Being a San Diego native I love the history of Old Town. Growing up at the north end of Moreno Blvd I rode my bicycle to Old Town at a young age. I played in the Presidio and the river catching frogs and crawfish. It was a marvelous place to spend my days.
That sounds amazing. I grew up around Clairemont and we did the same at Tecalote canyon!
Remember when p.b. and Old Town were white ghettos? There were three hotels, Islandia, Catamaran and...🤔, and the valley had cattle and deer for miles. The bay was a marsh of stink and insects, we Loved it. Drive-in near the railroad track, the madman of Rose Creek. We were off Morena too 👍.

OT has a cool vibe
Having visited San Diego for the first time I’m one impressed tourist. It’s pretty laid back and the people are surprisingly friendly. Also got to check out Old Town. Bought a box of cigarettes from Racine and Laramie and went to eat at Casa De Reyes. What a nice place.

My first visit from the midwest blew me out the water. I lived their for 6 months and I always say, "The weather makes 'em friendly". There aren't many American cities i care to plant my roots in and live, but San Diego is the only place in America
