Also I can recommend Save Me and Solomon's Perjury which both are kind of dark and realistic. But keep in mind these series has little or no romance in it :)

Really tho. I could feel how the son of that family feels. It was so frustrating. And when he fight with his dad, i feel like he shout it out on behalf of me (my relationship with my dad is okay. But still i could relate to him). And when the dad took out his sniper and tried to shoot him, it scares the hell out of me. Much worse than watching thriller movie.

this show is one of the best things i've ever watched so far. The last 4 episodes i couldn't stop crying everything was so depressive and beautifully written with the ost it was even better.And this show made me think about my own life and how people around you should not control you if they do you just get out of the hell the sociesty created.

Just like "Penthouse: War in Life", this k-drama is addictively engaging and powerful. The message and commentary on South Korea's education system (which applies to many other countries too), social injustice, inequalities and parental pressures are profound and provocative. A must-watch series!

@@N02cik it's a really fucked up show. Addresses a lot of social problems on parents emphasizing too hard on children to study for the best University. The show shows some backstories of the parents of why they act the way they do with their children to make them study super hard and put immense pressure on their kids, and in turn changes most of their kids to be misguided. Big cliffhangers that makes you want to watch the next episodes right away, great acting overall, top notch cinematography, and a great main theme soundtrack makes this k-drama one of the best ever. I wouldn't say the ending is 100% tragic, but it's not the most fairy tale happy ending either. It's best if you watch it yourself to find out.

This is the best family drama I have ever watched in my entire life. No wonder it’s number 1 and very highly recommended! What a brilliant Kdrama! Not a typical one. I wept buckets.... It’s so heartbreaking and entertaining at the same time. I love the humour. I also sympathize the struggles of both parents and children nowadays. Truly raising children is not easy.

Thats why he is meant to be my bias. I watched Sky Castle not even knowing Yoongi watched ittt. It must also be relatable to him since he pursued music and he had feud with his parents.
I am an Indian woman and I watched this drama in my 30s , giving you context that I have seen many other amazing stuff on TV national, international, including GOT etc but this drama was the best I have seen in my life. When my friend asked me how I found it, I said it was like being on drugs. I couldn't stop. Sleek storyline, what amazing acting, I had not experienced emotions like this in another language besides my mother tongue. This was overwhelmingly awesome.

I sort of put off seeing this series because I could not fathom how another series could get better ratings than my personal favorites Secret Garden and My Love from Another Star. But I finally decided to watch it and after the first episode, I literally do not know how the original Korean viewers waited for the next episode every week! I watched 2 episodes a day for 10 straight days! This is s brilliantly written drama that hits real-life themes of integrity, honesty, regret, and redemption. The storyline takes the viewer on quite a journey with very thought-provoking themes. One of the real strengths of Korean-style dramas is that they are not afraid to use the smallest detail to affect the characters' development and to emphasize the dramatic elements. I now have this on my list of favorite dramas ever right next to Mr. Sunshine!🤗🤗🤗
This is such a good balance of intense and comedy in my opinion, I never thought that this drama had comedy on it which made it 100 times better. One of the best dramas out there
Before even reading the other comments, my immediate thought was the same: this trailer doesn't do the drama justice. In fact, it barely makes a dent in the actual storyline. By the end of ep 1, you realize just how different a ride you're in for than what the trailer leads you to believe.
As someone who watched this series i can assure u that this trailer is not even the tip of iceberg that drama is much more than that just watch one episode i can bet that u will click on next episode by yourself

i hate this trailer with a passion. i'm on episode 6 out of 20 and this trailer is so shallow and does absolutely nothing to convey what this series is actually about - yes, rich and extreme tiger mums and their scheming, but also (more importantly) what each family member is going through (because of it and/or just in general). Dealing with fucked up family dynamics, insecurity, anxiety, depression, pride, greed, shame... sometimes I actually laughed out loud, because the comedic relief in places is great :). meanwhile all they did here is just a shitty summary of the first episode with a bad music choice. i'm usually not a fan of this genre, but it's surprisingly, actually a really good series so far. it feels genuine, not overdone and the acting is amazing. you should give it a try :)!
Just finished binge-watching this TV series. No wonder it's "megapopular". I cried, laughed, got annoyed & frustrated, but got inspired about life in general. Highly recommended drama 10/10.

I was hestitated because of this trailer but still watch it in the end during this quarantine time and I have to say THIS TRAILER DOESNT DO JUSTICE FOR THE DRAMA. It’s like the Parasite but KDramas for me. It literally the best Kdrama that talks you through, you can relate to all of them either as a child or a parents.
So they’re finally putting it on Netflix are they? To anyone wondering about this drama- it’s amazing. The actors act so well and are full of emotions, and there’s rarely a boring moment. It really is relatable to students as well and it shows the pressures of society so well too! One of my favorite dramas
The show is really really nice and has a good moral lesson. It just shows how bad the education system is, and how these parents pressure the poor kids for them to get good grades, get into some university for college, and becoming a doctor which leads the kids to having depression and having their lives ruined as it is happening in real life.
I've watched a ton of kdramas and hands down this is definitely one of the best I've watched. No cliche love story, great plot and great character development. Really widened my horizon on education and social status. 10/10
SKY is a very common and famous phrase that stands for Seoul National University(Seoul University/SNU), Korea University(고려대) and Yonsei University(연세대), which are absolutely prestigious in South Korea, just like ‘Ivy League’ and ‘Oxbridge’ terms. So, when a random Korean guy sees the name of the series, it will be easy for him to assume that it is something about universities. These universities are really notorious for the privileged and little opportunities to enroll. SKY Castle though is a different fictional place in the series, and unis are not everything going on. It is an incredible series that I’d like to highly recommend as a Korean girl who does not really watch TV :O
I just finished watching this drama for the first time but holy, I love this drama so much. So addicting. I admit I was bored watching the first episode but still gave it a second chance and glad I did.
This drama isn't my usual genre but man when i started watching it I couldn't stop. This trailer didn't give it justice. This also has the most satisfying ending it's so good.
This trailer actually put me off watching the show but later on -since I kept seeing ppl recommending it- I decided to give it a go. I never thought I’ll say this but Sky Castle has definitely become my favourite tv series. A very addictive storyline- forcing me to binge it in 4/5 days. The acting is SO SO good, incredible directing and it is very plot driven. It has a great balance of both humour and seriousness. I couldn’t stop laughing at many parts and cried at other moments. There’s a reason why it has such high ratings. The trailer truly doesn’t offer it justice. Really regret putting it off for so long and absolutely recommend it!

I'm on Episode 13! Great story, awesome actors, love the cinematography! I think this is my 2nd most recommended, next to Secret Affair.
Just finished binge-watching this TV series. No wonder it's "megapopular". I cried, laughed, got annoyed & frustrated, but got inspired about life in general. Highly recommended drama 10/10.

This drama made my heart ache so much. I was constantly calling the parents trash and my heart was hurting for the kids. Please watch it if you haven’t. It shows the rough reality of how low some parents get and damage their kids.

I have never rewatched a single drama or movie in my life but sky castle is the only drama I have rewatched. Let me tell you it is worth rewatching. I can feel the same thrill and hype as the first time I watched it.

THIS TRAILER DOESNT DO JUSTICE FOR THE DRAMA. It’s like the Parasite but KDramas for me. It literally the best Kdrama that talks you through, you can relate to all of them either as a child or a parents.
So they’re finally putting it on Netflix are they? To anyone wondering about this drama- it’s amazing. The actors act so well and are full of emotions, and there’s rarely a boring moment. It really is relatable to students as well and it shows the pressures of society so well too! One of my favorite dramas

The show is really really nice and has a good moral lesson. It just shows how bad the education system is, and how these parents pressure the poor kids for them to get good grades, get into some university for college, and becoming a doctor which leads the kids to having depression and having their lives ruined as it is happening in real life.

SKY is a very common and famous phrase that stands for Seoul National University(Seoul University/SNU), Korea University(고려대) and Yonsei University(연세대), which are absolutely prestigious in South Korea, just like ‘Ivy League’ and ‘Oxbridge’ terms. So, when a random Korean guy sees the name of the series, it will be easy for him to assume that it is something about universities. These universities are really notorious for the privileged and little opportunities to enroll. SKY Castle though is a different fictional place in the series, and unis are not everything going on. It is an incredible series that I’d like to highly recommend as a Korean girl who does not really watch TV :O

This drama isn't my usual genre but man when i started watching it I couldn't stop. This trailer didn't give it justice. This also has the most satisfying ending it's so good.
This trailer actually put me off watching the show but later on -since I kept seeing ppl recommending it- I decided to give it a go. I never thought I’ll say this but Sky Castle has definitely become my favourite tv series. A very addictive storyline- forcing me to binge it in 4/5 days. The acting is SO SO good, incredible directing and it is very plot driven. It has a great balance of both humour and seriousness. I couldn’t stop laughing at many parts and cried at other moments. There’s a reason why it has such high ratings. The trailer truly doesn’t offer it justice. Really regret putting it off for so long and absolutely recommend it!
