Even though I can hold my V/I sit for 20 seconds or so, I've learned a lot from this. You've got the most legit explanations and tips for learning this skill man.
First time I came across one of your videos... Great job ! Love the video quality and how easily you put out the instructions in such a short period of time .
Awesome. Happy you found it useful. I can’t say exactly, it’s not been constant training for it, I’ve had many different periods of training for the V-sit.
Awesome vid man you really killed it. I just discovered your channel today and took a look at some of your other vids after this one. They were very informative as well. This vid is what got me going though. I even liked the background music :) Subscribed!
Awesome tutorial!! How many v-sit tuck walks should I do? And how long will I have to practice until I'm able to do the V-sit if I do the exercises three times a week?
Awesome video Sid. Really enjoy the videos you are making very informative and to the point. Makes for some good learning. V-sit has been a goal of mine for a while now but I ventured off into flexibility once I worked on my pike and got lost doing leg mobility. Maybe it's time to work on compression and strength movements again! Keep it up!
've got the L sit from floor for about 30 seconds before I start shaking like an earthquake, so figure i can spice things up w/ the v sit....gonna be doing the flexibility and compression circuit for a while
Hi Sid, Thanks for the video, you've earned a new subscriber. :) I'm new to calisthenics and gymnastics and need to buy paralettes. Could you please tell me which one you used in this video, or the diameter and length of the pole so that I can make my own? I have parallel bars, but need something close to the ground for handstand progressions etc... Thanks Flow
I didn't know that the L sit was in a retraction of the scapulas I thought that you suppose to use Protraction and Hollow body, can you tell me what's the difference between those two?
when you retract its what they call an advance L- sit or a perfect one you push your chest out and retract your scapula a protraction is fine but its easyer that way
Execuse me,achieve pike stretch first and train pike press later or i can train them at the same time cause i have some difficult when i lift my leg on pike press routine ??
Hello 🤝 I am kind of trapped. My gymnastics coach gave me a lot of different exercises to achieve the "high angle" element. Over the course of 2 months, the number of repetitions has not increased even once, that is, not at all. Please tell me, should I ignore the number, continue training, is the number not a criterion in my case?
I think the duration of the holds are less important. Generally I believe in shorter holder (5-10 seconds) simply because it’s such an intensive movement. It’s hard to progress the difficulty with too long holds.
www.goodreads.com/book/show/8651755-building-the-gymnastic-body But in my opinion you can learn a lot more from watching video tutorials. It's often complicated to describe how to perform an exercise. Its easier to show it.
Hey bro, I am not good at English but I wanna question something. What should I do to be more flexible? For instance, I wanna learn V-sit and my problem is only flexibility. And I also want to learn the splits. I should focus on V-sit first and then train to splits or I can do both together?

Depends! I like to focus on retraction in the V-sit because of the transferability to the Manna! It just focusing on the V-sit I would do protracted!:)
@@sidpaulson1 Short update. I almost got it 90 degrees now after focusing on compression exercises. But I am going to get it even better. Thanks for the help.
I think it will works with girl cause i have saw a woman do a v-sit,so yeah it will works but it will take longer time for girls to achieve this compare to men
This works perfectly well for girls. Yes guys and girls can have different muscle compositions.. But this doesn't really change anything, the process is still the same to learn skills like these.
@@sidpaulson1 oh geez, i did not notice that you replied to my comment. I can actually do the V-Sit now, thanks to you, haha. Watched your Manna tutorial as well. This will be hard my man

Awesome! Holding L sit for 30 sec and I thought that V is only an ab thing, but flexibility is of importance also, thank you for the vid!
Happy to help! Flexibility is often neglected in terms of learning the V-Sit!
Awesome tutorial dude! i have searched long time for a good v-sit tutorial video and here i found it!
Thanks man. Happy you like it. Have you tried all the exercises?:)
I've tried some of them yesterday and it was useful! how much did it took you to get the perfect v-sit?

I just discovered how much is this going to help my press to handstand if I got V-Sit before. Thanks for sharing, @sidpaulson

Puedes hacer un tutorial de V-sit Rings? Saludos! Muy buen contenido el tuyo!
Thanks for watching.
As usual I really enjoy your videos. Can you please maje a Tutorial about kip in the rings
Do you mean kip to support/L-sit?
Do I have to do all the flexibility exercises? Do I have to do flexibility and compression every day?
I would aim for 1-2 sessions per week of compression strength.

Yes, let me know how you get on!
What a beautiful outro
Aww thanks!
would the last progression be training the swing?
Yeah you can do that too. It’s more dynamic, so it will be more flexibility focused.

Does it need core strength or hips etc?
Both.
Si no te hace mucho trabajo. Estaría bueno que agregaras en la parte inferior de los vídeos un subtítulo en español ✌
what is the brand of the parallettes he is using ? I want to buy myself some. Or build some myself.
A friend of mine makes them!:)

Do them around 2-3x per week! :)

Don't really know many books for gymnastics. Maybe ''Overcoming Gravity'' :)

Should i stretching before or after workout
I do dynamic stretches before the workout, and more thorough passive/loaded/active stretching after the workout.
Thanks
