This week we review the new Model 2 Retrosound USA radio. This radio is fully Bluetooth enabled and ready for installation in any classic car. With its customizable knob positions and variable face plate you can place the radio in nearly any car. The radio features two USB connections, outputs for amplifiers and mini RCA jacks as well as many other hard core audio features.

We're pretty sure it would. You'd need to get the face plate for that particular GM radio style.
They may not have them in stock. If you are having issues, call another store, this is a new product for NPD so not all the sales guys may be up on what is and is not in stock.
I really want that radio for my '66.

Yep. Retrosound is a great alternative to cutting the dash while giving you modern features. We'll be installing one in our 1966 Falcon project car.

Hay guys I know they are your sponsor but National Parts Depot was not very helpful in ordering this radio. I called 3 times and was told they do not have them in stock, when after calling Retro Sound they said they do, and if they don't they could arrange a drop ship direct from Retro Sound. Ground up can have them drip shipped in case any of you need this radio quickly. Not great customer service NPD.

Did you ever do a show on the Fairlane radio install? I am considering this radio for my 64 Fairlane and I was wondering if I can use a stock 64 "base model NOT a 500" Fairlane radio bezel with it?
+GeorgeBonez Funny you should ask that George, we just now figured out what to do with the rear speakers we want to put in the car. While not a problem on a sedan, a wagon has nearly no place to put the 4x10s we are using. BUT we did find a spot and will be installing it in the next few weeks.
+AutoRestoMod Cool I hope you make a vid on the Failane Wagon. Do you know if this radio will work with a stock 64 Fairlane radio face-plate or (bezel)? I mean is that what you are going to try in the Wagon? Keep in mind how important this is in the 1964 model Fairlane because the radio face-plate joins with the heater face-plate to make one complete looking bezel unit. I guess you could use one of the face-plates that come with the Retrosound Mod 2 but its not going to look quite right because your heater bezel is going to be nice and round on the right side end but the left side is going to be square shape with a couple of screw holes showing.. When it comes time you will see what I'm talking about if you're indeed installing in a 64 (base model) Fairlane Sedan or Wagon. Good Luck guys and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
+GeorgeBonez We'll be going into the whole thing. The Fairlane has a standard shaft style radio and you should be able to use the Model 2. make sure you measure tho radio opening. Some radios bezels (the '64-'65 Falcon for example) have plastic that covers the face of the Model 2 but the Fairlane should clear it.
+AutoRestoMod Well my 64 Fairlane is the base model (not a 500) and has the pure chrome bezel (no plastic cover at all) and it buts-up to the heater bezel like I said before. The hole in my dash is 4"13/16 X 5/8 and I'm sure that part will work just fine with the Model 2. I really want to use my Stock Fairlane radio bezel and that's what has me worried. My stock bezel is divided kind of course with FORD written between the radio channel face and the buttons under the divider. The bezel dimensions are (Top opening 3" 7/16 long X 5/8 inch high and the Bottom opening under the divider is 3" 7/16 long & 1/2 inch high. It looks like I am going to actually have to buy the Model 2 to see if this works and just send it back if it doesn't. I hate to do that but what else can I do?

Can you give me the top & bottom opening dimensions of the face holes in that thing? PLeeeeeeeeeeZe??? Purdy Pleeeeeze? Ive looked everywhere and I cannot find these measurements anywhere dude! :(
