I saw the Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) campers in the background when the vid started and was hoping you'd walk back there. The CAMP-HBE camper is great (you didn't mention it by name since it had the custom wrap on it). Love the OEV campers. We have a CAMP-X model for the last couple year and love it. Build quality is top notch, composite construction has great insulation and no more condensation (like our previous aluminum-framed pop-up camper) plus it has had no issues with all the twisting and rough offroad driving.
Very nice 👌 I know that for sure we're going to see a couple new Tundra's with this kind of bed but I never expected an AT4X which I think it's the best custom Sierra ever !
Anyone question GVWR and payload capacity after the bed change, equipment add-ons, and other alterations to the vehicle? Is the driver's door jam placard accurate? Does it represent recertification of the weights? Seems like these "show trucks" are just that..."show trucks".
GVWR wouldnt change, so it will just be how much this bed and accessories weigh on top of what a stock truck would have been. I'm sure many modern overland rigs are way over rated capacities. I'm sure most will be fine, but does open up the possibility of litigation if an issue resulting from that arises.
Ha. I was going to comment the same thing. Big difference between Lithium Ion and Lithium Iron Phosphate (though I'm sure Andre meant to simply use the acceptable and generic "lithium" term rather than lithium ion. Lithium Ion (like in laptops, phones and some low end camper batteries) make me nervous for campers and boats. We only use LiFePO4 for those applications because they have excellent thermal and chemical stability.. Plus, way more cycles, and so more years of use, out of a lithium iron phosphate.
Thank you, Andre, I mean no disrespect and appreciate what y'all do and I applaud anyone who can afford toys like this. Then again, should we? With the money spent on a rig like that, I could make my current truck an awesome overland rig and have enough left for a steak.
Such rigs look cool but the bed seems to be a waste. Wouldn't a regular bed (with a cap if necessary) achieve the same result and still be more versatile, cheaper, and lighter?
It's purpose built for access to specific gear in an overlanding situation. Have you ever tried to carry a bunch of gear on extremely rough terrain in the bed of a pickup, and have it completely accessible without having to climb in to find or access things? That's what these are for. Totally impractical for normal truck use, but not everyone uses their truck for actual work. Personally, I'd love a flatbed on my work truck.
$73K is nuts! $50K is nuts too! Just buy yourself a Jeep and it will give you more freedom. Jeep Willy's 4dr with V6 Pentastar and a NoBo trailer is more than enough for total enjoyment.
@@truckerbruno816 The basics shouldnt be too hard to do yourself. A moderate suspension is fairly straight forward and can be done with hand tools, and paired with a good set of tires should be a great starting point in terms of capability for a full size truck.
Great Aussie made trays and canopys. I love mine here in AUSTRALIA on my F250 👍🏼
Nice
It is a nice rig to be sure. But, I can’t even afford the cheapest AT4X let alone add all that extra gear
I agree and it doesn’t make since financially to spend the amount of money that’s asked for these trucks.
Not to mention that payload. After you're loaded you have room for nothing once you have 2-3 people in it.
Excellent work
Andre
love you guys

I was excited to meet you near the RedArc booth Andre! Keep up the great content.
The Aussies always have/make the best stuff. 👍
Oh man, I like that GMC … even the color is nice.
Does this truck with this payload is capable on the sand dunes?
Will the AT4X AEV come in the 2500HD? Or just on the 1500?
Love the truck where can I get it another gear do you have a list 😀
5:33 They are not Lithium Ion batteries, Andre. It's LiFePO4, the new formula that becomes popular in China among their EVs.

@@MrChadx1 yea, but most EV still use Li-ion. Li-iron is still fairly new technology, needs more research.
Cool setup

Watch the GM truck haters talk smack. 😂. That's one awesome build.

That is a LOT of stuff. lol
This is very custom like the modern tech still packaged into the off road package.
You turn any old truck into this on a budget
EASILY....FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE
Step 1) win lotto.
Step 2) ship to Australia
Step 3) enjoy early retirement touring
That’s why I can’t get an AEV bumper for my truck!!! They have them all there !!
im guessing $140k
Say Hi to Shauno 4WD24/7
Damn less payload than my Maverick
I like GMCs and Chevys I'm going to switch back to the Chevy my Ford put me in the ditch after the steering box went out of it
Rather have the duramax
It is not at the level of what XO team is building.
The company that made that should be out of business lol. Stupid build
What do you figure. 80% of that trucks cost is pure profit by the time they get finished.
Has it all minus approach angle and ground clearance
Think of it as an over done tailgater. Not a true dedicated off road beast. 😂
