I chuckled when the dress code was brought up and in the frame were at least 4 individuals wearing t-shirts sitting and seemingly enjoying their meal. I think this is a great thing to show, because the "dress code" feels more like a polished way of saying "just don't look like a scrub and you can come on in to eat."
Dress code means no swim wear and bare foot lol
Noticed the same thing! Guy sitting front and center wearing a t-shirt as the narration mentions "collared shirts" are required. 😀

Narcoossee's was a 10/10 for us when we went last October! The food was outstanding, the service was top notch, and the view of the fireworks was really good as they pumped in the music for the show. We can't wait to go back!!!

Paid nearly $1000 for my family of 10 to go to Story Book Dining and it was worth EVERY PENNY!! The food was phenomenal, the characters were super rare as you'll not be able to see them anywhere else on property, never mind getting the chance to meet with them personally and the atmosphere is phenomenal!
For context I am speaking of pre-pandemic days. Spent hours studying DFB (thank you DFB!!!) and overall had fantastic dining experiences. I was truly impressed by the food at Disney!!!! Jiko was one that I was really looking forward to but was actually one of our most disappointing meals. I found it to be too contrived with strange flavor pairings (I am an adventurous eater so I am up to try anything). Flying Fish, which consistently gets positive reviews but never top of the list was our BEST dining experience. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, modern and chic, heightened design and details. The food was exceptional. Premium ingredients and balanced flavors. Would go back in a heartbeat, but it was closed during our last trip to Disney just after re-opening. Have a trip coming up in a month and with so many new places to try, we are skipping Flying Fish again. Maybe better to stay in our memories forever as a great Disney dining experience...I am a bit reluctant to go back and be disappointed!

We did Victoria & Albert's on our mini-Honeymoon (main Honeymoon was Europe), and it was probably the best dining experience I've ever had. (We are also foodies, so there ya go.) I had never been pampered and waited on like that so exquisitely - we also did the wine pairing which just enhanced every course we had. For any other major food and wine lovers out there, it is worth every dollar! But so many of these top-tier restaurants are always worth the cost.

I think The Outer Rim Lounge has been there since the 70's, with its roots in the old Monorail Club Car, and predates the Concourse Steak House (around 1989) as we knew it by many years. (Comments made starting at the 6:00 mark)

Storybook dining was our favourite. Characters fab and food also brilliant!
We did this a couple months ago was very impressed. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful

Favorites: Jiko, Sanaa and V+A. But now I have SO MANY MORE that I need to try! My word, this was a mistake to watch on an empty stomach :) TY for your content!
We just tried steakhouse 71, after it was changed from the wave. We loved it just as much.
I love lounges too but unless I m staying at a particular resort I usually can't go since they don't take ADRs. Therefore, security won't let you in without an ADR. Any suggestions to deal with this?
Best way is using the buses, monorail, skyliner, or Uber/Lyft. We like to pair it with another activity like pin trading at the resorts.
Victoria & Albert's and Jiko are by far my fav spots at WDW, and in my top 5 dining experiences worldwide.

Boardwalk Deli has a bagel with lox and I am v. excited about that.
You know loved the California Grill!, great for a newbie. We booked it and saw all of MK magic at night. It is limited, and i have celiac sprue . My wife is still talking about the salad wedge lol. It was great for a first time. I would have to go again, i could skip MK the character Belle's fest :/ ( we spent more money there?) but would go to Skippers canteen again, and again
We don't drink so we've never been to the lounges, but we love Jiko and Artist's Point.

Booked our Disney trip again. We’re visiting Hollywood Studios (our favorite) and animal kingdom (the kids and I first time). Our third time going to Disney ! I never went as a child so I’m certainly making up for it…

Was Toledo left out of this video on purpose? It's a nicer restaurant, which would fit in with the title. I was surprised to see the lounges mentioned but not the actual restaurant when other hotels had their restaurants mentioned.
Also, with paid parking at the resorts now, do guests need to pay to park to go to a lounge at a hotel where they're not staying?
Toledo was in part 2 of this series :) She did pretty much all of Coronado Springs' restaurants there.
Unfortunately, I can't answer the parking question- I was scared of that too so I just parked at my resort and took Disney transport.
The title of this video is definitely a misnomer. I expected a review of all the signature restaurants on property since the title is “most expensive restaurants,” but a good portion of the video is spent on lounges, plus it only covers the resort restaurants, leaving out the park signature ones which are also quite expensive. Good info but not what I was expecting at all.
Question regarding MNSSHP and MVMCP - if i have a daytime ticket for MK but no party ticket, can I linger in the park to see parades, entertainment, etc. as long as I don't ride any rides. How do they enforce removing the daytime guests from the park during party hours?
Wristbands. If you have a ticket they give you a wristband.

California Grill is a restaurant here stand that has stand alone buildings at malls. I feel like I have an unpopular opinion but it strikes me like Red Robin at Disney?

@@JLT3 It means I don't think their food is that good nor that impressive even at regular prices but a Disney priced pre-fixed meal? Umm not from a mall restaurant. I was just more polite the first time
Is V&A already open? Now it seems they upgraded the interior from old-school dark wood to a fresh light ambiance. Loved the comment about the price of this restaurant equal to a mortgage payment, hehehe

I wish they have the classic Mac and cheese with filet. Been eating there regularly since opening. The filet is most certainly not the original. Another one they changed when a new chef came in.

Cali Grill for fireworks view is awesome. As a restaurant alone it’s not even our top 5 anymore. There’s so many great restaurants that have opened up in the last 3-5 years. Steakhouse 71 and Cali grill is more expensive than Artists Point as well. You aren’t getting appetizer entree and dessert for $60 at those places and our steak at artists point was better than 71. We were not impressed with 71.

Good reviews. Too much food would be my comment. $$$$$ At home I can take home any leftovers, and reheat for luncheon next day. Most Disney resorts no longer have a microwave.
Hey AJ, completely random question possibly you can help me with it. For the life of me I do not understand why Disneyland did not celebrate Dumbo‘s 80th birthday in 2021. Why are some characters celebrated like crazy and others are forgotten? I didn’t see much in the way of any Murch and the only place that recognized his birthday was in Tokyo. I was very disappointed being that I am a huge Dumbo fan. And on that same note do you know where I can go to get the latest in any Dumbo merchandise besides looking to Tokyo for merch
Possibly had to do with the pandemic. Many planned events and new attractions were canceled or put on hold.

*Rating, not ranking. Rating is giving each a number on a scale of 1-10, as in this video. Ranking would be sorting them in order of which is best. IE; if you were to say V&A is #1, Jiko is #2, and so on. Someone has nentioned this on every video in this series, so I'm guessing either no one from DFB reads these comments, or they don't care to look it up in a dictionary (or Google).

I would like to point out that flying fish is an actual species of fish and the restaurant’s old decor depicted that fish. Not just like somebody thought it would be hilarious to slap some wings on a fish to decorate the restaurant.

Was this video created by committee? AJ, we love your videos, but you were all over the place on this one, and the title was very misleading. Half the places reviewed were lounges! I'd love to see this video updated for 2024, and true to the description.
