It's all fun and games, untill you piss off a Great House, and they hire the Kell Hounds to come after you.(Or a Clan decides they have had enough, and Declares a Trial of Anhillation on you).

In BattleTech pirates are treated with kid gloves. Historically pirates weren't tollerated because they were a threat to revenue collection. They usually died brutally
Oh man there is no shortage of piracy villainy here I don't know who too join they do sound interesting each party Of them but one's going to back stabbed each other for dominance are another who's arrogantly get his pirates destroyed oh boy I'll stick to the long John silver type yar but pirates in 3:12 in the video has an interesting way of fighting knowing they can fall off or kickback force, from an explosion knocks them off and if my weary tired eyes didn't perceive me🤔🧐 that look like a ninja jumping at that group of pirate's oh yeah that's why I love pirates yar
As characteristic as such a trait has been for at least several real piracy historic figures, Paula “Lady” Death's arrogance through the narrative is nigh-insufferable and teeth-gritting grating. Er, as a loyal citizen of any Periphery state, of course. Exacerbated by this info primarily or entirely being dumped through her own personalized record. Her success at her pirate's goals notwithstanding. Indeed, that was likely accomplished by her being such a hard bitch. Why, pirate queen Trevaline, is a partnership based on lies the best kind? “Bloody” James (I-can-only-guess-at-spelling-his-last-name) is another very pirate-y name. Accumulation or not, I don't know that I'd want to be a member of the Death's Consorts...but then, I haven't been a pirate before. The personalized insignia of the Band of the Damned, using a centralized initial “V” from their own leader's first name, is more funny than boasting. Combining theft with feudal samurai-era tactics yet not necessarily inspired from Japanese-and-area pirates. Petty king Morrison and his Extractors sound like a despicable group; typical of the hard realities contradicting any fantasies of life in pracy. That boss sounds like he takes the assumed title of nobility far too seriously. With his 'Mech obsession, I didn't hear any mention of a BattleMech made out of or covered in gold. No Midas 'Mech for him? Referencing the New Belt Pirates, I also want to know why One-Eye Suzy has adopted that nickname if she's a two-eyed sociopath. I figure that such a pirate partnership was bound to fail; such a break-up being only a matter of time. Too bad, as I like their logo and uniform colour scheme. Of course the creators at FASA had to include a space Tortuga to this subject. I guess that's a fitting acknowledgement; more so than in 40K. The Fusiliers' (a second group so named in BattleTech?) “All-Commander” sounds like she holds to her own brand of honour, to a fault for a space pirate. Although, she IS one of the notable, ongoing figures in one of the more prominent, therefore successful, pirate bands. Thank you for filling in yet more of this seemingly secondary, even overlooked aspect to existence within the BattleTech universe. The general subject of piracy has been a longtime interest of mine and this info was embellished with many details reflecting both true piracy facts and ongoing romanticizations. Informative AND entertaining, as usual. Since there exists even more lore, outside of any novels even, I'd be glad to learn of all of that, too. 'Til then, when you sign back on with whatever follow-up you decide upon, GDN, have an awesome and healthy week.
Great video.
Shiver me timber and power up the jump engines. It's time to go plundering.
God, guns, and Battletech. Thank you, good sir. This will go great with my kids pirate campaign.
Have fun!
Yaaar! Thanks for the video.
Oh you definitely have to do a pirates band part 2. Love the pirates in BattleTech.
Yeah there were more of them than I thought.

Or a raid doesn't pan out and you're left at the mercy of the locals

The Black Marauder is also a pirate tale. Mixed with "40K Chaos" evil infecting a Marauder.
