Thank you Jag. I'm new to gardening. I prefer container gardening. This is the first time I've seen such a great tutorial on growing this many wonderful plants! I will subscribe!!!
Very Educational & Frugal ...! I ❤️ using what I have to make additional positives in my Garden. Winter months are a Challenge and your Video advice enables me to use the time Wisely. Thank-you !
Thank you so much that is so helpful to know these things of 15 plants I love your Channel I'm glad you showed up I haven't seen you for a while blessings
Thanks a lot for such an informed video. I love to propagate plants from cutting, although don't always have a success. I managed to do it with my blackcurrants last year but failed with the blueberries. Will try again!
Awww. I'm sorry for the failure with your blueberries. But, I'm very happy that your blackcurrants were successful. I am a new gardener. I prefer container gardening. I haven't tried growing from cuttings yet. Still, it really hurts when something goes wrong.
It's always helpful when there are written instructions. I haven't checked for them yet in Jags videos but it would-be a big help if he did include them.
Just found your videos, been container gardening but now expanding out to raised beds and planting fruit bushes... this is info I was looking for previously, can't wait to get started on some of this, Thank you for sharing!
A couple questions: 1) where I live the winters are very long, would I put them under grow lights? Just by a heating vent? Do I just shove the stems in potting soil for 6 months until the snow finally leaves? 2) Have you ever tried honey as a “rooting hormone” and if so would you recommend it to others? I tend to grow mold because I love my plants too hard ☔️ 💦 😂 Sorry for the lengthy questions. I’m really trying hard not to kill everything I’ve put so much time into.
can you explain and teach us how to prune apple, pear and peach please?, i live in the tropics and i just planted apple, pear and peach just a month ago, in my country, they said to make apple bloom, it need to remove all leaves to mimic winter(average temp here about 25-30 C, 25 if rain, 30 if not raining, sometimes up to 32 C), but i still new to manage their trunk and stems
JACK ! your every ATOM is green a Green thumb is nothing compared to you I love watching your videos. You are like a magician with plants ~ can I 'catch it' from you ? If I watch your viral videos, can I become a green-thumb person?
Aaaacckkkk! This is the BEST VIDEO EVAhhhhhh! Hoping to repopulate a blueberry field that produced for generations of ancestors. Now, its been passed down with a dead blueberry field. Still not sure how the hell my ancestors did it. To this day we have no water for the back two fields.
I need to restart my raspberry patch. how often would I water the cuttings? where do I keep them until spring when the ground thaws? I'm in zone 4. Illinois. can I make a tray of them like you show?
Yes, you can, water enough to keep the soil moist at all times, one a day or once every 2 days. Yes, keep them for atleast 2 to 3 months and plant in spring.
I am moving and want to move my vegetable plants. They're in a raised bed now and will be in one in the new home. Can I save them and transfer them? How? I have tomatoes, cucumber, mustard greens and basil
Hi Jag I always wait to watch your videos I enjoy them I don’t have any land to do kitchen gardening but I would take containers and plant celery chives and a few other seasoning I buy everything from the market to you and your family stay safe bye.
Good afternoon jack, I'm on retirement and have started a kitchen garden but something is eating the tips of all my plants during the night. Help help please
No, unfortunately not, apple, cherry and most of the fruit trees are grafted on rootstock. They can be grown from seed but might not be true to the original fruit.
I have tried rose many times but never succeeded, I follow all the tips and methods to cut it remove plant , scratch it at the bottom but still they all die , I don’t know why …. I even tried the soup as well … no luck
This was very interesting but my ears are hurting from the addition of music. Never add music to any DIY, demo, tour, cooking, or wildlife video. Golden rule. Why should my ears hurt from too much distracting sound? Voice only please. You gain nothing from music.
All I could say is wow, you have a lot of knowledge on starting seedlings for fruit and herbs. I'm a new gardener, and wish I could start a berry tree but I could only do it in a container. Thank you for all your info.
take hardwood cutting in winter. you can also grow grapes from cuttings in spring and summer but the success rate is a little lower. Keep the cutting in shade, well watered, and provide nutrients after 1 month, every 2 weeks.
I am so glad I found a farmer in the Central Valley of CA that I can also grow the items. You have helped me with my new container herb and vegetable garden. 🙏🏼🥰👍🏼 🧄🌶🥒🍅🧅🫑
I really enjoy taking clippings and seeing what's going to grow roots. Your video was and inspirational. I'm going to try some hardwood cuttings of my favorite crape myrtle tomorrow! And also sage and lavender cuttings. Hopefully I can visit your farm in the spring and if you have plants for purchase, that would be awesome!
great as usual jag I am expanding my berries so this will help save allot. I need help on pruning my berries. Will you do some vids on pruning raspberries and blackberries?👣👣👣

Probably earwigs, check at night with flashlight and identify which bug
Can I take wisteria stem to root?
What are you thoughts on drunkstick trees?
can i propagate a mulberry tree the same way as the blackberry tree?
I plan to propagate this fall/winter, should they all go inside till spring?
zone 9 and above, yes inside til spring
When we do for the fig?
Anytime of the year
@@DaisyCreekFarms thx👍. Can we do the same for all of them?
what zone are you doing this in and what about zone 5 doing this?
I am in zone 9, do this indoors in winter in zone 5.
Can you do the same with apple or cherry trees? Or is only limited to the 15 you discussed? Thank you for this btw very informative
No, unfortunately not, apple, cherry and most of the fruit trees are grafted on rootstock. They can be grown from seed but might not be true to the original fruit.
So no all cuttings needs roots hormone? So We just has to do it exactly like you just show us in this video? Hope you respond, thank you.
Not all cuttings need root hormone.
I have tried rose many times but never succeeded, I follow all the tips and methods to cut it remove plant , scratch it at the bottom but still they all die , I don’t know why …. I even tried the soup as well … no luck
With the rose cutting do you do that in the winter also and on an old stem or new? Thx Jag👍🏼😉❤️
Using new stem for rose and in early spring is better, or you can do anytime during summer while the rose plant is growing.
@@DaisyCreekFarms awesome Jag! Thank you 👍🏼🥰💜

I don't think blackberries are easy to grow from cuttings. My cuttings always die.
Nice to see you, thanks again..
Thank you Jag!
Jag. I did do the grape cuttings in the begging of summer . It gave me root but no leaves. What did I do wrong. kindly reply.
