  • Hey guys! This is our 8th custom design, called Le Saule! This is the second smallest tiny house we built to date and we are very happy to show what we can do in a 10 x 22 tiny house! Don’t forget this is a custom design, so we build according to our client needs AND budget. Everything is like this for a reason!

    I want to buy a house just so Phil and JP will make a video. Love you guys. (seee-derrr!! omg I laughed so hard!) The Sakura is probably my favorite tiny house of all time. So happy to see the Saule, and can't wait to see the next one!

    I love your videos! And I love your tiny house designs equally, if not more. There is an attention to detail and quality that I rarely see in other tiny houses. All of your tiny house designs are great, but the Sakura is probably my favorite because of the stand up bedroom and all the storage. No two of your houses are the same or cookie cutter. It is obvious the thoughtfulness and attention to each client's needs that you put into them. Keep up the great work. I can hardly wait for your next video.

      Nancy D.,
      I agree with you wholeheartedly. Thank goodness for the technology which allows us to meet the Minimaliste team members and to learn about their ethics.
      I personally love the Laurier, but I love the Eucalyptus too. I used to know all of the Minimaliste design names by heart, but let's just say that I love and would select the Japanese soaking tub but with a handheld telephone douche attachment for showering; the "U"-shaped kitchen counters (? Eucalyptus?), and the bedroom with the sliding computer desk/tray. Full solar panelling and comfy warm for our outstandingly cold and beautiful Québec winters.
      Je suis fière d'être une québécoise, surtout quand j'observe le beau travail fait par l'équipe de Minimaliste. I can't wait to purchase, hold on, wait for me. Oct 14/018.

    Never heard anyone pronounce I-key-A like that before😂 Beautiful house as always, and love how the front door opens outwards instead of inwards. Allow for more space by the entrance.

    I always love how you guys try to fit the customers' requirement and it ended up refreshing to see many different design for each houses. You guys are designers and not just builders. I hope you can make Q and A video. I'm really curious which detail design that you couldn't do before for previous house but you could do/think it now. The groove detail is impressive since I know it requires more time to focus.

Only one thing I would have loved to see...The way the light shown thru the window behind the toilet, Phil's tall, dark silhouette seated upon the throne! And with that light surrounding him, a vision of majestic beauty! LOL! No, really guys, you both are special in your creativity and skill at making what seems impossible, work. Hello from Europe! You guys are doing great work and I enjoy both your designs and videos. But I have 1 question: How do you explain that design decision to have the entrance door 1/2 in wood and 1/2 in glass, right next to a big, door sized glass window? It seems inconsistent, like either the window or the door was an afterthought. If you wanted more light, why covering 1/2 of the door with wood panels, why not keep it 100% in glass? If you wanted more privacy, why placing a see through plane right next to a door? I'm a product designer myself and couldn't help myself, I had to ask, as these things got my attention. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward seeing more :-)

      LUNOS is a product name for an energy efficient air exchange ventilation system. Depending on the specific model it'll either be a HRV or ERV type.
      HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation) operates in winter by transferring the heat of outgoing air to the incoming air to minimize heat loss and works reverse in summer.
      ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilatin) operates similar to an HRV but also helps regulate air humidity level in the same way as the heat.
      Thus it allows an air tight home to have a continuous flow of fresh air without having to worry as much about the outside ambient air conditions and helping to minimize the impact that would otherwise have on the interior conditioned space.

      Skittles McStabbypants Sorry but we worked with experts on this. Led lights generate way more electromagnetic field than standard incandescent light.

    • @tduenchan
      @tduenchan 4 роки тому

      LEDs generate less emf energy because they require less energy to operate. If you are using AC power to power LEDs then the AC to DC converter associated with cheap LED strip lighting does produce slightly noisy power. It is still generating much more light per watt so it is less emf. If it is the vhf from the transformer in the AC to DC converter, you should run DC power to all your light circuits using a high quality AC to DC converter to reduce VHF EMF or a DC to DC converter if you are off grid.

      They can do cheaper homes, but they showcase these fancy homes. I would recommend Incredible Tennessee Tiny Homes if you want a cheap tiny house. They have a workshop where you stay for a few nights and do some of the easy labor yourself to bring the cost down further.

    • @ZeoCyberG
      @ZeoCyberG 6 років тому +26

      But you don't need a house designed for Canadian winters and most people won't have this particular owners EMF sensitivity that required so many special modifications to the design.
      So this size home can be done for a lot less...
      But there are other considerations... Like a moveable house means you can avoid things like the next major hurricane and not just hope your home makes it through or be trapped in an area with no power or utilities for up to weeks.
      While for something in this price range you could get something that has solar and can basically function completely off-grid so you can sure to never be without power, etc.
      So you're actually paying for different things with a movable home vs one that can't be moved... and the benefits are also not all the same... Making it more complicated than simple either/or consideration...
