I love it! I just wish the actual show had the jazz ending like in the video and slightly less screaming as I think it could freak out a few people! Would just balance out the light and shade.
Have you seen the semi final or final to this song in the eurovision? If not, it will blow your mind. Best live performance on the eurovision in years.
This is a great reaction. Thank you for being so respectful to Bambie and appreciating their talent. We now have live staging photos and it looks like they are going to be amazing. 🇮🇪❤️
Great reaction and glad you like it. There's a lot of people in Ireland hoping that she qualifies for the final because that would be a reward for Ireland choosing something different this year. From the images we've seen from their first rehearsal they've retained some elements from the video but gone with a slightly darker but simpler staging. It's just Bambie and one male dancer and ring of candles similar to that in the video. They're wearing a black goth style ballerina tutu (they did ballet for a number of years) with the white and black make-up. I expect there will be more fluid movement especially in the chorus to emphasise the contrast in style. As it's a first rehearsal there's very limited video available to judge the whole package but know Bambie's thoroughness and committment to their craft and their style I'm really hopeful the whole package will be coherent with a strong narrative.
Thank you for all the background information, I can definitely see what you're talking about. I think for a show like this it could work to present it more minimalistic or at least more reduced than in the video. Curious for her performance now!
At first I was wondering what am I looking at when I saw Doomsday Blue, but later I can say it was "love at second sight" ;-) Great song and visuals. And speaking about reactions I would recommend Belgium, Mustii - Before The Party's Over, one of my favourites this year.
they have an amazing song discography!! you should react to Tsunami if you want something more heavy/rap or love bites for an emotional ballad they can do anything as for other eurovision songs, you should definitely check out norway. its a rock folk norwegian traditional track and its amazing to see live
Native English speaker here.. speak singing.. the term we were taught in university (music major) .. was sprechtstimme 😂 - no better way to say it, right? - and they used Pierrot Lunaire by Schoenberg to demonstrate. Love your review style! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and insight.
@userNKg11 I understand where you are comming from im irish Catholic too this is not a devil worship its against they demon look at the end she kills him its a old irish pagen religion before Christianity its not evil
@@Irish780 what are you on about? First of all, why do you assume I am Irish Catholic. Fourthly, this rubbish strikes me as a mishmash of contrary ideas presented with most unpleasant sound.
Ahh, you reacted to one of my favourites this year. I totally understand why you dig it. Btw. Bambie is non-binary and goes by the pronoun they/them. Nevertheless, great reaction, I liked how it reminded you to all the different genres from Billie Elish through NIN to industrial and jazz. Thanks for the inside, I didn't know they're non-binary:) I will put Tsunami on my list, too. Just because of the video length I might switch to the original video - they have one, right?
@@scharsigoThe Tsunami live performance video is only 3:37. Elevem:eleven is only a part of the song title, haha 😁. It has an official mv, too, on Bambie's channel, i just thought you might want to see them live.
I guess you’d rather have a star than moon .. I guess I always overestimate you .. Who who’d have know all the things that you do .. who can’t relate to that chorus that has had a broken 💔 her voice is fabulous and how she can switch it up and down it’s a vocal masterpiece and as for the theatrical performance., I’d call it gothic rock almost death metal part with the screaming/ roaring.
I say with kindness that Bambi identities as non-binary and uses the terms "they/ them". Weren't they just fantastic ! at the semi finals. Fingers crossed now for tommorow night ☮️❤️
Great reaction. Bambi uses “they/ them pronouns”. They are pretty chilled with how people use them but just a note. Can’t wait to see this live it’s going to be amazing
Maybe I should have listened to the lyrics a bit more but when I said cheesy I referred more to the old ones or the latest pop numbers, so maybe more about the production or.. I don't know :D
What do you guys think? Will this year be a good one for Ireland or will it end doomsday blue?

I saw it, or better:: experienced it! I think they got most of their points because of the performance quality :)

Their back catalogue is phenomenal!!!! Their music videos are amazing also!
So refreshing from Ireland..and soo good..a possible top 5 ♥️🇨🇭

Wow, thank you so much 🙏
Great reaction Scharsigo, thank you. Like watching a movie in 3.5mins, an amazing creative artistic performance, Ireland 12 points
You're welcome! :)
I really like the lyric, "you could slow dance me out of my sorrow". Bambie is amazingly creative and you can't put Bambie in a box.
If you put me in a box with Bambie: I'd be happy.

Check out "Tsunami" or "Love Bites " to see what an incredibly artistic, theatrical, dramatic talent they are. Class !
Heard about Bambie thug, being from Ireland, but I didn't hear the recording or see it til the semi finals. I was blown away. Wow!!!
Well - the staging in the semi-final has woken Europe up!

The contrast between dark/light/shade.
In a relationship. The ups and downs. Excellent staging in the sf. Just love it. 🧙
The song has been revamped, its got added strings and a bit cleaner. Search revamp 🙌🏻
I tossed Ireland Eurovision years ago but this is good well done Bambi
You should watch the live performance, it is fantastic
They have a background in musical theatre, so i'd love to see Doomsday Blue as a full theatre production
Great reaction...very detailed...keep it up
Thanks a lot ✌️
It was even more powerful live

React to the live too:)) cuz the live performance spoke for itself

In future, I will keep that in mind like I do with Kim Dracula, too. I just didn't know that, thank you for the info! :)
Come on bambi
Ireland has won 7 times with "cheesy songs "
...and not only them, I am pretty sure. Germany's last win wasn't deep either :D
You should really see the live performance, it was better than the video.
It was not good this year
This song was a real crap and evil orientated message...a real garbage song...😢😢😢
Well, I don't think so

Germany gave Ireland zero. Why? Because Ireland supports Palestine.
And we in Ireland were grown up and mature enough to give Israel 10 points. Her song was beautiful.
Never count on Germany, no matter what. Our jury gave Sweden 12... I mean.. 😅
