Its a very good another concept album from KD but for me - mostly due to the lyrical side (storyplot and storytelling). But musically for me the legendary streak of concept albums Abigail(87)-Them(88)-Conspiracy(89)-Eye(90) - is heavy metal Treasure fund. And among these 4 I prefer "Them" for its outstanding atmospheric and innovative sound mixed with a really scary Tale.
Good to see you guys still rockin. I love King Diamond , stumbled onto him back in the '80's.. such a great story teller. Always very dark. Abigail is amazing, The story of THEM and CONSPIRACY is fantastic. Every song is a banger
I hope Vin & Sori go further and explore Them and Conspiracy albums (for they are the best ever in King Diamond catalogue)

The dad raped Lucy and put the crime on the narrator.
He then was send to an asylum to ve persecuted.
He escaped and search revenge.
The narator admit that he is now insane, but would never hurt a child.
Lucy is freed at the end
King Diamond albums are concept, you cannot just take one song and making an opinion.
You need to listen for track 1 to the end to understand
It’s funny to me that this album was considered one of their worst even though it slaps!
You guys really need to dive into the 2000 album House Of God... another full-concept album.
My God, that was intense!
Kinda sad how their views went downhill very quick.
I was really enjoying their reaction before and how they carefully dissect the lyrics and share their thoughts.

My understanding is King “the villain “ is innocent of the molestation and wasn’t “right” in the first place and that’s why it was easy for Mackenzie to pin the molestation on King’s character.
Yeah this whole "we don't know he didn't do it" thing is silly. Unless otherwise told you have to assume the writer of the story has given you correct information, that's how stories work. King was wrongfully accused of molesting a child, likely because he was already not right in the head, I assume he's considered like "simple" and thus he's an easy mark to put the blame on. The song before this, Daddy, is King reliving the moment after he has been accused and is being thrown into the sanitarium, and his father abandons him due to what he is believed to have done, likely the person the sole person that cared for him prior to getting locked away. His time in the sanitarium made him even worse as he was driven to be complete madness, and so he kills his way out, and kills anyone that can get between him and his revenge for what Mackenzie did to him.

House of God is a good 1 they have..all his albums are concept albums
