This man is incredibly intelligent and fearless. A man like this needed to live, but nooo he would be too much of a powerful BLACK leader.

True. I think it has to do with his short life and that he didn't have the opportunity to accomplish more due to the limitations of prison.

Abdul Osman Definitely. I wrote about him and have read both his books as well as watched the tv special "Day of the Gun" about the San Quentin rebellion. I've also found some audio of his on vimeo (it might be this same audio on this video). He seemed to be a take no shit real brother.

Used to listen to this man on audiobook when I was in prison such a strong powerful spirit. He stood for something , something greater than him. The liberation of our people. 👊 love you George

My hero, mentor and friend even though we never met, yet our kindred spirits are forever in a state of uniformity. ......since first reading his letters over twenty years ago, no one has influence me more than Conrad George Jackson, his intelligence, courage and keen insight, alerted my senses and open my mind to this stark reality of our condition as a whole. .......This brother didn't just talk revolution, he exercise it, and went the way of his belief's. .....

@Melloncampo Carter Marched to set him free with my old pops at 6 years old back in 1970. He indicated the kind of system we are in, and what kind of unique brutality our ancestors suffered. His letters are sufficient to educate and to liberate the mind of the man and woman of color. Respect.

Same here. George Jackson was unknown to me, till about a year ago, when I came across his history, and prison letters on UA-cam. I read every letter and my heart was right there with him. I had a great sadness, that this beautiful articulate young man's life was first imprisoned on some Jim Crow law, to sentence him to 1yr. to Life, on a petty charge of stealing 70.00 from a gas station. Where are the Supreme Court Justices, that are SUPPOSED to strike down unjustifiable sentences. Then my heart was further saddened when I heard of his death. We don't die we multiply. Because his case has caused me to have a great interest in learning about law and civics, because learning these 99% of the battle is won, God has the rest. ✌❤George Jackson

I became absorbed by this brothers writing at the tender age of 12; I read "soledad brother" with little to no understanding of how it would effect my own beliefs or life; now I see after a lifetime of living here in America, what my young mind couldn't comprehend at 12 years of age; a true hero and a revolutionary beyond !!!!

I was watching a documentary in which an Afrikan Lion was shot with a high-powered rifle; however despite being with multiple slugs the Lion tuned toward the gunner, rushed him at full speed and knocked him on his back. This to me is the" against all odds" mindset that George perpetually possessed. Mind of a dragon 🐉 heart of a lion, soul of a(van) guardian Angel
