I like responding to questions in the comments but sometimes they are repeats.
What do you guys think about if I made a segment at the end of each video where I answer a few questions from the comments so everyone can see them?
personally, i would do it in a seperate video, (Q&A type of style). I tink this because most people click on a video to watch what the title basically says (not clickbait :P). and in this case people are here to learn an x-cross. I think they would not watch the end of the video because it doesnt serve purpose for the x-cross video. (unless ofcourse, you only answer questions about xcross)

I have a few questions myself: could you tell us more about how long you have been cubing for, how long it took you to learn full olls and plls, or how long it took you to get sub-20 and then sub-10...

I always feel so motivated to practice after watching your videos. In just 2 weeks, I was able to get my average down from 22 seconds down to 19 seconds. Never underestimate the power of practice! 💯💯💯
The first time I heard about X cross I thought it was too advanced for me. But after a few tens of thousands of solves you start noticing you can do stuff like this, mainly after you hear about keyhole, and study other methods. This actually look fairly simple now, but as you said, it isn't something you can easily do everything single solve (you can if you really want but it won't be worth it).

Scramble 4 was really useful to me. I had already known how to preserve pairs, a solved corner, and a solved edge, but never had I thought of influencing an edge with a corner while doing an Xcross!

J Perm and also since you deserve more subs for all the hard work and quality of your videos if you make a beginners method tutorial I can share the video with my friends because some of them want to learn how to solve a Rubik’s cube and if you make it simple they might learn cfop and watch more of your videos. Sorry for the long comments though and I hope you don’t get annoyed because you get lots of notifications from the comments but that’s pretty much it.
I have a beginner tutorial, although it's not as easy to find by searching since it's not quite as popular yet. it's called learn to solve a Rubik's cube in 10 minutes

1:58 yeah when I was using cube station when I scrambled I got a white edge attached with the f2l pair and attached with the center and I got lucky because of the cross and x cross solution and I got a new pb of 22 seconds

Just learn roux method and practice that then mix cfop and roux for x cross.

Just one quick question: Is it okay to make a 2x2 block before doing the cross every time and go straight into f2l from there? This can lead to good lookahead and solid times.

I don't think it's worth it to do every time since the goal of the cross is to eliminate D edges from look ahead as soon as possible, and remove R2, F2, L2 moves to make finger tricks better. If you can somehow always plan the 2x2x2 + cross every time in inspection, then go for it. otherwise, just do it when it's easy
@@JPerm How many moves should the block take? It is pretty obvious that inserting the last edges of the cross will take 3 - 4 moves on average.
That is why I want to make sure that I can do the blocks with regard to efficiency.
you don't always have to make the block first, most of these x-cross examples don't do that
