    It’s a beautiful park system to bike and walk around, the only thing I don’t understand is so many people using E bikes who don’t need to, if you have a handicapped or in ability that makes sense, but why don’t healthy people just use regular bicycles, better for you, better exercise, and way better for your heart. What a society oh well, Either way enjoy the ride

      Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. I can't speak for all people who have ebikes, but we ride them for two main reasons (1) we do have physical limitations that you can't see in the videos -- but do exist -- so the bikes give us the chance to ride trails we might not be able to otherwise, and (2) ebikes enable us to go longer distances. I think that just getting out and peddling (no gas powered/throttle bikes) regardless of the bike is far better than the couch potato alternative. We hope to to "see" you again on our next adventure.

    New subscriber here. As a former Cleveland area resident, I really miss the "Emerald Necklace" (Cleveland Metroparks). It's truly a treasure. When I was a lot younger I used to fly down those trails on my 10-speed. Now, due to old knees and living in a hilly area (Pocono Mountains), I'm considering an ebike.

      Hi. Welcome to our channel. We are so happy to have you as a subscriber. There is no doubt there are a lot of great rides in the Cleveland area - which we appreciate since it’s only a few hours from home. My husband had a knee replacement and I have a problem with my ankle - the ebikes have kept us riding.

    I've been following your adventures for a short time and appreciate your commentary along the way. How many years have you been riding? What is one of your favorite trails? So many questions...thanks

      Hi. We’ve been riding for 8 years, but we only got into ebiking about 5 years ago when I started having physical issues - the ebikes have kept me riding. I don’t know if I can give you one favorite trail because there is something great about almost every one of them. What we do enjoy are the trails that have a history. So the C&O Canal and the Erie Canal are fascinating because of the engineering feats they accomplished, The Lehigh Valley Gorge Trail is really pretty and if we could have timed it when the rhododendrons were in bloom I think that would have been breathtaking. The Sea to Shining Sea was short, but you ride along the ocean and can grab the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard for more great riding. Later this year we are going out West to ride some other iconic rail trails. Thanks for watching and we hope to “see” you on the next ride.

    Looks like you have Gazelle bikes. I bought one last year and think it's great. I am interested in learning what accessories you have found useful on them. Maybe a future video subject? Thanks for your videos.

      Hi. Thanks for watching. We do have a video planned on our bikes, but have to get the snow off the ground to do it. We're hoping to get that out in April or May.

    Did you ever figure out why your e-bike stopped on a hill? That was weird. I have both a regular and e-bike and love them both!!

      Hi. Our bikes don't have a traditional derailer system. They have a belt drive. So you can shift at a stop or on the fly. But you have to take like 1/2 pedal backward when you are moving to get it to engage. It's likely I didn't do that and then I couldn't recover. It hasn't happened since -- so I chalk that up to user error!!

      @@Adventuresonebikes oh good news. I looked at the belt driven e-bikes, I like the concept but ended up getting a less expensive e-bike since its my 3rd bike…LOL

      @@vanomadcyclist3474 We really love our Gazelle's. Just once in a while I shift and don't take the pause it requires and I get stuck. This is the first time I've been unable to recover going up a hill.

    Another good run with justification for a beer (is that ever needed?) on a hot day. You stated that it was uphill on the return....what was the grade?

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes  Рік тому +2

      Hi Don, Yes, the golf course was in just the right spot on the trail! The trail itself had ups and downs, but there was a fairly steep, but short grade at the end to get back into the park we started in. Lot's shorter than on our ride in TN with you. With the ebike you can get right up it.

    Always seemed a bit ironic, some of the best places to ride through nature or within the larger city limits.

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes  Рік тому

      It does, but it so great for the cities to make sure there are spaces like this. Thanks for watching.
