- Styx's first night of their 2010 tour: The Grand Illusion/Pieces of Eight. This was at The Centre in Evansville, Indiana. Thursday, October 14, 2010 @ 7:30 pm. What an incredible show! At the beginning of the next song they introduce a previous member... =)
I'm pumped to see them in Lowell, Ma on Nov 3rd. Thanks for posting this sneak peek!
thanks for posting! Great video!
This tour was amazing beyond words. Although I can't wait to have my copy of the promised DVD, I would definitely see this live again and again!
CANT WAIT TIL MONDAY OCT. 25TH, I HAVE FRONT ROW SEATS TO SEE THEM!!
Completely agree! Very well put!
I was there, this concert was amazing. :D
Awesome Awesome Awesome! Can't wait to see them in Biloxi!
I'm a lifelong Styx fan, and going to see them in Reno tomorrow night! Just watched the "Castle Walls" video and hope it's in the setlist.
STYX without Dennis DeYoung is not STYX and never will be. I'm sure James and Tommy know this.
@styx1981 oh yes I can so hear JY's voice reading along with that as it rolls. the phrase "wildly successful" is a definate giveaway. I can't wait for next week. Albany and Lowell here we come.
I am so bummed out. I just read that The Grand Illusion/Pieces of Eight Tour is over. How can it already be over? It just started. I just bought tickets to their concert that is coming up in January. I thought it was part of this tour. That is the only reason I bought the tickets. I wanted to hear all the songs on those two albums. From the videos I've seen, all the songs sound fantastic. It seems like everyone loves this tour. I hope the band reconsiders and extends this tour into 2011.
I've been a Styx fan since Paradise Theater. This is awesome! By the way, I'm willing to bet that JY wrote the words for the Star Wars crawl at the beginning. Reads just like something he would say!
Chuck is still very much a part of the band... Hes somewhat retired...
uh I'd say Chuck Panozzo was an original member, not a previous member...a previous member would be Dennis DeYoung or Glen Burtnik
I am with you
@MOPEDER01 You're kidding right? Have you seen them live recently? They play SO much better and so much happier without Dennis trying to dictate the whole band and drive them into ground. Sorry to say, but Gowan>DeYoung
