Eggman is a tiny live house in Shibuya Tokyo. Eggman is to Band-Maid what the Cavern is to the Beatles. It's where the Maids cut their teeth back in the day, often playing to a half empty hall. They played there so often the staff joked they should just move in. This is from September 2022 when they went back to play where they started out. It's tiny and tickets were like goldust. As for the name Eggman I think it comes from a Beatles lyric in the song "I Am the Walrus" "I am the egg man They are the egg men I am the walrus Goo goo g'joob"
Got some of that goldust. As you say, "Eggman" comes from "I am the Walrus", and when Club Eggman put on a 35th anniversary concert at Budokan in February 2017, which I saw, that was the closing song. Band-Maid didn't take part in that celebration but saw them at Eggman in the months before and after that, as well as in Sept. '22.
Thanks guys for continuing to dive in deep on Band-Maid. I appreciate it, and just so you know, they do go on YT and watch the reactions to see what people think of their music.....have you had a chance to see "GIOVANNI ".. there is a live version along with a white background instrumental version where you can really see how much the vocals overlay the musical lines that you never realized were there
Saiki has a powerful voice and rock voice as you described - however she conveys so much emotions when she sing, it hits you especially when you hear her voice live. Her soft voice is airy and beautiful too. Miku is an excellent singer but shines more in different kind of songs to be honest. BTW Saiki will be celebrating her 30th birthday tomorrow, February 8th.
Miku is Band-Maid's primary lyricist, but Saiki wrote the lyrics for 'Corallium'. Misa is very much the shy girl in Band-Maid and this may be why she hides in the corner in her "Ninja Assassin Maid" outfit. Misa is actually very good on guitar and she and Kanami write riffs for each other.
I’m the Eggman. Drivin’ around. King of this town. Always got MY windows rolled down. - Beastie Boys What an amazing performance. CORALLIUM is peak BAND-MAID. You also heard a pre-recorded KOBATO track in the mix. SAIKI’s phrasing is incomparable.
Corallium is the scientific genus name for species of precious coral or red coral frequently used for jewelry. Not quite as weird a song title as HGK which is the acronym for a Turkish precision guidance kit, Hassas Güdüm Kiti. (It turns a dumb bomb into a guided smart bomb.)
Miku has a greater octave range than Saiki, on both the high and low ends. Saiki has more power in her vocals (she's far from monotone, btw). They actually complement each other extremely well.
Great reaction but have to disagree about your comments about Saiki. She has a highly emotive and melodic voice. She just doesn't have the high range and the ability to scream like Miku. Watch Wonderland and tell me she has a monotone voice. Cheers
Thank you Pulp... I agree ! Saiki & Miku make one very impressive voice. I found Cluppo 's solo effort to be outstanding. I hope one day to see Saiki do a similar project ! ♥️🇯🇵

Nice one, thanks 👍🍻
Very interesting! That’s very cool that they go back to their starting place!

Miku and Saiki's voices both compliment each other and provide a contrast, pretty much a perfect duo. IMO Saiki owned this show, she was on fire.
And she is doing it while complementîng Kanami as ryhtm guitarist… this woman is amazing.
Guys, "Corallium" has SO MANY subtle nuances to it. It is one song worth listening to many times to pick out new things you didn't hear before.
Band Maid is blessed with two very skilled, yet different, singers. It took the 2021 acoustic concert for me to see how good they both are.
Corallium. Tough and pretty. 🪸 Maids. Tough and pretty, Po! 🕊️
Corallium is perhaps my favorite Band-Maid song !!
😏♥️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘

We can definitely look into Giovanni! Thanks for your suggestion!
Much love!

It will take many HOURS to break down the tiny bits of excellence from this song.
Saiki has a powerful voice and rock voice as you described - however she conveys so much emotions when she sing, it hits you especially when you hear her voice live.
Her soft voice is airy and beautiful too. Miku is an excellent singer but shines more in different kind of songs to be honest.

Well happy belated birthday to her!!

Corallium is like a very complicated puzzle box. Band-Maid just took it apart for you and now you have to put it back together.

Oh wow lol

Miku's low register sounds lower than what it is. Miku can go higher and sounds more comfortable with high range than low.
They really do compliment each other very well. Amazing vocal duo!

@@frankandre4385It's okay you love Miku and Cluppo. I am not into her side project but I know Miku is a great singer too.
Well thank you for your suggestion! We will look into it! Just to clarify I meant that more towards the song
Much love!
