@@laurelwilson8076 I have seen more wooly worms in the last month then I have my whole life in Indiana also. I was just talking to my wife about this we live in central Indiana. I usually see 1 of that every year but I have seen 6 already this year just in Aug-Sept

NC coast has had rain every day for the past week. The last thing we need is this slow moving system.
We could use some of that rain on the other side of the Smokey Mountains. I haven't mowed in 3 weeks. Even the Johnson grass is turning brown.

Hi thanks for keeping everyone safe, the flash flooding is always looming during this sort of storms. It’s raining west of Chapel Hill, N. C.
It is really something that it is impossible for my area to get rain. I live in Pittsburgh. Canonsburg. Everything is dead, dry, and crispy. It just has not rained this summer. I think we are headed for many more summers like this and I think snow here in Pittsburgh is a thing of the past.
If I can drive there in one long day I'd say I'm in a nearby region. I can. I am.
We have had SO MUCH RAIN in large amounts, suddenly, in the New York City area, all of it.
Sometimes I daydream about long culverts and pipes and great big reservoirs going from state to state....I like the coast I don't want it to wash away, or you folks to dry up!
I haven't seen rain, meaningful rain, in central Ohio for literally months. My lawn is likely at the point of being completely dead if we don't get rain here soon.
I'm in Franklin too. Trees are dying. Worried about birds and other wildlife.

We so very much need rain in southern Ohio. The rains have gone north or south of us since July.
Up north here in Franklin county it's bad. No real rain since May. Yard last mowed May 23.

A shout out to Liquid iv.. my brother went into hospice..he couldn't eat. I put him onto liquid IV . It made such a HUGE DIFFERENCE for him. He was able to start eating, found energy, became mobile enough to get around in house... it gave him some quality of life back ...we have gotten a year we did not think we would. It's not a cure! But it gave his body what he was not getting & able to enjoy his life a bit more! It's great stuff! We all take it now!!

I don't normally say this, but even I am looking forward to the fall. This summer sucks. It has been so damn hot and over the last few weeks, very dry. I am starting to think Indiana is going to look like Phoenix in the next couple of years if this keeps up.
Yup, something strange is definitely going on. This felt like the longest Summer ever.
It was hot and humid in Michigan. I saw an astrophysicist say that solar flares and wind patterns determine the weather and there was similar weather 100+ years ago. I have no idea how accurate that is. This summer has been pretty miserable in terms of weather.

Oh my, I live on a mountain on the BlueRidge Parkway in Virginia. We do get lots of run off and the mountain stream in our yard does run out of the banks during heavy storms. Grateful for the heads up.

How odd to see a tropical storm potentially form right as soon as it reaches landfall. Wonder what kind of conditions need to be set for it to form so close to land.

Brunswick county nc here!!! Flash flooding people stranded on hwys (18 inches of rain) cars in sink holes…our water never went fully down from hurricane Debby last month so that didn’t help

I live near the coast in Wilmington. On Sunday, local meteorologist said 3-5", schools were not called off or anything. We are used to that. You said alot more than that, we got 15-18" in Carolina Beach. Roads collapsed, water flooded and stranded many motorists, kids were being picked up and stranded, it was a mess. Thank you for your accuracy. I've been stuck on you for a while, congrats on all the new equipment!!!

The storm in Wilmington, NC today was insane. Southport and Carolina Beach had extreme dumping of heavy rain... like over 20" in 24 hrs. Can you confirm this to your listeners- cz this was so unexpected and took our area by surprise. Many long time locals say it's historic. Thanks Ryan. The pics are sad.

It is so dry here in West Virginia that our creek is nearly bone dry.. we’ve been setting traps to save fish stuck in dwindling puddles.
I've told my family about you and they don't watch the weather anymore. You've been spot on damn near every single time. They keep your live on the tv during hurricanes lol

Here in Wilmington, NC it’s been hitting us since last night. Major flooding today with high winds. Carolina Beach flooded out.
Carolina beach is already underwater.
Southport is getting hammered by storms and are already in double digits for rainfall.
It's not bad up in Burgaw, but west Pender is getting smoked too.

Northern Indiana is crying for rain so bad, everything is brown, the grass is dying and exposing bare dirt underneath, I have never seen it this bad since moving here 7 years ago.
We desperately need rain in Cincinnati! There is a small town here that last week barely had any water left in their reservoir. It looks like we will be on week three of no rain.

I’m in northeast Greensboro N.C. and honestly….where I am right now, the radar is showing the darker part already over us as I’m commenting this but we actually haven’t gotten any heavy rains, at least that I know of because I woke up around 8:00 and it was wet outside but the rain took a break. Now I suspect that the rain will definitely pick up towards the evening as well as the wind (anything over 20 miles per hour scares me.) My only real concern is tornadoes since that’s my biggest fear.
Same here as well the wind is what scares me. Last Nov we had some damaging wind in VA and broke massive branches off and totaled my wife's car then I had to pay 5k to cut down a massive tree that was leaning real bad
