Hi, so the effect Stereo Imager function is creating "stereo" sound from a mono input. And the Stereo Enhancer is make the stereo effect wider/stronger?
Also, to use this effect do the instruments have to be setup in as stereo link channel input? I.e. electric guitar needs stereo plugin channels 5 and 6 to utilize the the stereo enhancer? Or will it work on mono channels panned slightly left and right?
What does the stereo enhancer do that I can't already do with pan though? We established that just boosting highs, mids and lows is probably better on the EQ... I'd have thought that using pan to control your stereo mix is a better option too.
Exactly! I would much prefer using channel or bus EQ instead of this effect. That way we can save the effects rack for really useful plugins such as the Leisure Compressor, Fair Compressor or even the Combinator. One thing that the stereo enhancer would help is say you have a stereo output from a keyboard that you wanted to be more separated from the center, you can use the 'spread' knob to expand the stereo space more than you could with just panning the channels left and right. Great question!
you could also use a the Fairchild Comp in M/S and boost the sides and/or compress the Mid. I think the enhancer works the best at the stereo bus just to give the stereo track overall width and eq. another good spot is if you want to make a reverb or chorus really wide. I find this is more of a mix tool and not something I ever use for live sound.
Sure but you could also record the main mix and overdub again if needed .. like in the old TAPE Recording Days where this overdub was the "normal" job over and over again
VCAs are not carrying audio, they are merely a remote control for your faders. What you need is a mixbus, configured as a subgroup. Route all vocals into the subgroup (don't forget to unassign them from the LR Main mix) and insert the Plugin there. Note: If you want to pan the vocals, you will need to link two mixbuses to create a stereo subgroup. Hope this helps.
Basically, this is just awesome software in a slow little computer. Yamaha has made it, it always wondered me why is it like 250x times costlier than the single X32 Because they are emulated in a very high level, while the behringer isn’t the best emulated
if you use all the X32 fx in the right way .. no other plugins needed (for simple homerecording) .. I was thinking what a UAD Console would cost with all this features and plugins inside... 10000$ lol
that hair makes you look like a dr suess charachter. thanks for the vids
Christopher Darlington haha! That’s exactly what I was thinking. This guy is really smart, but he’s trying way too hard to be cool and relevant t. SMH
Have you done a video on using the X32 stereo precision limiter?

Спасибо Вам всем
Muy buenos tus tutoríales ,estaría bueno si podes hacer más de los efectos que trae la x32 en su libreria
How did you get your name in the display, dBB NRCC Play in the display?? Nice vids, thank you!!
I could use the effects on the x32 like a mastering chain for the main mix right?

Can you put the FX on VCA sends? Would be nice to just put one deesser over all the vocals just because I'm going to be using the XR18! Thanks Drew!

What’s the difference between mix and Bus
I know Bus vs DCA tho
thumbs up!
Do you plan on also doing videos of the time based effects?
Yes I do!
So... Its an EQ.
No.

I would never use this on the entire LR mix, only on a specific instrument.
What's happened to his hair and eye?
Your doing a video about sound and the sound quality is horrible... Echo and "s" hiss are 👎
Look at the camera.
