I feel your pain walking through that one, we did one in shale once and it was just endless hunching. Fortunately, it wasn't too interesting so we abandoned ship as it was getting painful. Nice colours in there with the minerals. Your bloody brave getting in that shaft!
Great to see that you're back doing your wonderful exploring videos. I follow lots of mine exploring videos, but yours and Ben o Cam's are my favourites.
You were so close to the end last time Jon. Epic explore. I bet that water was cold. Would you be warmer in fisherman's waders that come up to the chest or would this be too restrictive? The wow at the end sums up what you have been through. Although it is a great explore and I love the channel Jon, don't put yourself at risk. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
Never worry about me. I think a wetsuit is more flexible for exploring, I'm pretty sure one day I will have to swim across something! I've got a dry bag now too. I'm glad I did find the end of the left hand tunnel, although reviewing the bit where I hold the camera up, it appears to continue above? I'll go back and explore the right hand tunnel next time! Had a really interesting tip off from some locals on the walk back from this explore.
@StreetZipsSZ I saw that it went further, but I just thought that you were thinking that the junk was a bit precarious to clamber over. Oooo another one? I'll look forward to that in a few weeks then, or are you backlogged a couple of months? Even in a wet suit, it has to be a bit on the cold side. Can't wait until the next one drops.
@@michelle47 Yeah, the doors etc. probably a local farmer dumped it down a mineshaft? They are often used as disposal sites by people. We've found all sorts of odd things at the bottom of mines! They never cease to amaze.
Every time you show the landscape or vista over there it blows my mind. It makes the world seem so much bigger when you see places on the other side of the world. Fun fact, every human on earth could fit comfortably into the state of Florida with its 230 billion square yards of landmass! Thanks for the view!
Thanks, I hope to share many more locations soon. I'll be using my drone in the future videos. I realise that I must travel soon and have some adventures abroad!
I know an easy way of calculating the distance of this place, tie off a big spool of fishing string at the entrance and walk to the end while holding it. You could take it back out and measure. I know back in the day they used to dump junk cars into these holes in order to try and fill them up.
I think it was more bits of a car, all the doors etc. good job I wasn't there when it was chucked in! I still plan to go back and do the right hand one. That is still unexplored

I'm glad you enjoy the vids. We have a really good one coming next Friday!
Looks like a coffen tunnel cause it looks that size and how small it looks when your walking through it. Fantastic explore for sure 🙌🏻
That looks like so much fun, be safe out there
It's a great hobby.
I have a desk job all week and it's my way of some exercise and escaping!
Another adventure next Friday.

Did you say a car was in there? How did that happen?

Hi Jon, wow that was one hell of a tunnel, was that a whole car down there plus other stuff ??.
Thank you for sharing, much love. xx

@@StreetZipsSZ Yes it would not have ended well if you were there at the same time. x
Blimey I wouldn't have the courage to do what you do, mind you I would like to see you get my wheelchair down there 👍
Glad to take you along for the adventure!
Hope you enjoyed it.
Imagine caving and a Ford Cortina comes crashing down.
I just pictured the rolling boulder scene from Indiana Jones but with a car chasing after you!
been there before, did you take the slippery old smugglers track?, by the way i think the shaft at 7:10 is called pressure shaft
Thanks for the info, the only tunnel I haven't done yet is the one that goes off to the right.
It sure is an amazing set of tunnels there.
@@StreetZipsSZ Decided to look at an old mine record, the one at 7:10 is called Thomas's shaft and the one at the end is whim shaft

Thanks for the info! I hope to return there in the summer when it dries up. Must be pouring out this time of the year.
Crikey
Coffin level. quite old then.
I guess it ends in 15 minutes. So not endless
Unedited it's about a 45 minute walk, which is pretty far underground.
Based on what I saw when I held the camera up it does continue even further?
