  • This isn't the famous underground river in Palawan... It is an amazing underground river in the Marag Valley, Apayao!
I can't believe I had never heard of this place before! WOW! This is such a great adventure you can have while exploring the northern Philippines. A thirty minute trek across a river in Luna Apayao will lead you to the entrance of Manacota Underground river. This place is beautiful, clean, enchanting... and full of natural surprises!
The rock formations and swimming area at the other side of the underground river are AMAZING!
This is definitely one of the best places I have experienced in the Northern Philippines!
    APAYAO IS AWESOME!

That was awesome Kyle going through that natural wonder. In the mid 80's Marag Valley was the battleground between the Philippine Army and NPA. There used to be battle tanks stationed in there to combat the so called insurgents. If you mentioned Marag Valley then it was a no man's land because people would immediately think of war in that jungle. All your tour guides weren't born yet then. How good it is to know that you could now peacefully travel to that area and rightfully so to appreciate the raw beauty of the place. Keep on looking for the beautiful experiences through your appreciative eyes. We thank you so much!

He was a school teacher in Canada before he got here in the Philippines and started vlogging about 5 years ago if I was not mistaken. He immersed himself with the local community and its culture that's why he knows a lot of our culture and legends. He even learned to speak visaya. He was based in Cagayan de oro for many years before settling in a beachfront property in Cateel in Davao del Norte where he built a house with a longtime Filipino friend Kumar who co owns the beach property. There's another foreign vlogger who is awesome as Kyle, he is a Welsh guy named Anselm or Kumander Daot. Follow both their channels.
