😆

Yea that can be tricky.. Be careful of the spider cracks.. After pour.. But you got it.. Easssssy money
Mouse in the container at 2.24 next to the white box and shovels
The home Depot Ladies know what's up and who's fault it is! HAHA that cracked me up!
They sure did. I found that interesting and thats why I included it.
Weights on the tripod legs will help keep it from falling. This is the same thing I used in the desert for communications equipment. Hope it helps. Great content! Keep up the awesome videos.

You can see the mouse in the shed running under the shovel @2:25
I can never understand what Daryl Jr is saying
I respect it... great job crew!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great Job Ryan Sometimes you have to turn a bad day into a good one! Came out great. 🚧🚧👍

Ryan you are awesome! You owned-up to a mistake. Dude you know your crew, they got your back
What happened to erick and bugs
Marcel knows how to keep the boss happy. See how fast he snapped back and kept his cigarette smoke from you. Lol
I just saw that at the end😂 he seems like a good dude. Everyone makes mistakes. Still better worker then... you know who😁
Adapt and Overcome! Nice Save Ryan!
