@@zuiio483 high grades are always bad, high points/stars are always good.
Grades usually go to 5 or 6, however 5&6 both mean that the person has failed. The is usually used to mark absence/a blank paper.
So if you say grade x, than everybody understands you. While with points/stars it's usually required to also give the max value (like 3/5), for others to understand you.

Judges on this show are like "delicious, it's changed my life, it's the greatest dish ever made and will redefine culinary knowledge for generations to come, i give it a solid 2/5"
Until the final episode where the finalists could shit on the plate and get a 9/10
2:09 really kudos to Josh for acknowledging his competition that way and not just taking it as an opportunity for acting out like a prissy kid like so many others routinely do
So weird how the entire contest came down to the final dish, that never happens.

It actually should come down to the last dish. If these people are good at cooking, which is what they're paid to be doing before they get on the show, then every entry should be getting at the least a 3/5, with only highly competitive dishes making the differences.
If dishes were getting 1s and 2s, then I'd question how that is possible from professional cooks.

When a souffle tastes powdery it's usually because of the bottom layer and the outer layers being dry; cooked too fast to form a dry outside; think of it as a frozen steak that was seared quickly, it can be burnt on the outside but perfectly rare/medium on the inside.

I've noticed all these challenges always end in a tie. It's never like a 2 point lead or a 3 point lead, its always a near-tie.
Like they get the judges to make sure the score is even so there's a dramatic reveal at the end.
All of Gordon's shows are scripted in some way. There's literally no fucking way every single challenge in the entire run of the show has been neck and neck it's fakery

Ratzenberger looks like a toughie in this clip. Which is strange because every time I see him voice act in a pixar film, I can always imagine him having the mofuggin time of his life.
