When Young Woo was accused of nepotism, she really got her back. I really like her character. If I have to be honest, at first I thought she was going to be the mean second lead, but it surprised me seeing her like this

I got a LUMP in my throat with the Spring Sunshine scene. You can see the character Su-yeon’s facial expression change, and she gets teary-eyed at how Young-woo sees her, and Su-yeon’s regrets about how she’s treated and felt about Young-woo clearly come to the surface. It’s one of the most touching scenes of the season…. And you can instantly see how fiercely protective and loving Su-yeon becomes of Yw.
She realised there is better compliment than you are beautiful. She realised her inability to say no and her habit of reluctantly helping other people isn't vain its actually making other people genuinely happy. She realised she is important and meaningful

She's rich, smart, beautiful, and comes from a powerful family. She does things for herself and has her own core beliefs. She sees Woo as a person and acknowledges that she has some social issues but nothing major aside from anything Woo wouldn't openly admit. So she helps her because why not. She doesn't probably think she's doing Woo any favour and just simply accepts that there are things she can do for her out of kindness. 4:45 I love Suyeon so much. In another drama or movie she would be childishly jealous of, dislike or even be mean to the other woman because of some guy. But Suyeon isn’t so shallow and she’s her own person. If the man she likes doesn’t like her back, she moves on gracefully and never tears down the woman. Spring sunshine scene is one my most favorite scene in EAW. Feels so sincere and heart warming. Even Eun-Bin and Yoon-Kyung are teary eyed while rehearsing this scene as shown in the bts.

What I loved most about both these ladies is that they didn't treat her as if she had a disability and the important part of their friendships was they never let Woo use her disability as an excuse not to try harder or to fight through. I love them both because of this❤❤❤❤❤
I love that Suyeon didn't turn against another woman just because over a man. Instead, she even supported Wooyoung and helped her whenever she could. She's such a great character
I think it shows her strength. Min Woo is opportunistic and cunning but he never tried to be underhanded against Atty Choi because he can't see any weakness from her. Atty Woo has obvious social issues. What made Atty Woo frustrated against Atty Woo is her strength as a genius compensates so much against her weakness. But even when he pointed this out against Atty Choi, she didn't refute his claims but rather told him that she would still do what was right and will still be kind to her. Any pragmatic person will see her claims as illogical or conclude that she is strong enough to even consider profit or loss.
The friendships between the women in this show is so beautifully written. I dont cry very often, but that spring sunrise scene makes me cry, its so touching.
That scene in episode 7 when Young Woo tells Su Yeon about what happened with Jun Ho was so good. Su Yeon got a bit irritated not because she was jealous or something but because Young Woo was looking down on herself when Su Yeon can see that she is so much more than her "disability", you can see that she cares about Young Woo so much that she disregarded her own feelings and is trying to setup Young Woo with Jun ho so that Young Woo could be happy. And that Spring Sunshine scene is never gonna get old. Being appreciated, even for the smallest gestures, is one of the best feeling there is. And yeah, Dong Geu Ra-Mi is basically Young Woo's mother.
Dong Geu Rami is the source of Young Woo's unexpected words /actions, the one she always run to for advice. On the other hand, Suyeon is Young Woo's partner and supporter who always got her back be it work or love. I love how they treat YW with no prejudice and care for her in their own ways, making YW open up to them and be comfortable with them. I hope in season 2 we can see more of this trio and they will get closer to 🥰
Ra-mi and Su-yeon are the best examples of friends not just because they are kind to Young-woo but they are treating Young-Woo as their fellow human not the pitied girl who needs help to do everything.
The writing in the this drama was superb. I thought Suyeon was some friend turned to enemy type of girl to Young Woo because they liked the same guy but nope! they became so close to the point that she is her spring sunshine. Both Geurami and Suyeon is like bestfriend and mother to Young Woo. It's so wholesome 😍😍😍
It's so refreshing to see Kdramas evolve to now include more strong friendships between females, instead of just pitting them as love rivals. The spring sunshine scene is one of my fav scenes in the drama - it was what convinced me to give this drama a go and I don't regret it.

I don't have Netflix, and I HAVE to see this! I teared up during the Spring Sunshine scene. I'm autistic too, and my bff is my Spring Sunshine. It's hard to make friends when you're autistic, believe me, and having a ride or die friend is worth more than all the money in the world. I hope people watch this and learn to be kind, we're human and we feel just as deeply as you, we just are wired a little different. ❤
When suyeon yells at youngwoo and says “what do you mean it isn’t easy to love you,” that almost brings me to tears. That is so sweet of her to say bro.
I literally clapped when Suyeon took a stand for Woo Young woo in that nepotism scene.She made the character her own. All the characters are so well written and almost all of them were well performed.The writer/s did an awesome job,but I as a viewer felt the character development of Kwon Min ho seemed abrupt,it didn't seem natural, also the relationship they were trying to build between Suyeon and Minho seemed forceful.These are only my point of view. Also the main characters are written to be loved and as such they are loved anyway but sometimes some other characters are written and performed so beautifully that they leave a lasting impact on the viewers, for me Suyeon, Attorney Jung,that lady Attorney in the patriarchy case and Dong Geurami are those characters in this series. The character Kwon Minho was also well performed,I understand his perspective too,in real world people have to be like this even if they don't want to because we are trapped in a system like that but a few times he crossed the line and went out of his way and straight up was being an evil.All in all it was a good watch.
I 100% agree. Actually the fact that Kwon Min Ho was sometime evil toward Young Woo made him more human. He struggled to get there, he clearly never got the sympathy that Young Woo can get or the support by money/association that Choi Su Yeon can get. He had to become an adult too early it seem and it made him insensible to others suffering. He doesn't want to succeed, He need to. Does it makes it right not at all but this is more real than just to have some antagonist that his an antagonist for the sake of it. His development should have been done slower and his relationship with Su Yeon should have been built up from the beginning. We should have gotten more bickering scene but with both of them acknowledging that they find the other attractive before jumping to the full relationship. He actually feel that Young Woo is strong and that to me is quite refreshing, he see her as a worthy opponent not some poor disabled person and that's why even if he is being a jerk to her, it doesn't feel as bad as when her high school classmates are bullying her because she has autism.
I agree. If Min-woo stayed at the Ep 5-level of antagonism, then it would've been fine for him to be redeemed in this short amount of time and that way, but bcos he did all that shady stuff, he'd need to do more to redeem himself properly. I would've preferred for him to be with Geu-ra-mi instead though, bcos of how different they are. Su-yeon's side-story was looking for a partner throughout the entire season and they made her too easily swayed, when she shouldn't have been, especially after just being tricked by a guy who did that kind of stuff for her. So for her, I would've preferred if she just found comfort in being on her own without feeling the need for a man in her life.
completely agree with what you said right now. we also have the same characters that left a great impression on me! as for attorney kwon, we get to see a little backstory of his family and why he needs to be tough and practical all the time. however that doesn't excuse how insensitive, greedy, and selfish he comes off at times. these are very ugly traits that we humans do not want to witness because we also have this ugly side to us. that's why attorney kwon's change in character was so sudden and untasteful. it should've been a slow burn for real, in a way that we can enjoy and feel the sincerity he is putting into redeeming himself. i also doesn't like how the writers decided to pair suyeon with kwon minho. the narrative lowkey comes off as "I can fix him" kinda trope. it's so overrated. it's as if kwon decided to change now because he learned that suyeon likes him. whether he knew or didn't know about suyeon's feelings, he should've tried to fix himself first or decided to choose good and do good from the very beginning. suyeon, my girl, deserves someone that's compatible with her and understands her point of view. she deserves real love y'know. i also didn't like how they write suyeon as someone who became "easily fooled by love" near the end of the show. i never saw her that way so it was a surprise how she suddenly became attracted to kwon. so sudden i swear.
I really liked the scene when her friend is helping Young Woo with her pronunciation and how to say objection (which we see later on that episode, Young Woo actually used), we often see her talking really fast when she is saying stuff she memorized or talking about legal things but when it comes to actually forming sentences and talking to people I can notice she makes and extra effort to pronounce every word correctly and make sure everyone understood her. I suppose since she was non verbal during a part of her childhood she learned those principles (vocalization, pronunciation, tone, etc) later in life, so seeing her friend be aware about that and actually helping her instead of joking that "she can't talk properly" is such a nice change of tone when treating autistic characters!
Suyeon is such a kind-hearted friend she could easily end things between Woo Young Woo and her crush and get her out from her job but stood up for her, looked out for her and supported her whenever she needed it. I also apriciate the fact that she bravely moved on from her first date instead of trying anything else. So happy she found love as well she deserves a happy ending too but it just makes me smile how close they became with Woo Young Woo in the end❤❤❤
Attorney Woo's friendships with the 2 women was the main reason I loved this show. The romance I found kind of boring, but their friendship was great. Kudos to the writers for writing great characters. These are my 3 friends. We bicker, we misunderstand, but we always love, support and uplift each other.
I cried so hard when young woo called suyeong spring sunshine. In such a competitive environment where they work and instead of being a nasty B, she's still a kind person to young woo when its easy to take advantage of her. If you didn't tear up or cry, there is no kindness in your heart
We all need a friendship like they have. We need a friend who will be there when we need them most without asking them. We need a considerate friend like her. Such a wholesome friendship is hard to come by but if you find any, please keep them always and take good care of them.
If there is a season 2, I want to see someone challenging our young woo. In season 1 she was the one challenging everyone, she outwitted everyone with her quirky ideas. So it would nice to see someone challenging her, a law genius like her, a nemesis, someone who pushes Young woo to be better than the best.😃
Remember, she did with all the cases her great skill is that she’s able to look at a situation from all assets not just what type of law but all the other laws that are out there you’d have to have another person with a photographic memory against her
The main reason why I watch this series is because my grandson 8 years old he is autistic. He is nonverbal hoping one day he will speak. This actress was amazing and I'm glad she was recognized and awarded awards for her outstanding performance. Looking forward to season 2❤
Just rewarching this series and realising how amazing their friendship is and how we need more friends like them... so supportive and caring. S'y yeon had all the chance to be a 'bad' and yet she stayed and supported WYW.
I somehow found this series on Netflix right before I was going to cancel. Glad I didn't. This show is one the best I have ever experienced in terms of script, characters, insanely good acting, meaning, and so much more. So well done. A gift. Thank you to all who made it happen! ...Oh!, and I forgot to mention the Music!! How more perfectly could they have composed the music?! Amazing.
The pressure on the writer to bring s2 with the perfection of s1 is literally unimaginable. I just hope s2 doesn’t become a show which gains viewers just due to anticipation. I want s2 to be more successful than s1.

the entire series was full of clever and unexpected dialog like this - the friendships were in the background - so it's nice that they were extracted and presented up front in this fashion - - the second friend (3:29) - lawyer Ha Yoon-kyung (played by pretty Choi Soo-yeon) - was a surprise - since their relationship at school wasn't mentioned until a ways into the drama
When Choi SY commented to Kwon that Woo Young woo's nickname was always first place I thought she would be those jealous, backstabbing kind of female character typical in Kdramas. But she turned out to be the nicest friend ever. Also, knowing Korean makes this drama even more fun to watch. Did y'all know Dong Geurami means circle in Korean? And her father and uncles' names are Dong Dong 1, Dong Dong 2 and Dong Dong 3 lmao.
i believe Rami’s name was chosen due to circles being the usual symbol for autism and autistic people themselves have shown an affinity to the shape!! a perfect name for Young woo oldest and closest friend
Geurami never treated young woo as anyone special...and that's the most beautiful part of their friendship cause she was the reason young woo never felt alone in the cruel world against her cause Geurami will fight with the whole world for her little young woo!! Suyeon always supported young woo and made her realize her special skills and she was the reason young woo always felt confident cause she had someone like Suyeon behind her who will never let her fall!!!

I love how they treat YW with no prejudice and care for her in their own ways, making YW open up to them and be comfortable with them. I hope in season 2 we can see more of this trio and they will get closer to 🥰
Ra-mi and Su-yeon are the best examples of friends not just because they are kind to Young-woo but they are treating Young-Woo as their fellow human not the pitied girl who needs help to do everything.
The writing in the this drama was superb. I thought Suyeon was some friend turned to enemy type of girl to Young Woo because they liked the same guy but nope! they became so close to the point that she is her spring sunshine. Both Geurami and Suyeon is like bestfriend and mother to Young Woo. It's so wholesome 😍😍😍
I love this drama for the love line, but the friendships in it just take the whole drama to another level, so heartwarming!! 😭😭

I literally clapped when Suyeon took a stand for Woo Young woo in that nepotism scene.She made the character her own. All the characters are so well written and almost all of them were well performed.The writer/s did an awesome job,but I as a viewer felt the character development of Kwon Min ho seemed abrupt,it didn't seem natural, also the relationship they were trying to build between Suyeon and Minho seemed forceful.These are only my point of view. Also the main characters are written to be loved and as such they are loved anyway but sometimes some other characters are written and performed so beautifully that they leave a lasting impact on the viewers, for me Suyeon, Attorney Jung,that lady Attorney in the patriarchy case and Dong Geurami are those characters in this series. The character Kwon Minho was also well performed,I understand his perspective too,in real world people have to be like this even if they don't want to because we are trapped in a system like that but a few times he crossed the line and went out of his way and straight up was being an evil.All in all it was a good watch.
I 100% agree. Actually the fact that Kwon Min Ho was sometime evil toward Young Woo made him more human. He struggled to get there, he clearly never got the sympathy that Young Woo can get or the support by money/association that Choi Su Yeon can get. He had to become an adult too early it seem and it made him insensible to others suffering. He doesn't want to succeed, He need to. Does it makes it right not at all but this is more real than just to have some antagonist that his an antagonist for the sake of it. His development should have been done slower and his relationship with Su Yeon should have been built up from the beginning. We should have gotten more bickering scene but with both of them acknowledging that they find the other attractive before jumping to the full relationship.
He actually feel that Young Woo is strong and that to me is quite refreshing, he see her as a worthy opponent not some poor disabled person and that's why even if he is being a jerk to her, it doesn't feel as bad as when her high school classmates are bullying her because she has autism.
I agree. If Min-woo stayed at the Ep 5-level of antagonism, then it would've been fine for him to be redeemed in this short amount of time and that way, but bcos he did all that shady stuff, he'd need to do more to redeem himself properly.
I would've preferred for him to be with Geu-ra-mi instead though, bcos of how different they are.
Su-yeon's side-story was looking for a partner throughout the entire season and they made her too easily swayed, when she shouldn't have been, especially after just being tricked by a guy who did that kind of stuff for her.
So for her, I would've preferred if she just found comfort in being on her own without feeling the need for a man in her life.
completely agree with what you said right now. we also have the same characters that left a great impression on me! as for attorney kwon, we get to see a little backstory of his family and why he needs to be tough and practical all the time. however that doesn't excuse how insensitive, greedy, and selfish he comes off at times. these are very ugly traits that we humans do not want to witness because we also have this ugly side to us. that's why attorney kwon's change in character was so sudden and untasteful. it should've been a slow burn for real, in a way that we can enjoy and feel the sincerity he is putting into redeeming himself.
i also doesn't like how the writers decided to pair suyeon with kwon minho. the narrative lowkey comes off as "I can fix him" kinda trope. it's so overrated. it's as if kwon decided to change now because he learned that suyeon likes him. whether he knew or didn't know about suyeon's feelings, he should've tried to fix himself first or decided to choose good and do good from the very beginning. suyeon, my girl, deserves someone that's compatible with her and understands her point of view. she deserves real love y'know. i also didn't like how they write suyeon as someone who became "easily fooled by love" near the end of the show. i never saw her that way so it was a surprise how she suddenly became attracted to kwon. so sudden i swear.
I really liked the scene when her friend is helping Young Woo with her pronunciation and how to say objection (which we see later on that episode, Young Woo actually used), we often see her talking really fast when she is saying stuff she memorized or talking about legal things but when it comes to actually forming sentences and talking to people I can notice she makes and extra effort to pronounce every word correctly and make sure everyone understood her. I suppose since she was non verbal during a part of her childhood she learned those principles (vocalization, pronunciation, tone, etc) later in life, so seeing her friend be aware about that and actually helping her instead of joking that "she can't talk properly" is such a nice change of tone when treating autistic characters!
Suyeon is such a kind-hearted friend she could easily end things between Woo Young Woo and her crush and get her out from her job but stood up for her, looked out for her and supported her whenever she needed it. I also apriciate the fact that she bravely moved on from her first date instead of trying anything else. So happy she found love as well she deserves a happy ending too but it just makes me smile how close they became with Woo Young Woo in the end❤❤❤

Attorney Woo's friendships with the 2 women was the main reason I loved this show. The romance I found kind of boring, but their friendship was great. Kudos to the writers for writing great characters. These are my 3 friends. We bicker, we misunderstand, but we always love, support and uplift each other.

The main reason why I watch this series is because my grandson 8 years old he is autistic. He is nonverbal hoping one day he will speak. This actress was amazing and I'm glad she was recognized and awarded awards for her outstanding performance. Looking forward to season 2❤

the entire series was full of clever and unexpected dialog like this - the friendships were in the background - so it's nice that they were extracted and presented up front in this fashion - - the second friend (3:29) - lawyer Ha Yoon-kyung (played by pretty Choi Soo-yeon) - was a surprise - since their relationship at school wasn't mentioned until a ways into the drama
When Choi SY commented to Kwon that Woo Young woo's nickname was always first place I thought she would be those jealous, backstabbing kind of female character typical in Kdramas. But she turned out to be the nicest friend ever. Also, knowing Korean makes this drama even more fun to watch. Did y'all know Dong Geurami means circle in Korean? And her father and uncles' names are Dong Dong 1, Dong Dong 2 and Dong Dong 3 lmao.
