    Thank you guys so much for your patience in me making this video I know it has been three months since I last discussed Domonic possibly having autism but you guys have been his biggest cheerleaders and we love you so much. Thank you guys for making this process so much easier and for excepting Domonic as he is I cannot wait until Domonic realizes how much love he has around the world we truly appreciate you guys and for every autism parent out there you are truly amazing and so are our children. Keep striving for the best! #ProudAutismParent #AutismAwareness

      I’m sooo happy he was diagnosed early. I have a 15 year old non-verbal autistic son. He wasn’t diagnosed until 4 1/2 and I feel we lost so much time. He will be fine. God only gives special children to special parents. It will be challenging but you will be fine. Support groups help also. I’m willing to listen as well.. prayers to you and Dominic

      Alexis Surrell I think they should be treated differently, not in the sense that you should feel sorry for them or anything, but they think and learn different. My brother has 1 child with autism and one without. How we interact and treat them are different, but not in a bad way just in a different way. And that’s ok, it’s ok to be different ❤️

      I have a question. I have a cousin who has autism. Very disrespectful to his mother, hits animals, ANY time he doesn't get what he wants screams beyond belief, very disrespect to random people, I tried to tell his mother to tell him to stop yelling at ME because he was making me feel very uncomfortable. He is 6 btw. His mom was trying to say that he has autism and that is okay. Is it okay? I really need advice

      My granddaughter goes for her evaluation on Friday. I'm the one who noticed something was off (she wasn't talking and was regressing with things she used to be able to do.). That was a year ago and we've had a speech pathologist, etc. since then. But I don't know what to expect. I don't know what it will mean. I'm so scared for my grandbaby. I love her and would gladly surrender my life for her. Her mom works 12 hour days so she's with me most of the time. But she is so loving and loves playing with kids. She has irrational fears that are hard to understand sometimes. But anyway, now I"m just rambling. Thanks for sharing. You give me hope.

    • @MsCreateHer
      @MsCreateHer 5 років тому +1

      Bazan Mi that doesn’t sound like autism but the spectrum is quite vast. It really more so just sounds like a discipline problem. The fits that my child has had was reared with disciple and the things he used to do, he doesn’t anymore.

    • @MsCreateHer
      @MsCreateHer 5 років тому +1

      Michelle Taylor that’s how my baby started out...wasn’t doing the things he used to. Everyone kept telling me “he’s just a boy and learning other things” but I knew something wasn’t right. Turns out, because he used to get sick a lot as a baby, his inner ear wasn’t draining and he couldn’t hear! Once we got that established, we had to work with his delay to get him up to speed. He still avoids eye contact and has some moments to retaining certain tasks but once he gets something, he gets it! It’s a learning road ahead but I’m sure he and your little one will make full “recoveries”.

    My brother is high functioning autistic as well and he's my inspiration for majoring in psychology! My brother started talking fully at 3 and initially we thought he was deaf before tests ruled that out, of course. Long story short it was also hard for my mom to accept and she was always very protective of him as any mother is over her children, but eventually her protectiveness caused him to be more dependent than what he's capable of, so continue to be the great, involved mother you are! Just make sure you allow him to learn and thrive to his full potential as you discussed because he's only as strong and capable as his support system! I've followed you since facebook days and you've grown into an AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL person and mother! Continue being true to yourself and Wick!! I LOVE YOU!!!

    My older brother has autism and trust me it will be hard, but what things in life aren't? Not to mention, some people with autism have special talents that make them even more unique. My older brother (15) can remember every single line from a TV episode after watching it once , without reading captions or a script. And a lot of other autistic kids are really smart, literally have me struggling to catch up to them in class. Your boy is a beautiful gift from God, and he always has a plan. I’m an ABA ( Applied Behavior Analysis ) therapist, and I work with kids who have autism. Between the ages of 2 all the way to 15 and so we focus on Applied behavior analysis as a form of treatment , and I study behavior in order to put into place appropriate behavioral interventions. So ABA uses positive reinforcement in order to increase desirable behavior and improve skills of the kiddo. I’ve just got into the field but, I’ve heard a lot of stories my clients parents told me and it beautiful , how they’ve seen improvements with their kiddos, the kiddos social skills are improving and learning independence. I truly think your son would benefit greatly from ABA therapy. Kiddos with autism are geniuses no doubt 100% always alwaysssss embrace that ! I love you btw ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Thank you for sharing. I’m a young mom and my daughter has a rare diagnosis (doesn’t have a name, doctors here don’t know anyone else with it) , she has mental and physical delays at 6 years old. It was hard to process at first and open up about but now I know I’m not the only mom going through something like this. It’s crazy how many people can relate. The more I open up to people/clients (I’m a nail tech) I’ve gotten so much more information. I’ve met parents, teachers, drivers, principals, who have all worked with kids with special needs. I haven’t talked much about my daughter on my channel but I hope too. Last year I felt lonely (even with my husband & daughter) and this year after opening up with others I feel like a different person. I hope to share our story and be relatable to those who think they’re on their own. Thanks again for sharing, your not alone and It’s okay to be sad sometimes too, keep your head up 💕

    Honestly I kind of knew/saw he had autism when he was really small. He reminds me so much of my brother and he also has high functioning autism. He was delayed in talking and had a speech impediment. Fast forward he’s now 24 has a job, and talks better than me lol. Really he talks too damn much now lol. We’re still working on the driving part, but I can say he still does play with LEGO’s and still makes different noise or sound affects from when he was small because it comforts him. When he was small he would only like to play by himself, barely had friends, but he finally found a friend!!!! I was so happy 😀 . He a very blunt straight to the point person. We still be scared sometimes on what will come out this man’s mouth lol, but he’s the sweetest person ever. Took me a while to understand why he was so different, but it showed me how to love and understand all walks of life.
