My school had mashed potatoes and meat gravy and veggies mixed in in the winter to keep us warm, and it was the best thing ever. My mom who worked in the cafeteria for a while when I was there still makes it to this day when I'm ill, or if we're dealing with a particularly brutal winter.
I feel like almost everyone has that one friend that will make weird food combinations with their school lunch. Such as things like cucumbers with syrup, pizza with chocolate milk, a dorito with milk-applesauce-mayonnaise, and more. It is honestly amusing to see what they think, but also usually disgusting at the same time.

reminds me of how not too long ago my friend mixed ranch, mustard, a hard-boiled egg's yolk, and bbq sauce then ate it and claimed it was good.

Almost every single day (through kindergarten, grade school, and secondary school) my mother always made me a lunch with either Rice or Noodles. Lunch was like my favourite part of the day!

In my school, the smiley fries and tater tots were as dry as a desert. Most people almost choke eating them, but at least they taste good. On the other side, the Basco sticks were god-tier. When I wanted to pass on anything afterwards, I would eat this and then speed through a 12 question test in 15 minutes and get a 100 somehow. Also: here's a story. When I was in 3rd grade, one kid (the only one in my class) got a cheese pizza. The cheese looked like plastic somehow, but he still ate it. A few minutes later at recess, I was with my friends when in the distance we hear someone throw up. We look and it was the kid who got the pizza. He then just ran to the teachers and said, crying, "Can i go to the nurse????". The teachers said "Yeah" and gave him a pass. He went inside the building and on his way, threw up again. None of us had that pizza again, but when I asked him if he was sick, he just said "I have acid reflux.". I don't think that's how acid reflux works...
On the last day of school before Thanksgiving break, the food we were given was chicken nuggets and some other stuff. I got the nuggets and they looked a bit more oily than usual. I didn't mind it because you know how cafeteria food is. Being the fat little snob I am, I asked if anyone would like to give their nuggets away literally no one wanted them and i felt like this is my lucky day. It was not. When I got home, I felt my stomach tighten in pain, as if it was tied like a knot. I then felt like I needed to throw up and constantly felt like using the restroom. I could still taste the chicken nuggets in my mouth. I looked up to see what was wrong with me and found out that I may have had food poisoning. So for the next few days, I felt bloated and sick. Luckily, I healed before Thanksgiving arrived so I could enjoy real food. And now, I'll never be able to enjoy chicken nuggets from my cafeteria again.

I have to disagree with the energy drink one. There's a kid in my class who drinks energy drinks before school and at lunch and he is genuinely the friendliest person I know. Everyone in the whole high school(and even some of the older middle schoolers) is like "Oh him? Yeah he's super cool! He helps me with (Insert thing here) all the time!"
I'll be surprised if he doesn't some get sort of hospitality award at graduation. Hell, even the teachers are friends with him!

3:24 That reminds me... I don't know about any of you, but during my senior year in high school our school would sell coffee in the morning every day for $1. It was great! I made sure I had my dollar on me every day.
Same with me. I went to a private Christian school and for a year, we had a coffee machine and I'd get a cafe mocha from it for only a dollar. Then it broke down and we were stuck with the one cappuccino machine we had in the kitchen. Needless to say, I got a large cappuccino almost every day until the end of senior year. I couldn't get enough of the stuff.

I go to a school without a cafeteria, and everyone brings their own food from home, and I just have a PB&J, Goldfish and Fudgee-os. Although I don't always have a sandwich, sometimes I have leftover spaghetti because it's one of the few things my dad knows how to make.

I’m a college student, everything is expensive
Back in highschool some of us would just get a pizza (or more depending on how many people were eating or if there was a coupon) delivered to the school and split the cost. It took a surprisingly long time for the school to stop us.
In my school with oranges, people will smash them on the table to make orange juice. Some people even ask for extra oranges from others and fill a bottle with the orange juice
The best things I ate at my school were the Chicken Sandwich, pizza and the breakfast platter (3 French toast sticks, a biscuit, 2 sausage patties, with syrup), and the Nachos
Our breakfast platter had 4 French toast sticks, 1 sausage patty, tater tots, and syrup and I always kept asking ppl if I could eat theirs💀

At 2:09 , I remembered of an incident at the dinner table with my friends. One of my friend would always try to do ASMR right in my ears all the time and I would always push him off. Well this one time, he had a grape, a really juicy grape and he approached me and with his mouth open. He then popped the grape. I didn’t even realize he was there and the juice went all over my face and my arm. I looked at him in disgust and he ran all the way to the other side of the table. He never did asmr on me again. It was like really disgusting.

My favorite is the nachos. Usually schools give out beef and cheese in a cup and I would mix it around with a chip until it’s brown.

My school is one of those schools that actually HAS good food. I’m always the one to DASH to be one of the first in line because I hate wait times. Then after I eat I just sit in the library watching whatever on UA-cam like I usually do.

Despite going to a private Christian school, we didn't have a traditional cafeteria like what I'd see in tv shows and books set in schools. We had a different meal each day and some days of the week had the same thing served. Hot dogs and nachos on tuesdays, pepperoni pizza and ice cream on thursdays, fridays were usually reheated spaghetti which disgusted me to no end, especially since my family made spaghetti regularly and I was already getting sick of it by high school. On the last friday of the month though, we got the good stuff. Pepperoni rolls, customizable salads, baked potatoes, and taco salads. The good stuff was ALWAYS at the end of the month and I was all FOR it!
Mondays and wednesdays were usually kinda meh, so I didn't remember those as well compared to the tuesday, thursday, and friday meals. Borrowed money quite a few times just to get the good lunches.

I get the best food every day at school that is made by my mother.
I have bread with ham and cheese, always some fruit, yogurt when we have it in the fridge, unless there is none and 2 gingerbread cookies. I almost forgot to put water, or ya would've thought that I don't drink, while I technically drink less, just a sip and then no more.

Those lunch ladies deserves an award because literally their food is so good down to the gumbo all the way to the full pizza. Like every dish they make is perfectly cooked and the garlic bread stick they make is so damn good, like the salt has the perfect amount on the garlic bread stick. And the seasonings they put on there, like omfg. like bro I need to know their recipes.
Idk if it was only my school or country but you can bring in a "pack lunch" from home. It means you have food from home that you eat normally instead of a specific food.

My school sells warm food like warm burgers,Fries,Pizza,Tacos,Nuggets,Rice,Chicken and Beef Pattys
As a burger eater: my school, is terrible. It's in the middle of nowhere and I hate almost everything about it, I shouldn't even be here. However: one of the few things I like about it, is the food. I run to lunch to assure I get the hamburger, that meat and cheese is actually good, then I get jalapeños to place above the cheese, then I go to the salad bar to get pickles, then a tomato. Finally: I get an ungodly amount of that crunchy salad and place mustard above it. If the salad bar isn't open I get one of those salad pouches with tomato and lettuce. I love my lunch.
If I ain't hungry I just get a microwave burrito, those things are good too. Good food here.
