This is how a TOOL show is no close ups of the band out from a distance so you can see everything lights and everything who ever recorded this very very amazing !!!
Danny is a true visionary
The drums are clearly mixed louder than the other instruments, but it is incredible to hear all the details Danny is playing. Love it!!
maynard is still too loud. guy mails it in on some songs, always has. sad
finally a good drum sound when danny is feeling it. holy shit does he go off.
Go see them incredible light show lasers
DANNY IS always feeling it. It's magical God sounds.
There is nothing like a Tool show. NOTHING.
The closest thing to it is king crimson, or Peter Gabriel era Genesis, but I agree they have the penultimate live show, check those out tho, Crim toured with took during the 2001 or 2002 tour
@@IgnisCygnus147
I saw Tool 3X on Lateralus but no King Crimson or my other fave Meshuggah. We got Tomahawk.
I know
Oh my God, Carey was seriously going mad this show
In a bad or good way?
a good way
"Today, right now, somewhere in the world, someone is peacefully giving everything they have for somebody else. Somewhere else in the world, that same person, that same human being, is doing a monstrous thing to somebody else. It seems to be that's the way of the universe, I don't know if there's any way to fix it." - Maynard James Keenan, Charlotte, North Carolina, 1/26/16.
Damn...
Simply put
We
We ain't trying hard enough to fix it
We all need to think of after life
love bonus sections like that on the middle of schism
Awesome, getting me ready to get on ship & tour the multiverse. Love 💘😻💜 Tool
TOOL was the last live show I saw 4 months before Covid started. Waiting patiently to see them again. It was amazing….
Same in Australia
I was there. . .. I still am.
Dude that is so true. You feel like you never left 😂😂
I've seen tool live 5 times. This is the only one I missed. I appreciate the care taken to record it and remix it. Thank you! =)
Thank you Bryan, and my pleasure! It was a killer show, aside from the 2 swinging Bobbsey Twins standing in front of me. The editing and remixing was definitely time consuming, and well worth it.
@@TotalityProductions 2x Thanks here, not on UA-cam a lot so to find this made my day. I got shut out of this show due to how the ticket sales went. Was online right when they went on sale too.
@@crzdave421 Thank you! Tool ticket day is always a crazy, sweaty palm adventure... I have both my computer and phone on the ready, the phone always seems to work quicker and more reliably.
@@TotalityProductions Ya Usually don't have any problems or my friend and we do the same things but that show I just didn't have the luck I guess. i will be in Charlotte for their upcoming show 21st. I will be showing up a little disgruntled thou. It took them 4 yrs to make it back for a make up show prob one of the last ones from the 2020 tour to do so and that 2020 show was on my 40th birthday w very good lower level seats and this time we got almost as good of seats but it won't be the same. I did make the W. VA show in Nov. I hope Maynard changes the set list a hair. Adam has talked about pulling songs out rarely played for these tours, haven't seen that yet.
@@crzdave421 I'm right there with you. I remember there was a Charlotte date coming in 2020 before everything got cancelled. It HAS taken the band a long ass time to get back to Charlotte. I did the fan club thing for this one and scored 2 seats right behind the soundboard in section 110. Hopefully TOOL brings it.
They are the tightest band ever saw
Greatest and tightest....
Missed them on this tour. Would have been at a festival so a shortened set BUT. The fucking setlist the played was just...I mean come the fuck on. I'm so mad I missed it. Never again will I miss a live tool show close enough to get to.
I was there..thanx for the memories
I was here. So badass, can’t wait to see them again
I was there!!! In the house!
thank you
many thanks
Excellent remix! Thanks
I was there, awesome awesome show
Nice setlist
Unless you like to see Lateralous live
They rule
I was there Gandalf..... 3000 years ago.....
Maynard nailed ÆNEMA
Gr8 here for sure
I didn't know Tool has two drummers :)
I always thought they had eight
Maynard's "rant:" 1:34:35 "This is not an apology at-fucking-all" XD
i was there to. 6th time seeing them. i have footage somewhere.
I was there as well! That would have been my third time at that moment.
Anyone notice that he forfeited the intro lyrics he wrote for No Quarter and sang Plant's lyrics?
danny during opiate. OMG
Thanks for uploading. I have a doubt though. Why is that the electric guitar and Maynard's voice were less audible compared to the drums? Was it like this when you are hearing there?
The audio in this video is a mix of an IEM (inner ear monitor) recording of the show, and the audio captured by my iPhone. I believe the mix was 60% IEM, 40% iPhone, as the crowd is almost nonexistent in the IEM audio. You're never going to hear everything perfectly recorded at a concert unless it was recorded through the soundboard.
How the fuck did you get iem sound? Also do you know who's monitors? Some guys like different mixes. Sounds very drum heavy. My guess would be Justin? I was wondering why there ain't drunkards attempting to sing....
@@MaynardOwns radio waves since iem is usually wireless, the signal is just out there in the open.
TotalityProductions this is seriously fucking cool. I’ve never even considered this before. How would one do this? What equipment would you need to tap into the IEMs at a show?
@@Krishnadirty88 if it is an analog connection, just a radio in the right frequency band. Most systems now are digital, so takes a bit more work.
This show was on youtube before and got deleted I think. Was that you? I've been looking for it the past couple days. Same drum mess up on The Grudge beginning, same speech and everything, but the camera and audio on this vid are different.
Not me, this video has been online since March 2017. Hope you enjoyed the show!
1:30:38 "what the fuck are we doin?" - maynard 2017
Hey beautiful family hope to see you all at the tea and toga party after the wedding love from me Amy , Tori and Chris
Chester and Tarja says hi too so does Gavin we all love you!
What happened to the sound in the middle of Vicarious?
At one point this video was flagged and removed for copyright violation, or some such, with Vicarious being the stated reason. After several months the video was reinstated with the obvious “YT edit”. I recently debated uploading that individual track, though feel it would likely suffer the same fate, or this video might get pulled again, too. It’s all a mystery to me as well.
Seems like a lot of empty space on the floor in the back.
i have hiccups
I love tool and this was great, but holy shit schism sounded rough.... :S
It was the mix of Danny's pads being way to overpowering
WHAT? Descending live in 2016? How comes?
These are the bones of what would become Descending.... so rad
maynard fucked the lyrics up at the end of aenema
Imperfection state he s human.....sometime...
Only gods can start a show with a cover.....or have the right to do.....
Imagine yourself in the role of Maynard's psychiatrist. Holy shit! You'd wind up needing one yourself. I figure it would probably be like doing a bunch of angel dust when you're already in the throes of a bad acid trip.
what's wrong with mjk's voice??
Calcium Carbonate where? Admittedly I'm on an old phone, but I don't hear anything wrong
he doesn't even sing at the best part 1:34:05 ???
Pretty sure he’s never sang that live
Holy Shit he did early on, like when they were touring 10,000 Days but I don’t know about after that
mathmatical
I smell marijuana.....That's /illegal/
As great as tool really is they seem to have a connection to Aleister Crowley who designed the star they have hanging above them as one of 3 stars Aleister Crowley used in his Black Majick. Aleister Crowley stood for anti religious free homosexual sex and rock and roll. Now before you say he was cool know that he played with demons stepping outside the circle and probably ending up going to play with demons in Hell.
I smell marijuana...that;s illegal. BEST. LINE. EVER.!!!
