The rare, armour plated pangolin had the perfect defence tactic:roll up into a ball and stay there - whatever happens. The hapless lion appeared confused by its spherical prey, as it batted the creature about with its paws and even tried to carry it around in its mouth. When caught by large predators such as lions they work their muscles into a cutting action to lacerate the mouths of their adversaries. The injuries caused can be serious for the animal attempting to eat the pangolin. Pangolins survive by using their sensitive tongues, which can grow up to 16 inches long, to probe ant nests and termite mounds to eat the insects inside.

Fun fact: Pangolin scales are made of keratin, the same martial in rhino horns and our fingernails

And they are also really sharp so predators might accidentally cut themselves when trying to eat the pangolin :D

Well I read in an article that between 2006-2018 humans have killed more than 1 million pangolins (being killed for their scales, meat, etc)
And humans are panicking just because 1000+ have died because of their own ignorance.

Pangolin was clearly limping on it's right front paw(?) after the encounter, so claiming it wasn't hurt at all or that it's armor is "impenetrable" is a bit of a stretch.
Not limping, probably just sneaking slowly, plus they’re bipedal a lot of the time.

There are a lot of openings where they could`ve penetrate with their claws. Think they just liked to play with it, or couldn`t figure it out.
Wrong. This is simply an impenetrable defense. The Keratin is not only extremely insoluble, solid, naturally slick and hard to bite, if you look closely, you can see the scales over lapping the skin meaning once this thing rolls up, there are no openings for the lion to get a complete, all around bite to do damage. And even judging by the looks of its skin, that looks like it might be pretty tough too. I can guarantee you won't find a single video of an adult Pangolia being killed by a big cat.
Plus as soon as that lion a gets a good bite at of that armor and those scales will do horrible damage to their mouth that they will never forget the pangolin again.
Pangolins are no match to ordinary hunting dogs ..
Dogs are specially trained to target weak spots. Lions are pretty dumb. If a human have control over the lion body they will easily eat the pangolin.
