Nice display of goodies, congrats on your new fur baby Ryker, great name. I've seen eight ounce sprays at rei and amazon, but it's been a while. Happy trails and adventures, be safe.
Awwww Shawn absolutely adorable buddy congratulations my friend always great seein you buddy!!!!! Stay well we’re fighting the smoke here as well!!!! It’s bad here😊
@@theedcden5515 yes as a matter of fact I’m a pro!!!! #1 feed the puppy dry food only and try to buy the very best food you can…. It’s crucial puppies need a lot of nutrients it’s the most important thing you can do!!!!! Also as a adult dog you’ll put him on senior dog food…. Toys toys toys you have to keep there mind occupied and it’s also good for the teeth….. buy a toy once a week the get bored fast……. But keep up with the shots and vet appointments good luck let me know if you need anything
The pup is really cool! I definitely don’t understand in bear spray, but surely have a lot of experience in tick removal. Imho tweezers are the last resort to use, it’s always better to wait longer and remove a tick later with a proper tool (twisting tool has never ever failed me and my dog) than try to do it quickly with tweezers.
Hey, good to hear from you! Hope all is well. Good advice about the tweezers. I have a proper tick removal tool that I keep at home. So far, I’ve had to pull 2 ticks off Ryker. Certainly unpleasant for the pup but he was a brave boy ☺️
You may not want a smaller can of bear spray. That canister in particular will empty out in seconds and you'll want as much as possible in the event of an angry or curious bear encounter. That can is cumbersome, but could be worse. I personally would carry 2, the extra weight would be worth not being bear food or a bull moose pancake👍
Hey Earl, very good points. I’ve carried bear spray often, but never used it thankfully. Wasn’t sure if the can I have is meant for multiple use but you’re right, can’t hurt to have extra. 👍🤙
@@theedcden5515 sure you could carry less. You might possibly get by with carrying runners mace. But in my very quiet and humble opinion, its very very hard, if not impossible, for the average person or even a professional to accurately train to stop an attacking animal or person with a firearm, I recommend bear spray to lots of people. It's legal, less lethal, and has a decent range, and accuracy isnt as important compared to a firearm. The can you have has a good amount of pressure. That being said, in a state of panic with an attacking animal, it will likely be empty before you know it. The best way to tell would be to get up wind and let it rip, just so you'll have peace of mind in the future. Run a stop watch and empty it, also gauge its distance and effectiveness at range. Good luck, hopefully you never have to use it👍
Again, great points here Earl. Really good idea to test the can I’m using and get comfortable with it and the spray time. Just might do that once I source a backup can or two 👍
Beautiful pupper! A wonderful carry as well! Great video 👍
