  • Did an upgrade to my Keychron Q1. I opted for the slightly heavier Gateron Jupiter Banana switches.
These are the creamiest tactile switches I've tried thus far!

Can you tell us what mods did you do? These sound so good! I hope the Q6 Max sounds as good as this with the same switches

As someone who has a Q6 Max with these switches, I can confirm that it sounds even better than this. One thing I suggest is to get some nice thick keycaps and it will sound amazing. I have snow caps on mine and they sound amazing.

What keycaps did you use for this keyboard

What made you choose this keyboard over the other ones that keychron offers? I am looking to buy a new keyboard and keychron is on my list however, there are so many options to choose from.

I wanted a 75% keyboard and I heard great things about the Q1 from other content creators. I've had two iterations of the Q1 and modded this one. I also like the premium build of this one compared to say the K2 or some of their cheaper options

If you look through Keychron's line of keyboards you'll notice that the Q line is more expensive and packs a few more quality features that someone looking to spend a bit more money will appreciate, such as build quality and sturdiness. You get that from the double-gasket design, the full-metal build and more little things that are different across the different lines (e.g. Q vs K vs V)
The heavier keyboard will have a better (or different, depending who you ask) sound profile and make for a more pleasurable typing experience, in my opinion.

@@brandonantone1 K2 is a cheaper option now? the k2 v2 used to cost the same price and I bought it for 115 euro in the Netherlands (from a local store). Planning on getting this keyboard but probably with reds, I thought the bananas would be linear like yellow switches usually are but they aren't. Kind of a shame since red sounds like garbage. So I figured I'd just buy some black ink v2's .. what the f happened lol. They used to cost like 60 euro for 90. Now they are a 90 / 100 euro for 90

@@3choblast3r4 The K2s are a cheaper line but I've heard good things about them. I'd go for a V2 or Pro one if I'm going with the K line.

@@brandonantone1 Already have a k2 mate. It was one of my first mechanical boards and I've loved it ever since, because the bluetooth on it is so reliable. Today I spilled water over it and I'm not sure it's going to survive yet. It probably will but it was an excuse to buy the v1 max. (ps. k2v2 is 75% and the V2 is weirdly 65%, the V1 is the 75% one)
