So many people have been asking for this video.. I wish there were more videos like this when I found out my son has autism, so to all the parents going through this.. WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
The noises he makes could be considered vocal stims. My son used to grunt a lot when he was younger. He also yells or screams when he’s excited. The jumping around at the fridge was probably also stimmimg. Jumping is my son’s BIGGEST stim. Watch for separation anxiety with people that he is really connected with, those meltdowns can be brutal. Potty training was “fun”. It didn’t happen until he was 4. It took me hiding his diapers, putting him in underwear, and setting a timer for every 45 minutes. Got the hang of it in a weekend and was fully potty trained in about a month. We got the diagnosis 4 days before his second birthday and now he’s 6 1/2. Still doing speech therapy, and is being recommended for OT at children’s hospital of Philadelphia (he’s had OT before and while in school). We just finished a feeding program at children’s hospital and he has 24-25 new foods that he openly accepts. We’ve come a long way from the start of this journey!!!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
I have ADHD and it has a lot of the same symptoms like autism. I had delayed speech, can’t sit still I also rock back and forth or clap my hands. And I have a 3.5 GPA in college 🙌🏾
My son just got evaluated and the psychologist believes it can either be ADHD or “mild Autism” (as she called it), she also said the symptoms are very similar. Either way, I’m here to support him through whatever he will face in life ❤️
The humming and Squeak noises is oral stimming . It just feels good to them and helps them Regulate my little guy is 4 now and he started those sounds right before his Language exploded... 🥰
He is stimming! The high pitched noise is something that comforts him. My son will be 4 in September. He screeches, flaps his hands, rocks, spins and other things. Its how they self regulate. I love it.
@@oscarsmom9733 she asked if anyone else's kids do that and what it was so I replied. For those of us with autistic kids we do know what it can be like. But my son is like hers. 99% of the day he is stimming, playing and learning. But he does have meltdowns. I think her posting those would be a huge violation of his privacy because he is super vulnerable in those moments. We don't share our most intense moments publicly because everyone deserves to keep that to themselves. She doesn't have to share everything.
@@oscarsmom9733 wow where did this comment come from. You can be fully accepting of something even with researching stuff. @@oscarsmom9733 your comment us so uncalled for. Nothing in this vlog says she has nit come to full grips of his diagnosis. I think the noises he makes are called "stimming" Lots of people with autism do it as a comfort/relief! I'm glad you freely let him and dont discourage it. Such a good mom
Honestly I’m not sure if he’s doing it because he has autism or because he’s a child. I know lots of kids that make noises especially kids who aren’t very vocal yet
@KEPLER Thank you for including this. I have a friend with autism and one of her stims is biting herself and hair tugging so absolutely. Not all are harmless
@KEPLER From what I've witnessed and asked her parents about, they'll give her this little toy called a chewy to help with the biting. When she pulls her hair the only thing they seem to do is physically restrain her (but she doesn't like being held down so it makes things worse sometimes) I'm not a professional whatsoever just a family friend, so the most I do is try to hold her hand or offer distractions. She takes medications and has a changed diet so that has helped

These videos are so important and it’s awesome you’re using your platform to spread awareness I have 2 beautiful sons with autism and they’re doing great because of early intervention, both were diagnosed at 4 years old so you were really on the ball getting Wick the support he deserves so early. As a parent if you notice things in your child such as speech problems, lack of eye contact and back and forth interaction between you, food sensory issues (fussiness) or you pick up that your child becomes overwhelmed by their surroundings (especially loud noises like traffic). Also things like issues with certain materials on clothes, playing a certain way, unaware of invading on personal space then it’s always best to mention it to whichever authorities are involved in your child’s life. Sometimes you just know and the earlier you can seek help the better for your child to navigate this crazy world in their own unique way ❤️
I absolutely love the way you are with Wic .. ik he’s going to grow up confident smart caring and loving his mama like crazy😂 . The way you always tell him he’s awesome and that he’s gonna be someone and all of that . I love it .. I will always be here watching you and Wic ❤️❤️
He is a handsome lil baby 🥰 an there is nothing different about him he can learn an explore the world with all the precious little ones out there if you just keep pushing for him he will make it 😊
You are doing an amazing job Queen. He is very lucky to have a mom like you. I've seen a mother who had a 3 and an 5 year old walking and they were a half a block behind her and she didn't care. So when I see women like you do your thing I get so proud because there are mother's out there who doesn't do 2% of what you do for you little king. Absolutely beautiful.
My son has autism, he's 3 and so smart it's scary! He knows English (colors, numbers he's obsessed with numbers, shapes and can read quite a few words) Spanish (colors, numbers, shapes and can recognize words) and is recently interested in French, Russian and Japanese. Although he knows these things he still doesn't speak much. I wish someone would have warned me about the sleep problems he has, the severe pica and the severe tantrums. He also squeals and WON'T SIT STILL 🥺. Fr I'm tired and overwhelmed being an autism mom is HARD!! ❤️ You're amazing and so is Wick. ❤️ from MD
He can’t talk to me and communicate he holds my hand takes me to what he wants or I got to guess .. but he loves music and he can sing his favourite songs
I’m a pharmacy tech and my pharmacist got lasik and he said that the 20/20 vision has faded away throughout the years. So i would ask the doctor about it as well. Btw I’m glad we got a video of wick he so cute. 😍🥰
Go wick love you guys relationship Dominic always makes me smile when I watch u guys it's shows why they say God picks the mom for the kids u guys are perfect for each other and how happy u make each other is always a joy to watch
I am learning so much from you and I don't even have a child....thank you for using your platform to inform parents of autistic children and for those of us who don't have children Keep being a great mom and I send much love and blessings to both of you 😊😊😊🙏🏾
I go to a private school and we are going back into the classrooms and you have to have a mask . And I am ready to go back because I'm tired of being in the house. Wick has come a long way . When I watch your videos and I see wick, I can tell that he's getting more things that's around him and I just love to see him happy.😊🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂😊😊😊😊🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂😊🙂😊
Go Wick! I don't know if it really matters, but I'm very proud of you Domo. You've been through so much and still continue to be an inspiration to us and your beautiful child. Stay positive and loving ❤
I'm so proud of u and domonic. U are an amazing mother and domonic is super smart. I have a little cousin who has autism but his parents don't do anything to help and im so scared for his future. Keep being the amazing mother u are and I love how u let wick do wht makes him happy. I can't wait to see when wick says full sentences and becomes smarter. Love u both💞👏
I totally understand how you feel about cruel world and scared for our kid(s) becuz my daughter is visually impaired and she's already had bullies since she was 3 yrs old. So I'm definitely scared AF! I cry to myself for being scared for her future.
When I was in 1st grade I got stung in my right eye by a bee. Ever since then my eyesight has been deteriorating. I'm 25 now and my optometrist told me I was going blind just in my right eye. I'm not allowed to drive and I can't do ANYTHING without my glasses. So I definitely understand Domo 😩😪
I work with children with autism as a behavior therapist. I love it. I’m also in grad school to become a behavior analyst... my focus is Autism. I loveeeeee what I do. I’m so glad you are shedding light & normalizing it.
It makes me so happy to see all these comments about autism. Me son is three and shows symptoms but haven’t been diagnosed yet. This video just lets me know that he’s not alone.
Hi Domo!! I was told by a child care provider to let my son watch another young male use the toilet to train my son. So I let my nephews, who were eleven and twelve and my son was three at the time, teach my son how to use the toilet. It worked. As soon as I put "big boy" underwear on him he no longer wanted diapers or pull-ups. Do invest in mattress protectors because there is going to be a lot of accidents. Never make him feel bad about the accidents. It will all work out. Ask your brothers to help you teach him when he is around them. Good luck and be blessed. By the way my son is 23 and on the autism spectrum.
Omg Girl I almost cried when you let us know how smart your son is. I remember days I was so worried about my boys(age 3 and 5) being behind. They were diagnosed at ages 2. My oldest was reading at age 3 without knowing the word meanings. They still cant speak full sentences yet but they are chatterbox 1 & 2 lol. They know colors, shapes, numbers, ect. Good Luck on yalls school years. #Autism Strong❤💚💜💙💛
My niece has autism and she’s 3 about to turn 4 on September 6th. She never be still and she just started talking but not sentences and she’s very smart .

Hi, I’m autistic, I do vocal stiming a lot as well. Singing helped me with using words.
I agree the world is not built for autistic people. Our sensors become overwhelmed and it can cause internal pain.

GO WICK!!! ❤️❤️ I absolutely love him and can’t believe he’s 3 already. So smart
My son is 3 years old and he has mild autism and he does the exactly the same thing
Those kisses Domonic gave you along with his laugh and smile made me happy.
❤️ from MD
He’s such a happy boy. You are doing a great job ❤️
GO WICK 🥺🥺🥺 I remember when you found you was having him I criedddddd🤧🤧
I just LOOOVE how there are toys everywhere. 💜
My son is 3 also has autism he’s always making those noises all day everyday sometimes they can be very high pitch noises.. love you guys💕💕
He can’t talk to me and communicate he holds my hand takes me to what he wants or I got to guess .. but he loves music and he can sing his favourite songs
Go Wick. He's quite intelligent. Blessings on his future.
Go wic !! It was so cute when he felt his curls bouncing 😍
I’m a pharmacy tech and my pharmacist got lasik and he said that the 20/20 vision has faded away throughout the years. So i would ask the doctor about it as well. Btw I’m glad we got a video of wick he so cute. 😍🥰

God Bless U Beautiful Stay Positive
@@TheAATwins thank you, blessings to you aswell
I work with children with autism as a behavior therapist. I love it. I’m also in grad school to become a behavior analyst... my focus is Autism. I loveeeeee what I do. I’m so glad you are shedding light & normalizing it.
Domo, you and this shirt on thin that keeps falling is giving me ALL the anxiety 😂. I'm like QUIT DOMO...QUIT😂
It makes me so happy to see all these comments about autism. Me son is three and shows symptoms but haven’t been diagnosed yet. This video just lets me know that he’s not alone.
My son is 4. He was diagnosed with ASD when he was 2.
Look at Wick using his words!! It has been so awesome to watch him grow.
Fathering Autism!! 😍
Need to check them out.. they are very informative and such a great family!❤
He’s such a happy baby I love it my son is 4 and there’s nothing in the world I love more than being a mother such an amazing feeling
When domo said “corona I live in Arizona” that kinda rhymed
He stumbled upon the stimulation that it gives, and he loves it! The same with him bouncing his hair it felt funny to him. 🥰 he’s so cute.
