As a Thai person, if you wanna make your own bare bones Thai tea, try finding a high quality loose leaf strong black tea. Then infuse it with cardamom and star anise. Brew all that together, let cool, then mix in a homemade keto condensed milk and also a bit of regular milk or a tiny bit of heavy cream for the creamy aspect. This is gonna get you closest to the authentic taste.
Thanks for going through the ingredient list and nutrition labels for us, Thomas. Makes it easier for us to compile our shopping list, lol. Very educational too! Appreciate it.
I make a pretty good iced matcha latte using the Matcha powder in the video and either pure monk fruit extract or stevia extract and 8-10 oz organic vanilla unsweetened almond milk (also at costco). I use a handheld frother to mix the monk fruilt/stevia in the almond milk first, then add 1/2 tbsp matcha powder and continue mixing with the frother. Then add ice and enjoy. It's thick because I usually don't add too much water but when the ice melts a little, it's great.
The sushi is made the night before and anything left at the end of the day is donated to a pig farm. Received at the store daily. Love the videos. Costco employee here 😊
That cat food bit was hysterical!! You are awesome! I am a nursing instructor and appreciate your passion and inclusion of research studies. Please keep doing what you do!
Your comment made me laught because most nurses i uave met are very anti-continued education after they get their degree. They think they know everything about health and nutrition but, in reality, know nothing at all but conventional dumb dumb stuff.
Boba Tea Protein makes a monk fruit sweetened classic milk tea, Thai tea, matcha latte, taro, pumpkin spice, Vietnamese coffee, and pumpkin spice protein powder with grassfed whey protein isolate. I’m curious to see your thoughts on that product.
Great video! To your Thai Iced Tea request - here is an incredibly delicious and healthy version that blows me away quite honestly. Roobois tea with almond milk and honey. Brew a strong batch of tea and then pour over ice and add the rest... or you could always add the honey to the tea while it's hot first. Sounds basic, but there's something about the way they taste together. Pure alchemy! And, of course you can always swap out the sweetener to your choice. I bet monk fruit would be great!
I’m so glad you finally went over the IQbar I really wanted to hear you talk about it because I kept seeing it in peoples videos. Thank you for your videos
Love your costco item series! Would love to see the same for walmart/nofrills/metro and other grocery stores. Keep up the amazing content!! Very helpful :)
I enjoy the people coming up to you and letting them know the success they've had with your guidance, such as the man who lost 80 lbs. These are short clips but important to show that not only is what you're doing helping people but that others can be motivated to be like them.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your flexible approach (not fearing certain things like natural flavors) and giving several options to encourage. Language is important. I appreciate not using the fear mongering terms..... It makes it less daunting for newbies trying to convert over to choosing healthier options.
I understand why you passed on the chocxo based on the label. I love them as a choclate fix. They are individually wrapped and rich and delicious enough to squash my candy cravings.
Hey Thomas Avenue entrepreneur and I can't afford another membership to Costco. Can you do it like this for Sams club? I love Sams Animojis that I don't have a Costco membership LOL thank you so much for all that you do. I really appreciate you forgive me for not coming sooner I've been on the bench of your content for the past two weeks!! I'm LEARNIN SOOOOO Much for health & fitness to help my fans/ future clients...my FAMILY! WE ARE WORTH IT!!! YOU ROCK!
Where on earth did you find a Costco this quiet? My local Costco is zoo and every visit feels like a mission just to get in and out in one piece without losing my shit on somebody.
Really enjoy your videos, Thomas DeLauer! My doctor put me on the Ketogenic Diet with my daily exercise and I am having great success with my weight loss. It still amazes me how much sugar in regular processed foods out there and your knowledge has helped me make better, clean Keto food choices.
The golden yellow kiwi really are very good. The skin is not fuzzy like the green type. Both have edible skins, though. And you can freeze both - I slice them with skins on and freeze for convenience in eating.
I brew Thai tea leaves, add stevia, mix with Nutpods Vanilla Creamer. Pretty close to Restaurant style without all that sugar from the sweetened condensed milk.
I was happy he approved Poppi … I recently stopped drinking alcohol (16 days today ;) and this drink helps my cravings while I’m on my 60 pounds to lose in 9 months goal. That stuff is delicious I must say !
Thanks Thomas. I've added some new items to my list to try. The Tzatziki looks really good. About the Overnight Oats, since they're not organic, then they would have been sprayed with Glyphosate as a drying agent. And they can say non Gmo, since the plant was not genetically modified, but the oats were saturated with Glyphosate so still pretty scary stuff.
The tzatziki, you can make it easy and it is delicious! You just put cucumber pieces in the yoghurt, smashed garlic, salt, oregano, parsley, whatever seasoning you like. 😊 I put olive oil, and I add crushed or grinded walnuts. If you want it creamier, grind the cucumber and let it drain for 10 minutes. You can squeeze them to drain them faster. 😊
Have you tried Kirkland Keto snack mix? Pecans, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, Brazil nuts, and dried cheddar cheese pieces. Very clean and beautiful nuts.
What about the Raw Pecans and Walnuts... that are Nut flavored. I season them with Redmond Salt and Penzeys Frozen Pizza Seasoning it has Fennel in it and is so good (actually on everything) What are your thoughts on seeds? The combo of Sunflower and Pumpkin is supposed to be great for the prostate. (Syrian Pumpkin seeds and oil) Regarding Coffee, What do you think about Lairds with the Cordyceps mushroom blend. He looks amazing at 59. Love Your Show!
We live by Laird! We get free stuff since we buy so much 😂 good to know the creamer is at Costco, I almost got some at natural grocers. Glad I decided to wait. I’m not opposed to coconut sugar so I’ll be adding that to my Costco list! Thank you 😊
I like “vote with your dollars.” Happy to see more and more options that have more wholesome organic materials more readily available. Like we’ll pay for healthier food. Tho it should really be the standard.
I am Muslim and we consume taw milk and raw honey everyday. Finding raw milk here in Colorado was a little tricky but the solution has been investing in a co-op cow, me and other consumers help care for the cow financially and the farmer provides me the milk raw😋
Oohmommy! Korn's good tho. If you peel the rice off sushi, it's a different product. Super fun trip, thank you for doing exactly what I do there and shortening my next trip
Thank you Thomas! I love these videos. I have learned so much on food choices and was super excited that I chose a few of these on my last Costco run!!!
The secret of Thai tea is adding vanilla extract with the black tea and using orange pekoe or the bergamot one with black tea. If you go to a pakistani store and get red label loose tea and a tea strainer, powdered vanilla in that same pakistani store if you don't want the extract with the alcohol to spike your blood sugar, use coconut milk and monkfruit or stevia... it will be an amazing mock Thai tea.
Video idea - go into Costco, Sam's, etc. & if someone recognizes you offer to "grade their cart" by looking through what they picked up and offer advice/alternatives. OR - offer to shop with them. Just an idea.
The Truff sauce really is great! I don’t like it on everything but the things that I put it on is really enjoyable! It doesn’t take very much so you’re not likely to end up with 5 teaspoons on something. In my opinion. I’m not a big fan of Tabasco sauce, Frank’s Hot Sauce or the like, they are too vinegary and so I prefer things like.Truffle sauce or Sriracha.
I like that you say why you like and don't like certain foods. I am not keto but I do need to keep my saturated fat low. So while olive oil is preferable, the nut oils would be fine. I don't like any flavors in chips, but I appreciate learning about the IQ bar. Also, I cook from scratch, but have not cooked an all day tomato sauce since Rao's marinara came out. I agree with you it is the best. Thanks for the suggestion to just eat the peel of the yellow kiwi. It is super hard to peel a kiwi once it is ripe. Beneficial fiber? Super!
Hey Thomas, Do you think you could do an in depth video explaining how to start Cardio, strength, and resistance training to someone just starting out?
Great products, we love Costco! Any of the Kevin's meals you can't really go wrong. My personal experiences on some items - the Sonoma Pizza crisps while relatively low in added/included salt, STILL taste a bit too salty to my palate - we prefer the Parmesan Whisps. I LOVE LOVE milk but for some reason the A2 stuff makes my stomach twist, so I stick with Kirkland's whole milk. Thomas walked by them (curious his opinion) but for a sweet tooth craving we also love the 'That's It!' mini fruit bars and the Unreal Dark Chocolate Coconut Minis.
The pizza crisps are really good and very dangerous, you can easily over eat on them if you're not careful. I weigh my portions and but the bag away before eating them just because they are that good.
do you have a good recipe for matcha? I love green tea, so hoping to LOVE matcha too. Have not done well trying to figure out how to use it to my liking.
Man as a German I envy US shopping places. In Germany the main ingredient for EVERYTHING is Rapeseedoil(canola oil), which is highly inflammatory and a neurotoxin - that's why so many people in Germany have "shivering hands". In german supermarkets you can't get anything ready to eat that's as good as in this video. Most companies even push keto stuff with rapeseed or sunflower oil. Germany is the land of rapeseedoil+wheat and the vegan agenda is insanely strong. Also 99% of vegan products consist of 80% water sludges with rapeseedoil and wheat. That's why people became so insanely ill and fat(or skinny fat) in the past 10 years.
Order olive oil and cut out the rapeseed and canola, then, kinda stinks to have to make such a big effort just for health, but at least it will be worth it
Same in many Midwestern and rural areas of the US. I lived in Cal (where he is) for 20 years and it was easy (albeit expensive) to eat clean. Moved to Midwest and MISERABLE options...everything filled with either canola (rapeseed) oil, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils and/or highly oversalted. Artificial sweeteners everywhere. Strips of fast food joints, I affectionately call "death row". Bleh!
Love this review Thomas! Very detailed and thanks for sharing as my wife and I shop at Costco. Keep doing videos on these types of videos. Please do other stores like Krogers and Wegman's if you have them in your area.
If you need a nondairy/eggless (vegan) protein powder, Lifetime's Life's Basics Unsweetened Vanilla Plant Based Protein helped me a lot years ago when I was recovering from an illness. Ingredients are just yellow pea protein, hemp seed, rice protein, chia seed, vanilla, and salt. The chia makes it a little sweet even all by itself in water and also thickens it. I used to blend it with a banana and cinnamon.
Hi Thomas, I’ve learned a lot from you about ingredients. Would you please do more videos for vegan / vegetarian products and their ingredient lists? It would help me buy cleaner, safer veg products when I shop.
I love your video. I learned a lot when you read ingredients and calories. Btw I like milk tea and Thai ice tea too. I always make my own because I use Monk fruit or honey for sweetness and plant milk. I am more satisfied to drink this more than buy it at the store.
Truff is pretty tasty. Since its thicker I tend to use a very light schmear of it instead of a pour like other hot sauces. YMMV, but I love it and along with the Bibigo rice portioning (half each meal) = super easy meal preps with just a protein, etc.
Thank you for the helpful videos - I always ended up taking notes as I'm watching! I'm interested to know what your thoughts are on fermentation process dairy that doesn't involve raising livestock, and therefore no unsanitary conditions, debate about raw vs pasturised, antibiotics, inflammation markers, casomorphin - basically the issues you mentioned when talking about the P2 milk, and more. I would be really interested in your take on it, if you were to do a video on this subject. Can you see it being a nutritionally beneficial switch from traditional dairy in the foreseeable future? Thanks again and keep up the excellent work :)
People with dairy allergy (like me...) need to be aware that even though the non-animal whey protein really is vegan, it is just as allergenic as the whey from Bessie. The whey proteins from both sources are identical. The whey part of milk is the worst part for me... But I'm glad to see this alternative, it's a step in the right direction.
If you reheat overnight oats (or microwaved and refrigerated white or sweet potatoes), do they remain resistant starches? Thanks so much for the great education on reading ingredient and nutrition labels! ❤️

Theres a boba place here in WA seattle area called bobae and they have monk fruit options! Chai, milk, and thai tea!!! No boba pearls tho
great video, thanks!
If you reheat overnight oats (or microwaved and refrigerated white or sweet potatoes), do they remain resistant starches? Thanks so much for the great education on reading ingredient and nutrition labels! ❤️
I think I had a Thomas sighting this morning 😎✌
@24:56 actually there’s far more in regular garlic than black garlic
