So far my favorite effect for vocals, I like reverb with a little more body, not so bright, but not muddy, so I normally I cut some of the lows and highs and this effect has worked very well for me
What a great effect!!! Thank you, Drew, for sharing this tutorial!!! I'm from São Luís-MA, Brazil, and I'll try to use this effect at my church. God bless you!!!
Thanks for the detailed explanation of controls, like the specific frequencies of the time/low multiplier controls. None of that information is in the documentation for the M32/X32--do those numbers come from the original EMT manual?
Hi Drew, excellent video and tutorial. I am a drummer and always had other people doing sound for me, now I have the chance to be in the console. I notice here that you are applying effect to the whole drum mix, do you do any individual effect to each drum part before doing the whole drum mix? what would be the best practice? Thanks GB
This is one of the reverbs that I hate, as it is impossible to get rid of flutter. Same goes for the Vintage Room. Thankfully, the other choices give me pretty much what I am looking for.
Hi, Great video and very helpfull. Question, is it possible for any effects to be use from outside ? I mean as an example out and from an hard rack effect ? Thanks
Drew, Great tutorial. Any thoughts on what verbs you use for vocalists and how you would use them? You always do great effects tutorials for drums and instruments but i'd love to see another take on how to dial in reverb on vocalists.
Very good Luke! Thanks for your comment! The only issue with vocals is finding something that isn't licensed, it is easy to have instruments in my videos, but the vocals part is where UA-cam starts having a few issues with copyright. I have been churning my gears trying to figure that part out and I have a few ideas! With that being said, a great setting for a vocal reverb would be to have a shorter pre-delay (20-30ms) with around a 1second to 1.8 second decay time depending on the song. Remember that with a vocal reverb you are just trying to add a bit of ambiance to help the vocals sit with the music. You can also make a separate vocal reverb for background vocals, have this a bit higher in the mix with a longer pre-delay (30-60ms) and a tid bit longer of a decay time, doing this will help give a bit more depth to the mix and push the background vocals to sounding a little farther away from the lead vocals. Hope this helps!
Hi Drew, Thanks for the great video tutorials. I do not understand how to get a different reverb level on 2 different channels, for example I would like a heavy reverb on the lead vocal and a light reverb on the snare, both from the vintage reverb on bus 14. But when I turn up the reverb on vocal my snare reverb increases or when I turn down my reverb on the snare the reverb decreases on the vocal, what am I doing wrong or how can I get what I want? Thank you, Ed
Can you show this set up with menus in the picture all the time? Can anyone give me accurate information regarding the set up Behgringer X32 as follows. We have no separate audio engineers in front of the stage. We have a midi pedal where we Switch between scenes. We have eight scenes where we only want to mute between various groups of instruments and different effects between each scene. Otherwise, we don`t want to change anything betwen the scenes. Can anyone say what submenus/menus we are to enable or disable in. It should be easy but we and many other bands have the same question.
hi, I have question, if I use high amount of effects (sush as reverb, delay) for vocal- channel1, then I didn't send it to monitor-1 , but I've already send another vocal-channel2 for same monitor-1, and I added effect on this monitor-1, so that the monitor-1 will play sound from channel-2 and also will play effect from channel-1 but seems to be sends channel-1 & channel-2 on monitor-1 whatever I send them or not on this monitor..!? is that normal or there is settings for effect feedback which can stop sending sound for channels not played on an monitor?
I'm so glad I found you on UA-cam! you have been SO HELPFUL for me. I run sound at my church and got the x32 about 2.5 years ago.
NICE Jonathan! Glad to be a help!

Drew, all your tutorials are great. thanks!
I wonder if you do different customize presets just for vocals?
for karaoke.
Thanks for your video... very helpful. Can I be guided on what is best used on a vintage reverb. Example, adding my entire drums set or selected few.

Is there an option to have balanced stereo reverb? For example, if you have balanced toms and you want reverb as balanced as tom channels.
Drew!! You have killed it all... but I just wanna know how to use the GEQ on the X32....
Thank you for the video😊
Excellent

Using Sends on Fader, adjust how much of each channel (fader) is being sent to Bus 14

Great Video How did you mute cretin instruments?
What would be the best fx processor in the X32 Behringer to use to achieve a chorus effect similar to the voices used in the "ABBA" recordings?
Inflation now…
Hi Andrea,
Why I always see your level be peaked (red) above -18?
