This is probably unique in the world to have an airline taxi their departing aircraft out so that spotters and avgeeks can get their final photos and pay their respects to one of THE most iconic aircraft in aviation history. Then, have the pilots raise the gear and do that incredible wing-wave. Tip of the cap to Virgin for such class. Silver lining for Barbarella is that she is being returned to lessor so we may see her again soon in a new freighter role or similar! Thank you Simon for another great video!

Yes, it went empty down to Heathrow.
She and 2 others where picked up by Atlas
