Great tips! Also, I'm postmenopausal. Whole body warm just to get through the day is mandatory.

If I don't warm up before squatting heavy, my knees kill me. Doing Goblet squats usually is enough. Only issue is I might be doing too much. 3x12
Kinda feel tired when doing Hack Squats. The good thing is my knees don't hurt. Perhaps I need to drop it to 2x8

Thanks! Can you warm up and then not do the activity for an hour? I just mean can I warm up at home and then be ready for my class at the gym 45 minutes to an hour later? I think I know the answer to this… no? Have you covered what you should eat before and after a strenuous workout?

Whenever the camera pans to football/soccer players who are worth millions of dollars they're all doing static stretching before a match, they also ice injuries...another thing the 'internet' tells you to avoid!

Yeah it is very common for people to do things like this! Those athletes have very long warm ups before matches so they very well may to some static stretching during their warm up. Ice is also interesting because it can definitely help in terms of acute injuries with initial pain and to blunt the initial overwhelming inflammatory response. We just don't want to be relying on it day after day for injury recovery.
