@@GuitarversumSandraSherman yes, I have a couple issues going on that make music challenging. A “hand arthritis” diagnosis is one. I’ve cut way back on playing due to frustration and pain. Hi Andrew, glad you dig it! You can make this a long term goal. A bar a day and you'll get there eventually. that way you also memorize the long song form easier.
Wasn't that song featured in the movie, "Sleepless in Seattle?" I don't know how I'm going to learn to play a lot of songs like that. You might say that I'm cursed with shorter fingers than normal, plus with extra short pinky fingers that are bent inwards at the top knuckle. I just don't have the reach. Because of that I can only play simple chords😞. Love your channel and listening/watching you play. I can only dream of playing like you do. Much mahalo!
I have super short fingers too. It's usually the angle of the thumb and wrist, that's causing pain or limitations in spreading the fingers. Bit your inwards bent pinky could be a problem, that can't be overcome. I don't know.
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman thank you for replying. The other issue I have that I forgot to mention is that I have tendinitis at the base of my left thumb, and at times it gets rather painful. I’m looking at getting cold laser therapy. There’s a lot of good things said about it. I love your channel and your playing. All the very best. Take care.

The treatments will be over a period of time. How many sessions, I don't know yet. Take good care, and keep playing your beautiful style.
