Chills just went up and down my SPINE. My Beautiful Father would sing this to my Mother, when I was a little girl of 7 years old back in the Fifties. He played this 78 record on our Magnavox TV/Radio/Stereo Combination. I was so mesmerized, the way my Father
would go get my mother so they could dance to this song, as I watched them dance I fell in Love with this song, so Beautiful the words of this song. Although this iconic song is more associated with Nat King Cole, Michae Buble's version sounds more like his interpretation of Frank Sinatra's rendition on The Lucky Strike Promo of 1943. A beautiful interpretation indeed.

And what would Bublé be without the talented Hoagy Carmichael? In modern times, the guy doesn't shave, he doesn't comb his hair, or do up his tie, sounds dreamy, but appears messy; but not the very noble jazz chords of the composer who tied the song up in a NEAT package for generations to come! Thank you, Hoagy. You play just like my Dad did, and I learned to play that style from him, then earned my living playing piano songs of the 20th Century: thanks you, Hoagy!

+Deanna Reeder Nat King Cole's version was better imo. While they all sounded wonderful, here, they cut out the first part of the song! It makes no sense for them to do that.

I was in hospital recently having my kidney out and I had my tablet with me When in recovery I played Nat Coles version Then I curiously saw this and quite like liked Buble but hadn't heard of Naturally 7 Well this version blew me away and I'm nearly into triple play figure The voice harmony is wonderful Mr Nat King Cole is up there smiling and harmonising to this amazing song Another lovely song is Nature Boy I know every word and I sing it a lot badly probably but I sing it just the same enjoy it if you haven't heard it before 🍀🎸🎷🎻🎺🎼🎶🎙️📻🎹

This is superb. I miss young Michael when he was still trying to grasp the reality of his career. Though he's been singing for more years and has more experience, I actually think he sounded better in those early days. I was always happy to see how happy HE was and how grateful he was. He was still one of us, before his career exploded.
I agree. I like his new stuff, but his smile doesn't reach his eyes when he sings them. Still think he is the best singer out there. Just miss the spark.

In any other situation I would agree with you 100 percent, but not here. Michael has such a deep reverence and respect for American jazz standards and the men like Frank Sinatra and other greats of old that he would never rip them off. He doesn't have to dedicate it to anyone for us to know that it was done with respect for his predecessors.
