VW How to turn on fog lights.
You may have front and rear VW Fog lights and this simple tutorial shows you how to turn them on.
You should only use Fog Lights when it's very poor conditions such as during Fog or very heavy rain at night.
This should also work for How to turn on Fog Lights on Skoda (some models) and How to turn on Fog Lights on Seat (some models) as they are part of the VW\Audi Group.

Yea my mk4 us model has fogs in the head lights but can’t use them due to the switch doesn’t have the option
Thechristopherryan Maybe they have been fitted afterwards by someone, no good unless they are wired into the double selector fog light switch.

Yes that is completely normal, usually only ever one fog light which is on the drivers side at the rear, so nothing to worry about! Happy New Year
Hello, I have a question. Can I put new headlight switch with rear and front fog lights insted of my old switch which only had rear fog light function even though. I dont have fog lights on my car but I would like to buy them in the future... thanks
Unlikely it will work as won't be a fuse or wiring loom setup for it. Have a look where the front fog lights would go to see if any electrical wiring there. I doubt there is though.
What is the lamp pic near the bottom on the left in pic 1, I thought that was for the fog light, but when you pulled the switch out it still stayed Red ?.

Does it have the fog light symbol on it though? Some newer models it's on a separate button.
If it is on your switch then maybe the switch is broken, but that's unusual.

Front fogs not working! Hi, I have a 2013 VW Polo. When I pull the switch to the first position, the front fogs do not come on and there is no warning light to say that they are on. However, when I pull it to the second position - the rear fogs do come on with the relevant warning light. I have changed the bulbs at the front but they are still not working. Please help
Have you definitely got Front Fog Lights on the car? Could be they are not standard and someone has retro fitted them.
@@LurgsHowToGuides Hi, can confirm that I definitely have the front fogs as a standard feature. One previous owner that made no modifications. I should have mentioned that there is also a change bulb warning light.
@@highonherbz It's unlikely to be a broken switch if the Rear ones come on ok. Really it's a process of elimination. Check that the Front Fogs are getting 12V to them when the switch is on. Also make sure the engine is running and the headlights are on before you try to put the front fogs on. It sounds like an electrical fault somewhere. Good luck and let me know how you get on.
there's a little thing top right of windscreen that hangs down and I've never found out what it is, any ideas please? I've a vw polo match edition, 2014 reg

What does it mean when you turn the fog light on and lights don't work and no fog light indicator light doesn't come on
In some countries (very rare) you don't have a fog light but I'm sure you will. Could be a fuse gone maybe or a faulty switch
My 2010 beetle I just tried and the whole knob came out. Where are the fog lights in the first place? My grill up front does not have lights installed. Could that be the reason why the whole knob doesn’t work and came out?
Not all cars have front Fog Lights. The switch should just pop back in.
Lurgs so if I have fog lights, where are they supposed to be located on a 2010 beetle? Up front bottom grill ?

You might have the button but not any front fog lights
My lights dial only has the one symbol for rear fog, but there are front fog lights fitted at the front. Seems a waste of effort and manufacturing cost. Any knowledge?
Maybe they are aftermarket front fog lights that someone has installed to look good, but don’t actually work? Guess you could buy a new switch and see if they work. I’ve got a video here how to remove it ua-cam.com/video/AGfqAkSNWfk/v-deo.html
