Hello! The 328K is a low shank machine correct? The buttonholer shown in video looks exactly like the one I have. I have a Singer 237 Fashion Mate low shank. I have tried several times but it will not fit the shank. Any thoughts? Thank you.
Yes the Singer 328K is a low shank machine. I think the Singer 237 is a low arm sewing machine too. Maybe the fault isn't in the sewing machine but in that buttonholer device. Are you sure that it is for a low arm sewing machine?
@@pena-video Not sure about that. These were my Dad's prior to me inheriting them. I do know after repeated attempts, the buttonholer screw lays slightly lower than the 237 presser foot screw hole.
Good evening! Could you tell me if this buttonhole fits on any zigzag Singer machine? I bought two of these on ebay, but they didn't fit on Singer because the presser foot shank is lower. Here in Brazil most machines are low shank or high shank.
I have two Elgin machines, they are a copy of Necchi BU, but the presser foot shank is tall, I haven't tested whether it works or not, I had tested it on a Vigorelli, but the buttonhole prevents the pendulum movement of the zigzag on this machine specifically. If you can help me with this question, thank you in advance!
This device is only suitable for low shank sewing machineses. In high shank sewing machines, the shank is tilted slightly forward and therefore there are two types of these devices.

Thanks. The cams and device shell are hard plastic and otherwise the device is metal.
