Bryan (and team) - THANKS for sharing your extensive tropical weather experience … Your reports really are beneficial (especially for those of us new to this experience) … THANKS AGAIN
Very helpful about where to park cars! Thank you! And, loved the idea of lining the bathtub with the painter’s drop cloth! I filled our bathtub one time, without lining it, and it did leak out even with the drain plugged.
Something thst is eating me with disappointment is that there are no request for landlords to safeguard the safety of their tennants. My dsughter lives in a private community in a townhouse and surrounding the apts. tall big old trees that create a hazard in these kind of weather everybody is facing now. The hurricane season starts on june so they have enough time to start prunning those branches. For that reason and the treath it represents they are leaving somewhere else. Isn't that a shame Sweepstake Ct. in Palm Harbor administration?
when there is a mandatory evacuation why don't local authorities close south bound traffic mainly on a two lane highway and use both lanes to have traffic flow easier
@@connorboushell2295 it's a great idea, as long as no one is coming in the other direction. This would especially would work on US 1, heading out of the KEYS in Florida, it's only two lanes North and South. Maybe they do it... I've just never seen it and hear how backed up traffic is.
You are just south of me. Stay in a safe shelter away from windows. Have water batteries, candles, canned food, and maybe a power bank for your devices. Line your clean bathtub with something to be sure the drain is plugged and fill it with water when storm is nearly at your door.
?: I don’t want to distract from Florida. I am praying for them. I also want to prepare up in Charleston, SC. Is there any chance Ian moves into the Atlantic, re-strengthens, and makes a second landfall in SC or Georgia?
Storm surge has always been measured from daily high tide, yet some many reports say measured from the ground. This is a huge difference! Can you clear this up?
The storm surge is in the direction of the winds. For instance, it a hurricane moves from Gulf of Mexico ACROSS Florida due east.. there will be a ocean recession
I have a Disney trip planned for Saturday and and my flight is Friday morning. I’m not sure what to do about that. My flight has not been cancelled and I don’t know much about hurricanes.
Well due to the fact Disney will be closed and airports are likely to close I would say plan your next Florida trip outside of hurricane season. Sorry. That is why it's so cheap this time of year.
Besides, Disney sucks. Visit Busch Gardens/Sea World. Disney is getting too woke. It's almost time for them to pack it in and focus on California. Perhaps they will build a new park right outside Bohemian Grove... Dirtbags.
Depends on if the ground is already saturated or not. If the ground is dry, the rain will not absorb very quickly and cause runoff very quick. Also it depends on the rainfall rate. A downpour of as little as 2 inches per hour can cause severe flooding on dry ground
Bryan Norcross is the best. His forecast during hurricane Andrew saved me and my daughter.
He was epic….during that storm, night and day….he was sleep deprived even…
I’ll never forget listening to Bryan during hurricane Andrew. He was with us through the entire storm informing us. God bless him.

I don’t want to distract from Florida. I am praying for them. I also want to prepare up in Charleston, SC. Is there any chance Ian moves into the Atlantic, re-strengthens, and makes a second landfall in SC or Georgia?
I suggest you do some light prepping while your shelves are stocked. Then wait and see.

Storm surge has always been measured from daily high tide, yet some many reports say measured from the ground. This is a huge difference! Can you clear this up?
He did clear it up & said the storm surge is measured from the regular high tide mark and goes up from there.
Q- What about South Carolina
Agreed. I’d love 5 minutes from every hour of hurricane coverage. Looks like it will be here Friday. Coming up quickly.
As long as the forecaster can say GULF of Mexico, not ⛳️ GOLF of Mexico, he’s my guy
Been raining 2 days In broward County
Which side of a hurricane is the side you do not want the surge to be on?
The storm surge is in the direction of the winds. For instance, it a hurricane moves from Gulf of Mexico ACROSS Florida due east.. there will be a ocean recession
Don't worry about Florida guys. This ain't our first rodeo. We got this. You don't even have to hold my beer.
I have a Disney trip planned for Saturday and and my flight is Friday morning. I’m not sure what to do about that. My flight has not been cancelled and I don’t know much about hurricanes.
I don’t think you’ll enjoy this trip. A lot of rain will stop you. I don’t know if Disney will be able to run the activities in the parks. Good luck!
