would you mind reacting to killing me inside reunion - tormented ( live at synchronize fest 2019).it is emo anthem song from indonesia.they reunited after 12 years
Arguably the Maids most complex song. Jules, what’s really amazing is that Kanami basically composed a wild, crazy instrumental song and then, somehow, Saiki and Miku came up with these incredible vocal harmonies and vocal arrangement to fit over Kanami’s controlled madness. And, yes, I agree it definitely works and is a powerhouse of a song. Next? - “Don’t Tell Me” - official live video Take care and rock on! 🔥🤘🏼🎸🥁🎤🎶🌏😎✌🏼
Fun reaction Jules. In this song, it's actually the transitions that drive the listeners experience. Kanami writes her guitar parts when she writes the song and the vocal melody along with some programmed drum and bass parts. Then Akane and Misa rewrite their parts, Miku writes lyrics, and Saiki and Miku work out vocal arrangements. So the guitar's role in the song is envisioned from the beginning. Kanami gets better and better as a songwriter. I can't wait to hear what's next.
"This is what we are going to do, Kanami do whatever you want" You do realise Kanami is the main composer? And she composes on piano! This venue "Eggman" is to Band-Maid what the Cavern is to The Beatles. It's where they cut their teeth when starting out as a band. Eggman is a tiny underground Japanese Live House (named after a Beatles lyric). They played there so often in their early years (usually half empty) that the staff joked they should just move in! This is when they went back to their roots and played there again in 2022. Tickets were like gold dust. Luckily they livestreamed the concert!
I'm not sure that Eggman is "tiny". Its capacity is well over 300 (standing), which is certainly not tiny by Tokyo standards. B-M have played in much smaller clubs. Also, Nippon Columbia, not Nippon Crown, were the original owners of Eggman, but it's been individually owned for some years.
@@otobokegaijin6218 Online it says 350 capacity all, which would include bands and workers, so they sell 300 tickets. I would still call that small or tiny. BM still plays some places around that size in outlying areas of Japan as well, but in Tokyo that is quite the intimate setting for Band Maid. During the last three US tours, BM never played anywhere that small. They played a few 800 or so capacity clubs in more backwater towns like Boston and Phoenix, AZ. Maybe Live Nation was testing the market in cities they'd never performed in? Most of their servings centered around the 1800-2300 theater size. Houston, TX had 3450 this last time as the previous tour sold out so fast.
Shibuya Eggman is a tiny club, historically important for Band-Maid's career. They played there the end of 2022 because they're friends with the owner. Tickets were very, very difficult to get. The whole show is streamable on Band-Maid Prime.
They held most of their 2023 Japan tour at small venues. This wonderful performance is at full volume, with many venues having a capacity of 400 to 600 people. The venue was filled with music, singing, and cheering.
The Ladies had their own sound engineer on the board. And Eggman is I think 250 capacity. In the past the Ladies have performed for less than 20 people to over THOUSANDS in 63 countries through Streaming. One of their on-line streams had views from 63 countries.
Jules! Hey man, I'm not sure this is what you really wanted to be doing, but honestly I'm glad you're back doing reactions. You really are good at them.
Jules.. so glad that you are back to reacting to Band Maid once again.. as an accomplished musician yourself, your insights and analysis are spot on and honest.. thank you..!
(Edit: Got my timeline screwed up, "Corallium" was the "Sense" B-side.) This okyuji was from the 2022 _tune-up_ tour before heading to the US for a month-long coast-to-coast marathon. Remember, before these lives they had not appeared in front of an audience since February of 2020. During that span they had written, recorded and released an album, "Unseen World", that they had not been able to tour. Also they had been disappointed of their _we have arrived_ moment at Nippon Budokan, forced to take their setlist to a livestream concert with no audience. Others will mention the importance of the venue to the band, Eggman was the last stop of their warmup. Thanks for the reaction!
Always enjoy your Band-Maid reactions. Suggest any of their latest live official videos like Don't you tell ME, NO GOD, or Puzzle. Or perhaps Shambles MV which is anime related.
Jules, good to see you back reacting to Band-Maid. Funny that you say the same things with Band-Maid but like them it is how you say it that makes it interesting. Plus your facial expressions communicate a hell of a lot while your listening/watching. If your wanting suggestions please add to your list: Don’t You Tell Me B-M at Yokohama and Sokoninaru. Thanks again
To my understanding Saiki is credited with the lyrics, ususally it's Miku doing the lyrics. She also wrote the lyrics for HATE? and if you haven't heard that watch the live version from Lalapalooza 2023. Welcome to the prog version of Band Maid.
When I first heard this song on the album I was not that interested, mostly because of the mix. But after the Eggman version dropped it quickly became one of my favourites. Everything is on full display here.
The harmonies!!! This is a favorite! Did you know this was a B side? Have you done the "Don't You Tell Me Live" yet? It's a must see. Kanami doing Kanami stuff, MISA doing MISA stuff...
Thanks for watching! What do I react to next? Comment and let me know!

Miku give him credit ...
I would really like to see you reacting to Band-Maid From Now On. It’s their latest instrumental track and I think you’re going to love it!

Yesss the transitions are so intriguing.

Yeah, it's true that 99% of this stuff begins in Kanami's crazy, genius mind. 👍
Venue is owned by their old label Nippon Crown as well. So home court in Shibuya city
Very cool! Didn't know that about the venue!

Thank you thank you! I do enjoy them for sure! I do like doing gaming/anime stuff as well. My youtube will be home to all kinds of stuff together!
Talk about a sophisticated hard rock song and execution... Corallium and Band-Maid is it! Thx, Jules!
Jules.. so glad that you are back to reacting to Band Maid once again.. as an accomplished musician yourself, your insights and analysis are spot on and honest.. thank you..!
Appreciate it!
Thanks for reaction and observations, considering BM's catalog quantity and quality...this is one of my favorites, a sonically wonderous joyride :)
Love this song !! Now react too " Don't You Tell Me, " from the 13000 seat Yokohama arena.
😏♥️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘

Eggman might have the best mix of all their recorded concerts. Although Yokohama sounds quite promising based on the early releases.
This Eggman show has been declared a Japanese National Treasure. (by me anyway - I'm not Japanese but I declare it anyway)
Yes, their songs keep me interested and exhilarated. And if it plays 3 or 4 times in a row I'm OK with that. Peace. 1.8

eyy yes one of my all time band maid faves. dunno what it is but this beautiful speedy choas just does it for me ^^
Lyrics by Saiki on this one. 😉

This is a special club. They supported the band when they were first trying to make a name for themselves.

Also, you need to check out "The Warning" Three sisters from Mexico. Three little Mexican girls can't rock... can they?
@@Prober61 ooo I'll look them up!
